I had a friend that lived there. Ah, I don't remember his name. However, I do remember his 8 year old boy. He knows every kid by name, except her??!! Thank You cold case detectives!
Just by the way this guy talks about the way he was, and his detailed knowledge of some things, and unable to remember things related to the case is suspicious. He exhibits all of the behaviors of a predictor. I don’t know any single adult male who would go out of his way to “feed” neighborhood kids, unless he wanted to be around them.
I’m an older single guy. I even drive a white work van. Although I don’t hang out with kids much, they are fun to make laugh ect. Had fun raising my boys and later helping with a grandson. When they say, "to tell you the truth..." you can pretty much figure they're lying. I notice he is distancing himself by making a point of calling Kirsten "the kid". He almost caught himself a couple times, a slight hesitation
Hi Jennifer. Yes...pretty much. I thought I was the only one to notice that!! His almost slipping and saying Kirsten! He was defensive off the bat. It’s odd that he brings up “that’s back when I was fishing all the time. Sometimes I’d get home from work, grab some poles and go fishing, sometimes all night.” Makes me wonder if he dumped the body in a lake or something.
I’d say watch out for anyone who wants to “help” your kids. No normal people want to be around kids like that. Normal people naturally don’t believe it’s right to hang out with other people’s kids. I know my kids wouldn’t be allowed around anyone known as “uncle Tony”. You can tell his story is a lie. How could you remember a specific night down to the details of a specific night 17 years ago?
this isn't true, actually. I work at my kids' elementary school during lunch and recess, so I've gotten to know the kids really well. I adore them, in the most appropriate way. We connect through sports and/or activities, and I would absolutely love hanging out with them after school hours. Some people connect with kids, and of course there are those who take advantage and hurt them, but to suggest it's odd or weird for adults to connect to and/or spend time with kids isnt normal...isn't right. I say this with respect, understanding your perspective, but just want to pipe in bc there are MANY adults who influence kids in the best ways. So many of my teachers were mentors of mine, and a big reason is they spent time with me outside of school. MOST of us arent pedos and murderers. It's horrifying when an adult is, but generally speaking most people have honest intentions. ☺
@@azinone9876 I was referring to the neighborhood creep that has kids around for no reason. You have a reason to be there around children being that you have children yourself.
@@azinone9876I think both of you are right. People who have jobs in education aren't completely safe, but at least there are a lot of safeguards set up in schools to prevent bad things from happening. I'm a private music teacher, so I go to people's houses and teach their kids piano. But there are still boundaries of what I should/shouldn't do with these kids. It isn't possible or appropriate for an adult to be friends with children in any circumstance. As a parent myself, I would be VERY CAREFUL who I let hang around my children in this day and age. I don't think everyone is a pedo and murderer. But that doesn't mean everyone shares my values and that any adult can be trusted.
Absolutely. It makes me wonder how anyone still thinks Michael Jackson is innocent. He admitted to sleeping in the same bed with at least six different prepubescent boys every single night for weeks, months, or up to a year straight. Anyone who still buys that “no childhood” nonsense is in denial. The man was a textbook PDF-file.
as much as I agree he deserved it, I was sad for the girls mom.. I wish she would have been able to bury her child. Now that he's gone they'll never find her. Usually after criminals have a lengthy stay in prison they will offer up the location of their victims to get special treatment in the prison. Like they will deal with the DA that they want to be moved from where they are in exchange for the location of the body.
Not the ending I like seeing with these cases, as I wish her remains could have been found, but it’s satisfying as hell to know this bastard finally got caught, had to spend some years in prison, and got brutally murdered himself. It’s almost poetic. I feel so bad for her family and their lack of closure. Maybe one day she will be discovered and able to be finally laid to rest
Poor little girl. It is a good revenge for her and her family that he got murdered in prison. Beaten and strangled to death while locked in a tiny room is appropriate but is still too quick for him though.
Well thats the point. He got away with it for 20 years, that's more than twice that little girls life, and nearly a lifetime for some. Not because he was clever, just because forensics finally caught up, thankfully they saved the evidence
These are great detectives. They had this horrible case in the beginning of their careers and never forgot about it or stopped trying to find out who killed her all these years. Now right before passing the torch and retiring they solved the case
@@misswildlife7905you're right, they aren't just bones. It's a shame that he wouldn't say where she was located to give the family the closure they deserve along with a proper burial ceremony. They might've found the killer but that little girl is still missing.
Notice how he conveniently (without being asked) mentioned that a friend of his use to live in the same house Kristen and her family lived in? He also says "in fact, I helped him build that fence around the house". 🙄 He knows he's sitting in that room because they collected his DNA from the scene, and now they've finally got him. He's already setting up a reason as to why his DNA would be in those places.
I can't even imagine. People like that must be half braindead. Theres times I can't stop thinking about shity things I said to someone in a conversation 15 years ago ffs.
I've watched tons of these interrogation videos, and once in a while, you come across a detective or detectives who you really like, who are really good. And I liked these two a lot! Their delivery and style are like a cross between characters from the movie "Fargo" and the TV show "The Andy Griffith Show." They were so gentle, yet they never let up. They were relentless yet always remained delicate and soothing. If you were a suspect in that room with them, you might be fooled into thinking that they aren't all that smart, maybe a little slow upstairs -- but you would find yourself in for a huge surprise. 👍
I used my blonde hair and thick Southern accent in business for decades. People thought I was pretty enough, but sounded a bit slow, lol. Then I swooped in and landed the kill shot.
@@matthewzablocki5310 Naw, I disagree; it wasn't that they were too gentle; it was that this loser was simply not going to budge, no matter who came at him. When you're presented with the type of evidence he was shown, he comes out looking ridiculous when he makes ludicrous claims that he doesn't know how his DNA got all over the place.
The Gold is when the detectives "put the guard down" this man opened up about details as an outsider looking in, I could make an assumption he was guilty of EVEN more kid touching. Guilty of 1st degree murder at 18 and then he mentions his former wife "died all of a sudden". This man is most likely guilty of WAY more.

An ex-friend of mine's girlfriend at the time, Christy(Christine) Wolfe, was murdered when we were like 15. She was 14? I think and her best friend's dad snuck into her apartment bedroom window and murdered her. Smh. It was messed up. His name is/was James Casey. You can look it up. My best friends mom went missing a few years before that. Her name was Jan Todd. Her body, & the man she went missing with, Jodie Toney, was found like 10 yrs later. They were buried in his truck under a 75 ft tall gravel mound at a local gravel company. A worker found the truck while attempting to move gravel from the mound. 15 yrs later, they still have never arrested anyone for it when it's obvious someone at the company was involved. Look it up also lol. I'm not making any of this up. I also lived with a serial killer for around 3 months back around 2003. He was friends with my roommate at the time and stayed on our couch one summer. No one knew that at the time. Only that he was a person of interest in a case from the 90s where a girl went missing, named Kristy O'Pry. We didn't know this at the time, either. His name is Eric Mickelson. He ended up killing an old man around 2010 and maybe the man's gf. I don't recall exactly. But he admitted to killing Kristy, also. The guy was a weirdo. Always read the Bible and tried quoting scripture and having Bible studies like he just got home from prison. For all I know, he might have. He reminded me of a wannabe conman. Thought he was charismatic and slick but he wasn't. And I was friends with a guy that's in prison for life on armed robbery charges. They also suspect him in a drug-related quadruple homicide and a bunch of other violent home invasions, robberies, and murders. Apparently it all stopped when he went to jail, they said. When the FBI asked me why I was hanging out with someone like that, I said 'I met him thru mutual friends and knew his reputation. So I made sure he was with me and not against me because you don't want an enemy like him. I knew what he was capable of. Or what I had heard anyway. And I wanted no part of that part of him." No, I'm not exaggerating or making it up. The last guys name was Jerrod Johnson. You can look it up too. His name plus quadruple homicide.
I remember thinking they would have had no chance with this guy without DNA. Even when they brought up the DNA his responses were as good as one could possibly have, outside of asking for a lawyer, obviously.
It's interesting how the suspect keeps saying "you know" whenever he's not comfortable with the questions being asked. It shows how nervous he is. I've noticed this in several interrogations. .
Im just so gutted that the little girl was never found and now his fate we will deffo never know :/ so sorry for her family i couldnt think of anything worse !

He said he'd load up his poles and go to Draper, not river. There is a lake there called Draper. I have watched this interrogation several times. He states he was fishing a lot during that time. I have often thought that may be a possible lead as to where to look for the body.
It’s not hard to pass a polygraph tests especially if it’s been a long time since the crime happened ! And at least they found his blood or he would still be free and alive 🤢
I read in the comments that he did get killed in prison. It’s a shame that he was able to live freely for all these years, and never gave up the place he put her little body. SMDH!! Evil Bastard!! 👿
These groomer type murderers are some of the worst ones. With guys like him, the reason they are drawn to children is because they think the kids can't immediately recognize them as the disgusting cowards that they are. RIP Kirsten, be forgotten random pe*o killer.

It's really bothering me that keep using the term Kirsten's panties. She's 8. She's not wearing panties, she was wearing underwear. While by definition they refer to the same thing, semantically panties has a sexual connotation to it.
This is something that happens across a lot of true crime (both referring to women's underwear as well as female children's underwear). It gives me the ick every single time I hear it.
This monster was killed by his cellmate from strangulation and blunt force trauma to the head while in McAlester, OK. As deserving as that may be, it severely decreases the chances for the remains of the precious little girl to ever be found. He was a groundskeeper at the state capitol and I truly believe that is where he placed her, because he may have believed that was the last place that the investigators would ever look. As far as I know, that property hasn't ever been searched or excavated.
I think this bastard used a method of disposal that left no remains, and that’s why he’s so adamant in denying where the body was: in his mind that made him immune to prosecution. And it did for ~20 years after all.
@@Ett.Gammalt.Bergtroll it's possible that he disposed of her body at the river or whatever body of water he was at when he spoke of fishing after work or at night. Locating remains in a river is difficult.

Nobody's "normal."
What a great ending. Love when these people get what’s coming to them.
as much as I agree he deserved it, I was sad for the girls mom..
And that's why they didn't get anything. They were to gentle.

And I wanted no part of that part of him."

What? Panties has no sexual connotations to it. You're confused about something.
How unfortunate the body was never found, but justice was served twice. Once in court & once in the big house
He was never going to say anything, dude. At least he is gone and can't do it again.
@@jeffwads there was that chance, though. I'm surprised he got paired up with someone who had nothing to lose.
I think this bastard used a method of disposal that left no remains, and that’s why he’s so adamant in denying where the body was: in his mind that made him immune to prosecution.
And it did for ~20 years after all.
@Hairy Balling okay, so do you think a prominent attorney could've gotten him an innocent verdict?
@@Ett.Gammalt.Bergtroll it's possible that he disposed of her body at the river or whatever body of water he was at when he spoke of fishing after work or at night. Locating remains in a river is difficult.
21:06 - "About three or four o'clock in the morning [Dog] went to Raisin Hill."
I'm pretty sure the dog didn't go to Raisin Hill. Automatically generated subtitles can be wrong...and funny.
Detective talks about needing a nebulizer for his grandson and how insurance is making it hard and the suspect causually mentions that he has 2 of them that he got for free and doesnt even offer his spare one to the detective for his grandson. Cold as ice.
Good video but I would highly recommend reading through the subtitles before uploading. Many of them are incorrect. Besides that, great video, thanks!
He gave her mother gas money so she could keep looking for her kid, knowing she was dead and he did it. Cold blooded. The devil is real. God Bless ❤.
Many spend their time trying to disprove the whole IDEA of evil, because they are the exact thing we speak of.
