Curious CAT Ph Abraham doing this was a test of his trust in God. God is not malicious. There was a purpose behind it, not only for Abraham’s sake but for ours as well. This story is a personification of what God Himself did by having his own son die on the cross for us. You think it was easy to stand back and allow Jesus to be tortured and crucified? Yet it needed to happen so we could be free from Satan’s clutches. Satan’s biggest tool is fear. Our biggest fear is the fear of death. Once Jesus died for us and then rose from the grave he showed us there is life after death waiting for us if we trust in Him. I am totally free and have no fear of death now. Abraham’s experience was a forerunner for what Jesus did on the cross. I hope this helps. Let me know if you want to discuss further.

Excellent presentation of the story. But the ending is not accurate to the original Hebrew text. The correct translation of Genesis 22:18 is "And through your seed shall be blessed all the nations of the world, because you hearkened to My voice." Seed here in the Hebrew is in the plural form. It is not at all suggesting that the world will be blessed through only one of Abraham's descendants. This line may imply Jesus to you, but this was never the intention of the text. This is your subjective interpretation through your Christian lens.

What is the meaning of Abraham’s sacrifice of Isaac after waiting so long for him to be born? Here’s the answer: 1. Abraham by conqueror rights claimed the borders of Israel. The Hittites said he was a great prince among them. 2. The long wait for Isaac to be born indicated the long wait for Jesus to come. 3. God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac to prove his faith, but also to display an acted out event that would occur in future. 4. Abraham was the actor representing God. Isaac was the actor representing Jesus. God said now I know you would sacrifice your son, your only son, just as God would sacrifice his only son, Jesus. Moses wrote this about 1600 years before it happened. 5. When Isaac got up off the altar alive, it pictured the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 6. This play was acted out 3 days away on top of Mt Moriah. Just as Jesus would be resurrected 3 days after his death on Mt Moriah, the place where Jerusalem was built. 7. God told Abimelech that Abraham was a prophet. He foretold the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, Genesis 20:7. The ram caught in the thicket was a young male and wore the crown of thorns, the typology of the Messiah, all the animal sacrifices from that point represented, until the Son of God could come.

So jesus wasn't the actual one who's been sacrificed right? The one who was on the cross was the replacement then why do the Christians say jesus was killed. This sure is confusing apart from God said isaac was Abrahams only son when isaac got a bigger brother

Hmm, sounds like a good plot for a dungeon-crawler indie roguelike involving said son but instead it's the mother who tries to kill him and Isaac actually escapes into a basement filled with terrifying, physical manifestations of Isaac inner psychological struggles and trauma, against both said monsters and his mother Isaac only has his tears to fight back with (or sometimes lasers, or blood laser blasts, or bombs, or knives, or bones.).
@@christalmaxilom Yes the biblical god dog is a narcissistic child, so caught up in his need for devotion that he's willing to traumatise a child - and his father - in pursuit of his vanity. Thank you! I will use this video in Children’s church tomorrow! Thank you for being accurate to the scriptures! ❤
You're actually going to teach CHILDREN, that your parents might KILL AND BURN YOU, because someone ordered them to do so? Are you KIDDING ME?
Using this in Sunday School tomorrow. We are doing a recap or the story and I wanted some great visual aid. Thank you for the accuracy also.

Jesus is the perfect substitute in our place. ❤ God provided us a Savior.
Where is the sense in sacrificing someone's life? Why somebody has to be killed? I dont understand.

What a lovely god. I spect all of the Christian to offer their sons in sacrifice if god Asks for it and be willing to use the knife just as Abraham.
No, it's a shitty god! He said 'Thou shalt not kill.', and is telling Abraham to kill, it's just so stupid! Also is that a lovely god? No
