    From your model. Why RNA from the dissolve capsid after the attachment and entering the host cell didn’t attach to host cell ribosome at the first place?

  • @sherryyang5383
    @sherryyang5383 4 роки тому +1

    Thanks for your nice explanation. I have a question here. When we talk about the virus DNA integrating into host cell genome, I may consider the integration sites include intragenic sites and intergenic sites. If the virus DNA integrated into the intron of one host gene, whether this virus DNA be removed through RNA splicing of the host gene or still be transcribed? Suppose the former happens, would the virus DNA fail to express? Suppose the latter, would the virus DNA in an intron affect the normal transcription of the host gene?

    Very interesting and well explained, thank you. So if I understand it correctly (I watched your other videos on viruses too), retroviruses basically perform the Lysogenic cycle, isn´t it? Also another question. I have seen viruses, that can infect various different types of cells. How does that actually work, isn´t the "entering cell" stage working based on the key-lock principle? Or do some viruses have more than 1 key? Can you please explain this or give some follow up video/reading material.

    I'm dumfounded. How did such a thing become such a freeloader? How did it learn this behavior? At what point did it decide that it didn't want a real job anymore and just freeload on cells with jobs?

    • @avestator3763
      @avestator3763 4 роки тому +1

      It didn't, there was once a mother with several child working hard for their money and one smart kid who forced other people to do it's job. Guess what, the dumb kinds all died because they weren't effective enough and the smart kid already duplicated so much it took all money via transferringt its work to other cells.

    What is stopping the transcribed viral RNA from inserting itself back into the DNA at a different location instead of making more retroviruses? It seems like retroviruses should completely take over the host DNA.
    Also, would the insertion of the RNA into the DNA have to be within a coding region with a promoter region in order to succeed?
