Honestly the Mini was so popular because the size is perfect. I took mine with me everywhere. I now have an iPad Pro 12.9 and it’s too big to bring anywhere. I wish Apple would come out with a mini 5 with the internals of a pro. Would be the perfect size and power.
Love the iPad mini series♥️I got the iPad mini 2 for Christmas when I was like 8 or something and loved it. I saved all my money to buy the mini 4, which I’ve had since 2016. They both were definitely perfect to me and I used my iPad mini 4 for school for 2 years. Im surprised the 4 didnt sell better because it really was a good tablet that could get the job done and perform well.
The iPad mini was good for what it was at the time. It came out in 2012, but the first good one came out in 2013 with the iPad mini 2. It was a 64 bit iPad that had the same processor as the iPhone 5s, and had a retina screen, so it’s still supported to this day, up to iOS 12. But with the possible iPhone X plus coming out with a 6.5 inch screen, it seems a little redundant now. I’m still hanging on to my iPad mini 2 for the next year, at least.
The company I work for exclusively uses iPad Minis for our on-site work. We've got 300 of them. They're cheaper than a full-size iPad, lighter, and easier to ship somewhere. I do hope that Apple doesn't discontinue them!
I still owned iPad mini 2 since early 2014. Even though I am not using it anymore, it is still working fine and in good condition. My first ever apple product I have ever purchased!
Well it makes sense since he just reads off the first article he can find without looking it over or anything while putting the first results of the subject matter from Google Image search in the background, Anyone who's seen lots of these from him knows this and knows he often misses MANY facts and gets many wrong, since he's just reading either Wikipedia or the first clickbaity article he can find.
My first ever smart device was an iPad mini original in Christmas 2013. I have so much nostalgia with that thing. I finally had a smart device of my own. In 2016 rumors came around that it wouldn’t get iOS 10, and I got a mini 4. Still use it to this day. I love the thing. It has held up so much over the years, and has minimal lag at worst on 11.2.4. I’m actually pretty good at typing on it as well, as I had to type many essays on it since I didn’t have a computer. I even want to see about trading in my 64GB mini 4 for one with LTE capabilities for use as a phone, since my phone is a hunk of crap.
I‘m incredibly glad they’re still making the Mini. I tried the regular iPad and iPad Air, about two years apart from each other, and ended up returning both of them because I couldn’t find a way to hold them comfortably while lying on my back.
I love my iPad Mini 2 (WiFi only) for home browsing and book/pdf reading. I just to have an iPad 2, but it fell over and broke after years of use. I love that I can easily carry it around the house place it anywhere. It’s basically the size of a medium paperback book.
I had the iPad Mini 2 64GB Wifi for about 2.5 years (my sister got it on release). The form factor was nice, screen was great, but the speakers were pretty bad as was the non-laminated screen. Tapping on the glass created a hollow noise. Overall though, it's done well, but even on iOS 10.3.3, the last version I upgraded to, it was laggy and slow. I've since traded it in to Best Buy for $125 and bought an iPad Pro 10.5" 256GB Wifi back in May 2018. It works for me and is a beauty.
iPad Mini 5 is amazing! And people are going crazy over the 6! Perfect size for travel! Most of the time, most of everything must stay home, except for the iPad Mini 5 and 2 iPhone 10’s. Double battery life! 😉
Been using a borrowed iPad Mini 4 for a month. I thought it'd be slow, but it never lags; it's very snappy and even Asphalt 9 runz without issues and looks great. The size is great for portability and gaming (normal iPads are too big for most thought for smartphone games). It's absolutely a recommendable purchase, at least for most uses. Even music production software runs great on it.
tablets are one of those things where downsizing was necessary for the 10inch models regardless which brand were unbereable for extensive use. but the 7 to 8.5 inch models are to this day a real pleasure
I had the iPad mini 4 128 GB for three years. First unit I had under a year had developed a few dead pixels and was replaced. Second unit served me well but it was showing its age with the most recent iPadOS 14. Traded it in last week for a Best Buy gift card and applied it to an online purchase of a new iPad Pro 11” that will be shipped to my door in a few days. Loved the mini form factor and if they brought out a full screen model with the same physical case dimensions as the current mini 5, I’d buy it.
I own the iPad mini 2 and it hasn’t stopped at iOS 11... it continues to update when new software updates are available and is now running the newest update!
8:23, I've heard this too, that because phones got bigger screens so people didn't care for iPad Mini or 7 inch tablets in general because they use their phones instead. I think thats total b.s. When I worked selling this stuff, it wasn't rare for people to bring in their iPads for cases or repair or questions, going all the way back to the iPad 1. People tend to hold on to them, use them for longer than the phones. They also take a lot better care of them overall than the phone and the use cases are different generally. Personally, i have an iMac 27 inch, an iPhone X & an iPad Mini 4 ( watch and other things also but )... I do different things on all of them. I'll read/browse a site on my iMac, work, game maybe, etc. My iPhone X for the obvious messages, e-mail, navigation, picture taking, quick stuff My iPad Mini ( Use the News App heavily and Book reading for the majority )
iPad mini is a great series! I got myself an mini 1 just a short period of time after it was announced. I don't have a habit of getting the first item of an Apple device series. I started using iPod touch from gen 2, iPad from iPad 2, iPhone from iPhone 6, Apple Watch from series 3, MacBook Pro from MBP2016, and AirPods from gen2. But I got myself the iPad mini 1, due to I was having a problem on my iPad 2 being TOO BIG, and mini was just the right size for me. Still enough display, lighter and smaller, super portable. I used iPad 2 at home and took my mini 1 outside. Now I am using a mini 3 which replaced my mini , iPad 2 and iPad 3, for the reason I didn’t need a big iPad anymore, and later I got a MacBook Pro 2016 as my big display. But there was also a problem on iPad mini’s screen ratio, which was (and still is) uncomfortable to watch 16:9 ratio videos, so recently I bought an Amazon Fire HD 10 2019 as an portable video watching tablet, used alongside my mini 3. I really hope Apple could make a 16:9 iPad, and if so, I will get one. Also if there will another major update on iPad mini 6, I will get one too.
My second Apple product (after iPod touch) was an iPad Mini 1. I was obsessed with that thing and very protective of it, but it was lost after my house was robbed and the person who stole it sold it to some kid. I locked it from my computer and found the kid who bought it for $50 and let him keep it because a family member gifted me a refurbished iPad Mini 2, which is what I still have today. I’ve stopped updating it because it ended up getting slower with the newer updates, but I still use it daily for UA-cam several years later.
The iPad Air 2 did not come out the same year as the mini 4. It came out a year earlier which prompted the criticism about it only having an A8 chip and not an A8X.
what do you do on it. staying away from ipads because they refuse to change the unfriendly 4:3 screen ratio!!!! keep that for the pro ipad and give us a good 16:9 ratio like the androids for watching videos
My own iPad mini 4 has served me well the past three years, including my first two years of college. However, it's beginning to feel oudated even with the iOS 12 update. I'm anticipating what features the iPad 2018 would include and deliver.
I love my iPad mini4, but right now I am having problem with space. Is driving crazy, you explained with the iPhone the problem. I have no idea what’s eating the space. The same amount of photos are in the iPhone
I used to have an iPad mini 2. It was amazing, so if you’re looking for a budget iPad, go buy it! But then, i got an iPad mini 4 for Christmas. If you have a bigger budget, i would recommend that.
Yeah, so i work in Currys PC World here in the UK, and while 70% of customers gravitate towards the cheaper 9.7 Inch 2018 model because off its price I've found that maybe 7% of people like/buy the iPad mini 4 because of its size despite it being dated... I think also because the screen on the mini 4 is laminated to the glass it makes the screen look slightly better. Also great video again dude.
hi i am from the future and the ipad mini 5 is here it has an a12 processor 2 gigs of ram 64 and 256 gigs of storage options and support for apple pencil first generation and logitech crayon

I have an iPad mini 1 but upgraded a year ago. I still use it sometimes and I think UA-cam is dead on it now. It just says it needs to update. I guess it isn't too sad because I have new devices
Brandon Yeo I’m positive it’s still running 8.0. Since I last saw it a month ago. I can’t jailbreak it because I left camp exactly a month ago and I could get into serious trouble if I jailbroke it.
Honestly the Mini was so popular because the size is perfect. I took mine with me everywhere. I now have an iPad Pro 12.9 and it’s too big to bring anywhere. I wish Apple would come out with a mini 5 with the internals of a pro. Would be the perfect size and power.
Tyler Beeson iPad mini Pro or iPad Pro mini
Now we have iPad mini 5 very powerful
Now we have iPad mini 6 very powerful

The iPad mini 4 is great for a tablet literally it’s light, fast, and not as big as the other iPads that are harder to hold in hand
Izuku midorita
I own a mini 4 and of mini. It is so 💨, I used to video edit in it and game. The chip is very powerful.
I have one it’s brilliant
@@dinofriends650 no the chipset is years old but yea it’s held up well for having an A8 chip bc my phone has an A15 bionic chip and it’s a SE 😂
I love the mini series
The display is not big or small it’s perfect
To bad we won’t see mini 5

Steven Manning I have the iPad mini 2 as well and it’s painfully slow
Same
The iPad mini will always hold a dear place in my heart. I love that little guy.
The company I work for exclusively uses iPad Minis for our on-site work. We've got 300 of them. They're cheaper than a full-size iPad, lighter, and easier to ship somewhere. I do hope that Apple doesn't discontinue them!
Watching on iPad mini 2 :)
This took 30 seconds to type because of the lag
ANGLE I am but my iPad mini 2 is still as fast as when I got it in 2015.
What do u mean lag?
Lmao, I feel that. It’s definitely laggy but I’m attached to my Mini 2.
Yeah, my Mini 2 is painful to type on because of all the lag...
Mine no lag
I have an Mini 4 and still love it for media consumption
I still owned iPad mini 2 since early 2014. Even though I am not using it anymore, it is still working fine and in good condition. My first ever apple product I have ever purchased!
3:35 YOU DON’T SAY😃😃😃

William specially when Eddy Cue already said “size matters” 😆
I wish they would refresh it it’s sucks that they may discontinue it
Boy, I have news for you!!
Got my iPad mini 5 years ago, still working today and I'm even watching this video on it
My first ever smart device was an iPad mini original in Christmas 2013. I have so much nostalgia with that thing. I finally had a smart device of my own. DragonTechRoyale4k you are too late. The poll featuring the “history of the iPad Pro” has been released.
Tad Tranclere so what he didn’t make a video on it
DragonTechRoyale4k so he always makes the videos the week after.

2018: iPad mini will get discontinued
2021: i don't think so

Earless Storm - yeah, the mini 2 just keeps going. I might get a 4 one day or a 5 if they create it as long as the WiFi only price is less than $400.
Planning to upgrade?
Zetch brown - yeah. My mini 2 is solid, but I might want a bigger screen for to apps at once.

Ironic that iPad mini 5, with the new bleeding edge A12 processor has come out. "I'm not dead yet..."
“ Come back here….it’s only a flesh wound!”
Writing this on the iPad mini 6 - Your wishes came true!
i have no doubt that this video is as good as the other videos you've uploaded

I love my iPad mini 2. Certainly have to close out apps every few app changes but it’s working just fine and battery life is good.

Watching on my iPad mini 2 and I just updated my iOS to the 9.3.5
I ❤ my ipad mini 2 due to the fact I use it when I am on the go due to the fact I write , especially when I have an idea for my journal book story

L You got it. 😁
I’ve had a iPad mini 4 since 2017 I love it
Watching on a iPad Mini 4 :)

the 4's good, but buy the 5
My second Apple product (after iPod touch) was an iPad Mini 1. I loved the iPad Mini, I got the first gen in 64GB. I prefered the smaller size since it was more portable and perfect for reading Manga.
Lol just buy manga its bettr then reading it for free
The iPad Air 2 did not come out the same year as the mini 4. It came out a year earlier which prompted the criticism about it only having an A8 chip and not an A8X.
Watching this on a mini 2
Me too
I had a ipad mini since it released to November 2021 when I got my new iPad mini 6
I remember having a 1st gen slate black cellular. It’s a good tablet
I have a mini 4 and mini 2, love them both
I had the first iPad mini and it stopped upgrading from iOS so I got a 6th generation and I’m obsessed with it
I have an iPad Mini 1 that's why I'm watching this video. Running iOS 9.3.1 I love it so much! I'm waiting for the iPad Mini 6!
Im using a iPad mini 2 to watch this video and I’ve had it since January 2017
Watching this on iPad mini 5 and loving it :)
what do you do on it. staying away from ipads because they refuse to change the unfriendly 4:3 screen ratio!!!! keep that for the pro ipad and give us a good 16:9 ratio like the androids for watching videos
I am watching on iPad mini 4 and it is updated to iPad mini iPad os 14 .0
iPad mini 4 here
Haven't completed the vid yet,but it's already slaying.....
Watching this with a iPad mini 4
I'm watching this on my iPad mini!
From the future: an iPad mini 5 was awesome but nothing compared to the iPad mini 6...wait for it!
My own iPad mini 4 has served me well the past three years, including my first two years of college. However, it's beginning to feel oudated even with the iOS 12 update. I'm anticipating what features the iPad 2018 would include and deliver.
I had an iPad Mini 4 too, my first iPad after having a ton of Android tablets! Then, I had a 2018, 2020, and now 2021 (6th, 8th, and 9th gen) one.
I love my iPad mini4, but right now I am having problem with space. Is driving crazy, you explained with the iPhone the problem. I have no idea what’s eating the space. The same amount of photos are in the iPhone
Second device I had. Love it. I can even jailbreak it now!
Watching on my ipad mini 5 😎
I used to have an iPad mini 2. It was amazing, so if you’re looking for a budget iPad, go buy it! But then, i got an iPad mini 4 for Christmas. If you have a bigger budget, i would recommend that.
Good thing they brought it back.
Why hasn’t this been updated. I love my iPad mini 5.
Love the first ipad
My first Apple device was an iPad Air and I still own it but I don’t use it anymore since I have a new iPad
And now there is an iPad mini with an A17 Pro processor!! Watching this from my iPad mini 5th generation btw!
This needs an update as I comment from my iPad mini 6 :-P
IT JUST GOT AN UPDATE WITH AN A12 CHIP and it seems nice
If your watching this, the iPadMini5 is now available in 64gb for $399 USD, and 256gb for $549 USD.
I now use iPad mini 1.
hi i am from the future and the ipad mini 5 is here it has an a12 processor 2 gigs of ram 64 and 256 gigs of storage options and support for apple pencil first generation and logitech crayon
Just today Apple released the biggest redesign of the iPad Mini 6 lol
With the Galaxy Note 20U on hand and possibly an upgrade to Z Fold line next, I've completely given up on the thought of owning a small-sized tablet. It just isn't nearly as compelling as 5-10yrs back.
The mini 2 supports iOS 12???
Yep
Johanne Reago okay thanks
Edwin yup
I own an amazon kindle paper white, (the latest version) and I think it works amazing! I just wish that apple would make there own version, like an apple book or iBook
I Love ipad mini. My first is the 2nd gen and fourth gen. Unfortunately apple dont have any plan to update the last mini. 😣
I have an iPad mini 1 but upgraded a year ago. I still use it sometimes and I think UA-cam is dead on it now. It just says it needs to update. I guess it isn't too sad because I have new devices
watching in 2020 and ipad mini 5 is nearly a year old
Now the new iPad mini 5 came out👍
I have the mini 4 and it is awesome
I used to have the original iPad Mini from 2013-15
Yeah, I still have a first gen slate-colored iPad Mini. I really need to get a new one.
Other then the battery puffing, I love my mini.
iPad mini 5 lets go!!!!
Watching on the iPad mini 2 I got on Christmas 2015👋😃
I used to have the 2nd gen but it was water damaged and therefore I had not experienced the full advantage of what the iPM would do.
Today iPad mini is released
Some iPad mini 3s actually ran iOS 8.0. At my camp, there is an iPad mini 3 running that firmware.
Colin Steinberg Like right now? You could jailbreak it
Brandon Yeo I’m positive it’s still running 8.0. Since I last saw it a month ago. I can’t jailbreak it because I left camp exactly a month ago and I could get into serious trouble if I jailbroke it.
I loved the iPad mini so much but I'm about that iPad Pro 10.5 lyfe now
The IPad Mini 5 came out last week!
I always called my iPad Mini 1st generation the "iPad 2 in disguise". It's the last iPad I ever got and I still use it occasionally.
This was informative. Thank-you
Thank you so much Greg for your imfomative video 😀
I am watching this video in my 2018 iPad.
Apple did recently update the Mini. It supports Apple Pencil and has an Apple A12 chip.
