Brandon, even if it was only 1% of white people who owned slaves, you think the rest of white people were against slavery? or were they just not fortunate enough to own black slaves? They all played a part and let's not act like the rest of them cared about the black slaves, the laws and society as a whole justified the enslavement of black people. Of course I'm against hating every white person that's alive today because some actually understand the history and want to help, but let's not act like it was only that 1% that was bad and the others were good. Think about that.
To be fair the same way we grew up in slavery seeing slaves was normalized for them so ofc they would accept it
