I've watched a lot of content about this case. I think Jason thought she was fragile and he wanted to protect her, but she ended up being the most brutal person he knew. You just never know.
He wanted to be a gross hero to look like a saviour but in reality she was a nut he could manipulate & lock down a *Teen* into marrying. Him. He was old enough to know better. Predator vibes.
Oh my GOSH!!! He is not the bad guy here! He is an empathetic person and always wants to help people. Also, he didn’t know she was bat sh!t crazy in the beginning, and when he finally figured it out he wanted to separate from her. The trouble is, that is very difficult for empathetic people… because they feel guilty if they don’t help. I’m not saying it’s right, but I am saying it’s true.
I’ve had a crazy girlfriend like this once. She slept with all my friends while I would be away working….. she even told me two of them raped her to cover it up…. So many similarities it’s actually scary. In the situation you think you love that person and you want to believe them. I probably believed her for too long. I had two kids with her and when we finally parted ways she used them against me…. Turned my family against me and kept my kids from me…. Im not saying I’ve never done anything wrong in life but all I ever wanted was a family … wife and kids. and I ended up alone in another province homeless and addicted to drugs because I gave up on life…. That was all when I was 22-26. Now I’m 38 and am six years clean and a carpenters apprentice with a good girlfriend who I love very much and who loves me…. There is a lot to be thankful for now…Life is a crazy ride
I have a friend that dated this kind of crazy. It was almost a good thing that it finally ended by her throwing a brick through his window, it was in full view of more than one witness and ring camera, she got locked up a little and a restraining order after the police ignoring his complaints for months. She wanted him to fight back because then he would go straight to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200. These women know exactly how the system works.
@claymac7895, sorry but trusting instincts is terrible advice. It is better to think critically, fact check, and learn more about mental illness and personality disorders. Instincts are not reliable sources of truth.
Trusting instincts is great advice, you sound like the type of person who would fodder for anyone wishing to do you harm. Instincts are a life saver and allow you to make the bets decision in the moment. Not every situation allows you to study and fact check. That is something you can do as time passes
@@scottanonymous798, if by instincts, you mean trusting pure feelings to help you accurately evaluate situations and make sound decisions involving people, then sorry you're wrong. That's been studied extensively and people are terrible at judging deception, etc. The best route to accuracy is to gather objective evidence that takes into account that feelings can lead to wrong conclusions because of fallacious thinking. Feelings are worthwhile to investigate, but not to trust as truth. they just as easily can be wrong.
@JessBlake2 I wish that I would of listened to my Instincts about somethings but I told myself that I was being paranoid and turned out that I should of went with my gut feeling on this lying jerk, this was about cats (long story). So he's not a good person!!! 😡💔😭😻😻😻😻😻😻
The YT channel Dreading has recently done a captivating series on Ezra. This interview with Jason compliments it perfectly. Thank you Stranger Stories... it is very refreshing to hear Jasons side
This dude was/is a true collector of broken souls. He definitely seems to have wanted to fix all of these people - to his own detriment. I hope he’s ok though, but also, that he has learned to keep his empathy safely locked away from those that want to take advantage.
Yep. Codependency will kill you. If you’re always collecting sick people and expecting that your care and understanding will fix them, then getting frustrated that they’re still sick……YOU are sick. Get help. Get healing.
From what Jason is saying, seems Woodworth was a prick to her. I get the impression he tricked her into anal sex. Or forced her into it. N she was only 20 years old. Just had an abortion. Had a non-relationship w her mom. I'm surprised how cruelly everyone - including this channel narration - is viewing her. But then again, as a woman, I know that's how the world is. Everything everywhere is all our fault. Unless we act like demure, vulnerable lil babies we're all somehow the wicked witches of the west.
yea his alex woodworths journals describe how he thinks cheating and being with a taken person is wrong but ezra told him (ie lied) time and time again that jason is very abusive and emotionally checked out and she needed someone to lean on and depend on to get out of a bad relationship and that ezra felt like the love of his life. so i do fully understand how a decent person would want to step up and make an exception for the sake of an alleged victims cry for help especially someone that he felt true love for. i think alex was probably a wonderful guy. jason seems like a good guy too. big hearts like these are often chosen prey for predators like ezra
I am absolutely petrified! I know her! I’ve been sitting here doing research on her. It took me a while to figure out exactly how I know her. I meet her on a online dating site a LONGG time ago. Going on a couple dates. I never would of guessed in a million years she’d become a cold blooded murder. I wonder if she was still had a boyfriend and was cheating around that time? Fml!! I’m blessed nothing came of it
Intuition is a thing, but it can only do so much. Nobody can spot this kind of vile in one meeting IMO. An expert manipulator will always seem more nice first time around than any random socially awkward person. And maybe nothing came about it because of your intuition in the first place.
That girl was scary and I'm always afraid my son will end up on one of these shows because his last ex was like this. She told us she was kidnapped, held in an attic where she was tied to a chair and injected with meth...then set free to clean. Naturally, I'm like, "Son, something about this story seems really SUS." and he'd get mad at me. Well, it all came full-circle when a story got back to him that I kidnapped her, forced her to stay in a traphouse with me while I sold both drugs and my friends. Mind you, I took that heathen on vacation with us to TN while my son was out of town working and I was trying to be nice. We were in a huge cabin with a hottub and a view with bears and shit, man. Anyway, I was left doubting his ability to make good choices in partners after that. With all that said.... I think I'm gonna sound (even more) weird but I'm picky about the voice and tone of my true crime content giver. This is the first account to get me to actually do my very first Patreon subscription. Now I gotta figure out how it works cause I'm old and do the pot.
Wow!! What a story! That's a tough spot to be in as a Mom. Knowing but not being able to "fix it" cause it's your sons life. But on a lighter note.... I too have to like the voice of the person or I'm out. It's truly about the voice. I don't care if it's a super duper well-put-together video that's 3 hrs long.... If I can't stand to listen to them, I'm out. Surprisingly, I do this with the men I've dated too. It's part of the attraction process I guess.
why doubt his ability to choose partners ? a good person would normally hear a traumatic story and believe them because most people don't lie and doubting it can come across as rude. it's not his fault his ex was a weird liar. manipulation is real.
You like this ai voice? I guess it’s better than some. The way the tones change in odd ways still gets to me but they are way better than the ones five plus years ago. Those ones grated liked nails on chalkboard. Like the TikTok voice.
Ezra was a professional lair, manipulator, and VICTIM! She seemed to thrive on chaos, and watching people who cared about her, struggle to help her. Lunatic!
@donovan no she didn’t…he said in his testimony he didn’t ask and assumed she was older. He didn’t find out by chance until weeks later. It’s the one thing she didn’t lie about lol
This guy acts like he's squeaky clean. He's 33 going out with a girl who is 19,that has the maturity of a 14 year old. She screws three different guys in 9 months. and has an abortion in that time period.....What did he expect? He knew she was f upped, irresponsible, and real real needy to begin with. He's not responsible for what Ezra did, but he's no gem. His lack of discretion, and the age difference and Ezra's obvious mental illness would drive someone normal away.
I was always skeptical of Jason's character until watching this video. Generally, well-adjusted adults in their thirties don't start relationships with teenagers. Now I see him as a little immature and naive, but also a sensitive and forgiving man.
Well yes mean he isn't sensitive but controlling and manipulative and the easiest people to try to control are those you don't think are mentally stable. To bad he met someone just as manipulate as him. You can still be a horrible human and not be a murderer.
From what I've seen teenage women adore significantly older men. They don't adore men their own age. Maybe if women were more kind and accepting this wouldn't happen.

So, the girlfriend makes the mistake of cheating, and then thinks she can rectify the mistake, by making an even BIGGER mistake and killing the guy she was cheating on her husband with? What kind of logic goes through these people's minds??
You should look up the case of a woman getting revenge on her cheating husband by pretending to be the mistress and “stalking” him for 2 years. I have one thing to share with the anonymous world here. I did lie about it once. I lied to this one guy that such a thing had happened to me in my past and the reason why I did say that to him was manipulation. BUT my reason for doing that was I was feeling uneasy, not so perfectly safe (it was a date, first time alone together) , so, I played a role a little bit. I wanted to give him a nice reason I'm not feeling it. That was my way out. I had a feeling about him that it would turn him off. And it did. Mission accomplished. Am I bad for that? I never talked to him again after. Tell me if I'm wrong but I believe I didn't do something terrible doing it to turn him off. Tell me.

@@brittx803x2 I've also been abused by my ex. Or how she would demand sexual attention from me and berate me if I didn't give it to her immediately. Every time a couple gets married they have to legally change their name... I had my last name changed because of a custody battle. It's literally not that crazy. It's something people do every single day.
This guy is about 25 years too old to be using "like" every third word. I am not sure I am going to make it through this video. Now, having said that, I feel so sorry for him - he thought his wife was fragile and needed protection when she was actually a vile dangerous person. I hope he's doing well today.
@alexb7641 If you think that makes no sense, you need to rethink the situation. The police are not your friends. Sure, he is innocent, and we know this, but you have the right to have legal counsel with you whenever speaking with law enforcement. I mean, woman put up with the same crap regularly. It all comes down to your character. When you score high in trait agreeableness, and you have confidence issues, narcissists will seek you out and eat you alive. (woman usually score higher in agreeableness by a pretty large margin) These people are so vulnerable, and narcissists can manipulate and abuse them just how they like to. With men it's often physical abuse, with woman it's usually emotional abuse.
So many men feel a bizarre need to rescue women who actually need to rescue themselves. Unless you are a psychiatrist or similar, stay away from people who present as pathetic, broken victims. I think that both peoples unhealthy needs are at work in relationships like this. Find a more real way to be a hero. Acknowledge your own twists and work on them, instead of believing that you must rescue and fix another person.
At 33 years of age he should not be involved with a 19yr olds drama let alone date. Some people love to play the Hero role and Ezra was the perfect victim that needed saving. Hearing him talk about HAVING to break up a domestic violence situation is 🤦🏻♀️ This man loves drama He welcomes drama so easily. Although his intentions are good It’s very unhealthy Thank goodness Ezra didn’t coax him into aiding her murder but it goes to show how is behavior can get him into dangerous situations.
The title is clickbait. He already knew she killed someone before this interview because she had already been charged and was in jail. This is a follow up interview for him as as he’s a witness that has to testify at her trial.
He’s empathic, mature, generous and handsome. Shame he’s had to experience someone like her in his life. I think he seems like a rare human and an absolute catch. She’s just a psychopath
Idk...she was only 22 when sentenced...she'll spend her 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s into her 70s in prison, and there's no guarantee she gets out in her 70s. But on another level, the fact she's alive is unfair. Wisconsin should reinstate the death penalty. I mean even Dahmer was merely sentenced to life, when he should've certainly been executed (but we all know Scarver took care of that)

Ezra doesn't understand herself, her own Identity. She's searching for ways to satisfy her needs, but using random methods and has accepted no good model that guides her. She's lost in preoccupation with herself. She's not thinking about the needs, expectations and rights of others. This dude seems so transparent and honest. It sucks that part of his life was entangled in this vile woman’s web of lies.
Took the words out of my mouth 👍
I don’t think it was just her tho lol. That whole circle is pretty suspect, even the victim was dating her because he was a pedo that liked little boys 😳.
He was 33 she was 19… he fucked around and found out
He’s 33 and talks and acts like a 16 year old.
He just rambles too much. He is enjoying himself in the "spotlight" room.
I've watched a lot of content about this case. I think Jason thought she was fragile and he wanted to protect her, but she ended up being the most brutal person he knew. You just never know.
I’ve experienced that myself
No he definitely knew she was a nut. You can tell by how he’s speaking that he enjoyed judging her about it
He wanted to be a gross hero to look like a saviour but in reality she was a nut he could manipulate & lock down a *Teen* into marrying.
These girls hunt down guys like this
I’ve had a crazy girlfriend like this once.
I'm sorry. But to be fair. Your friends suck too for sleeping with her.
Congrats man, hope the best for you
I hope you ditched those friends who slept with her.
those weren't your friends dude lol. glad you turned shit around for yourself man
I have a friend that dated this kind of crazy.
I really feel for Jason here. He was *played, used, and lied* to by all the most important people in his life.
He was 33, she was 19. He had to have expected (even invited) a spectacularly high level of drama and low level of reason.
He was damn close to being a pedo.
nonsense...he made his choices..this dude has serious issues of his own
Jason should have stayed in his own lane … she was too young for him
Jason’s greed & lust allowed him to be led down this pathway of unfortunate circumstances. He flew too close to the sun.
Always trust your instinct. Jason knew the day of the murder that something was very wrong and he was right.
@claymac7895, sorry but trusting instincts is terrible advice. It is better to think critically, fact check, and learn more about mental illness and personality disorders. Instincts are not reliable sources of truth.
@@JessBlake2both are good advice
Some times you don't have time to accurately evaluate the situation and it's now or never and I wish I would of went with somethings not right here and this person seems shady, but your friends like, he's a good person, so you tell yourself that your just being crazy and then after it's done, you were right about the lying jerk and months later still left with no answers and no explanation of what happened, or were they are and this person lied straight to your face, I told my friend good people don't lie!!!! So he's not a good person!!! 😡💔😭😻😻😻😻😻😻

This dude was/is a true collector of broken souls. He definitely seems to have wanted to fix all of these people - to his own detriment. I hope he’s ok though, but also, that he has learned to keep his empathy safely locked away from those that want to take advantage.
Yeah I felt for him, I had a friend group spiral into drugs and unhealthy habits. It’s hard because often times it’s this huge grey area.

Yep. Codependency will kill you. If you’re always collecting sick people and expecting that your care and understanding will fix them, then getting frustrated that they’re still sick……YOU are sick. Get help. Get healing.
I hope not lol
Lol y’all he’s 33 year old dating 19 year old the dude had his own set of shit too
I honestly feel bad for Woodworth. He was dragged, fed mixed signals and murdered by a woman that was manipulative/evil.
Everyone does
I am absolutely petrified! Fml!! I’m blessed nothing came of it
That’s horrifying
Intuition is a thing, but it can only do so much. Nobody can spot this kind of vile in one meeting IMO. An expert manipulator will always seem more nice first time around than any random socially awkward person. And maybe nothing came about it because of your intuition in the first place.
Where are you generally located? I'm curious bcz I know of Stanley. It's a tiny town. Kinda blows my mind something like this happened there.
U dodged an absolute missile
Bless you!! Heavens, that is terrifying!!
"Now I gotta figure out how it works cause I'm old and do the pot."
😂hahahahahah Thanks for bringing in the levity!
You like this ai voice? I guess it’s better than some. The way the tones change in odd ways still gets to me but they are way better than the ones five plus years ago. Those ones grated liked nails on chalkboard. Like the TikTok voice.

If you look past him being 33 and her being 19 and we don't know when they started hooking up but yeah, awesome guy. Lol
@@zacharymarkham5232
What's wrong with that?
She was over 18, so she is a adult capable of deciding who to have a relationship with. Not to Mention that he was not out to use her, while she was litteraly a manipulative, murdering, lying and cheating sociopath.
This case should really show you how wrong your notion of an age gap and it's Implications can be.
The 33 year old here is one of the VICTIMS of the 19 year old.
@@carlpanzram7081 yep, this is just a low intelligence dolt over the moon he has a decent looking chick(in his mind).
How would you know? This three hour video was posted six hours ago, and your comment was made five hours ago.
@sandgrownun66 I've known about this case for quite awhile.
I'm not even 10 minutes in and the phrase "she a young girl and should not be reading heavy topics" like dude if you think she too young for topic then she too young to be in a relationship with you.
Thank you! He is a Peter File.
@@AidaShawJ.D. legally he isn't an we should not water that word down for probably every other case in the true crime sphere. But I'm not saying he isn't a manipulate man child who think he can control female, two plsyers met and he met his match in some equally as manipulative. I will only feel bad for the family of everyone in this case they didn't deserve any of this.
@@AidaShawJ.D. I guess you don't know what a pedophile is.
@@liebenamor So, you think he's manipulative solely because he was in a relationship with an unusual age gap?
@@sadem1045 if that's what you take away from that I really can't help you. And I don't know if you are defensive over your own situation not the one you're should be upset with but your own lack of introspective.
This poor guy having to sit there and break his head about his relationship and dealings with this girl, someone he's trying to forget. That's tough, man. This makes me glad I'm single because dealing with people and their problems are just the worst.
I know it’s not supposed to be funny, but I laughed when he was so sure she had Mono, but she was pregnant. Love that they are so similar. 😂
I know lol. Shows how bad it can be
Seems like he wouldn’t realize it if she did it no matter what.
Dude is so naive it’s mind blowing. Psychopath’s usually target people just like him.
In what world does killing the man you cheated on your bf with make your bf want to get back together with you?
Ezra doesn't understand herself, her own Identity.
She's searching for ways to satisfy her needs, but using random methods and has accepted no good model that guides her.
She's lost in preoccupation with herself.
She's not thinking about the needs, expectations and rights of others.
So far shows no understanding that other beings deserve to get equal consideration and as such has successfuly selected herself out of the gene pool.
It would be interesting to know about her parents any siblings? Her relationship with family members.
What her upbringing was like.
All that information would help to build a better picture of the circumstances that are more likely to result in tragedy.
With a genetic predisposition and an absence of wise parenting, such end results become more probable.
This guy is just naturaly nice person need more like him be safe 😊👍💪🙏👀💯
These detectives pretending to take notes is hilarious. They put a dot then look up. Then puts 2 more dots then look up again😄
this my fav channel to chill out too
I know the Dr Phil show is a joke, but there were a bunch of episodes about women who falsely accuse people (mostly their dads) of SA & others fake whole pregnancies.
You're right about Phil.
My heart goes out to this man. This is awful. I have had to try and make Sense of stories from a liar and it will drive you nuts.
yes and what 'll really blow your mind is when you figure out A LOT of their lies were told to you for ansolutely NO reason other than to keep you so dissoriented & so unable to know what was true and what was not all around you. My late ex huvvy I discovered so many big whopper les later after he was gone and there was no reason for tem, not to manipulate me into doing anything, or to keep me from knowing something....just NO reason at all. SCARY how crazy these types are and theamount of damage they 'll do to your relationships with everyone you care about by just dropping lies all the time, to you AND to everyone in your life.
One time someone called me from a bathroom and told me my phone number was written on the wall and asked me if I wanted them to scribble it out, I said yes thank you and we had a great laugh 😂
I like how the national guard dude answers questions with “roger that” and “negative” as if yes and no aren’t easier answers, just like the national guard. 🤷🏻♂️😂
I'm trying to figure out why he had scrubs on hand to give to Ezra.? Was he a medic in the NG?
@@sidstovell2177 Yes, he is
Somewhere around 10-min.. when he talks about books & depression.. I'm wondering why I'm watching morbid side of UA-cam while also on a low. 🤔 Why do we do that?
Because misery does indeed love company. I'm right there with you. Hope it gets better for you. It always does, no matter how temporarily.

I remember this case...I think this killer got 50 years and well deserved; she thought her youth and innocent look would get her off...It didnt..Tku Jury
Jason seens so nice, steady and goodlooking too, i hope he ends up with someone really kind and compassionate who really appreciates him.
That guy has GOT to get into therapy and address his low self esteem and codependent nature. I mean...Come ON. Nothing about what he tolerated made any sense. He is going to continue to be a target for malignant narcissists until he addresses what's going on with him.
Right.
This girl was fucking the whole town. Poor dude.
Right, because being wholesome and kind-hearted is a mental health issue. Everyone should be a paranoid schizo who buys more guns than their neighbors because they have more guns. How about those malignant narcissists you mentioned go into therapy instead? Leave that guy alone.
Exactly
Married a literal *TEEN* start there…

I feel so bad for the men in her life, she is scary and i hope the victims (families and people impacted ) can heal from all of this and live a peaceful life
So sorry you went through all this Jason .You never know people very scary .she was very sick I hope she never gets out and Jason i wish you all the very best .
If I took a shot every time he said "like" I would've died 5 mins into this interview.😩
CANNOT stand it. Otherwise, he's very articulate.
no kidding. It's got to be one of the most annoying things ever. But when you hang out with kids, you run the risk of picking up their way of speaking.
@kathleentorres2010 its just a filler word lol. "Um" "It's like" "yeaaaahh (exagerrated)" but I agree they do get annoying after awhile lol but it's probably harder to think when you're sitting in silence as they stare at you getting ready to write it down haha
Born and raised Californian here. When I moved to the Midwest at 21 people would tease me saying “like” so much, 27 yrs later I think I’ve cut it down by about %50 lol.
No seeing the comments on how annoying everyone thinks it is I’ll be even more mindful.
Thank you
@nancyhughes8181 I didn't mean to be offensive. The word "like" is a filler word. When used continually, it robs the quality of the conversation.
I feel so bad for him.He seems like a very good guy .Unfortunately he was easily taken advantaged of.Hope he finds a companion who truly deserves him

I feel bad for bro he seems like a genuinely chill guy
She was playing with the wrong “ right “ guy! He took notes on everything 🤣. Her killing is documented by time with the one she wants 🤣
I feel sorry for Jason, it seems as if he really cared for her but she was so into herself and didn't care about him at all. Even after he found out about her he was still kind to her and encouraged her to move forward and do well. O hope Jason finds a nice, sincere girl who will appreciate him for what he is. 😂
So she's a sociopath and he's, at best, is naive af...at 33 years old.
How many times can the word Like be used in a conversation 😂😂😂
I hear it from UK channels, too.👿
Love your channel, but I wish you'd add subtitles. Not only is it a nice thing to do for people who are hard of hearing or deaf, but the sound in interrogation rooms is awful. I'm five minutes in and I haven't understood a word they've said.
Turn on closed captions it’s the little box with CC above the play/pause bar
UA-cam has automated CCs! Do you realize how long it would take for them to manually sub the 2 -3 hours or longer videos?
I had to use CC.
@@phangirlable I actually am well aware of exactly how long it would take because I worked for 2 years as someone who wrote closed captions. They have 600K subs, they can hire someone to do it. A video of this length would cost about $100-$200 and making your videos more accessible means more views and more money, so that $100-$200 would be covered in day.
I am very well aware that UA-cam has automated closed captioning. If a human with normal hearing has a problem understanding something, how well do you think a computer is going to do? Automated CC on difficult to hear videos is usually comical. A lot of times, it will just say "music" when it can't figure out what they're saying.
@@phangirlable I guess it wasn't that big of a deal because they now caption every video.
For us slightly older people do you notice the word LIKE is said and put into conversations that keep being repeated LIKE in fact it drives me like mad like groan /this world has slid down the dustbin for the English like language etc and no one says like good morning any more like agghhh/
I'm repeating myself here: I listened to two middle-aged well-educated men on another channel (health) one from the US, one from the UK, BOTH used incessant likes throughout a 90 minute interview. Thought I'd go mad but am very interested in the particular subject.
I hope Jason finds the most trustworthy, compatible, fun, sane person to be with. He deserves happiness and love.
The blue jean 50:56 vest tells me this guy has made poor choices before…
I'm 50 minutes in. This guy creeps me out. There is something not right about him.
omg! its the "thanks for the gold, kind stranger! i didn't expect this post to blow up" person from reddit! i love your work.
You dont know how much of a anxiety relief it is as a viewer to not have to watch a liar continually dig a hole. As much as I sympathize; if the bad guy isnt completely bat shit crazy, id rather watch the innocent.
