Been and android user since smart phones were created. I shifted to iphone since it was the only device allowed by the company where I work (outlook and stuffs). Been on a hit and miss with iphone 15 pro's camera. followed your setting and so far I'm quite pleased. I take pictures of my toy collections and I hate iphone's macro. Your settings without the macro is much better. thank you!
I have to say my favorite part of this, and the single reason I subscribed, is that you have an eye for photography so you have great images straight away, and after that you make minor tweaks and adjustments just to bring up the vibrance or tone of each photo rather than heavily drowning out their natural beauty with over aggressive color boosts or filters. Too many "photographers" out there now days produce images that are so heavily edited they just look awful to me. Also, I signed the agreement, thank you for the content.
Liked and Subscribed ❤️ + You deserve my Special Thanks You made me buy the latest iPhone. I was keeping my iPhone XS since it doesn’t have that aggressive sharpening that current models have. Thank You So Much and Do Tell me why iPhone XS is better in taking photos of people and why it beats current models
Having had an iPhone for longer than I care to admit in a public forum, and just having upgraded to the 15ProMax this was exactly what I was looking for. I always knew my phone camera had unrealised potential. Thanks!
Great video! But a small correction at 2:09… We have the Apple ProRes setting on the iPhone 14 Pros as well. We just don’t have the option to record in Log.
This also isn’t entirely true. ProRes was introduced on the 13 pros, but if you had a 128GB model could only be used at 1080p, you needed 256GB or up to do 4K
the gentleman's agreement actually worked on me. you keep popping up in my suggestions and this finally sold me. looking forward to more of your content!
On the 15 pro's you now get 24mp with normal non raw photos, only if you shoot with nightmode in low light or in the evening/night it defaults to 12mp. For most people it's actually better to leave it at the default 24mp if you have the 15 pro / max. It is better at capturing the HDR / dynamic range, so that photos where you have a sky with clouds in the background doesnt get blown out. I read an acticle where one of the guys from apple explained this how the 24mp was better at that, also the file size is much lower. If I want to shoot in raw I put it on JPEG Max, I save my photos as JEPG format since it works better with more programs and in windows, its more compatible. If you have set the format to save as HEIF you will get the option HEIF Max instead in the camera app. So again for most people they shouldnt take all photos in Raw 48mp, the file size is huge. Keep it for special photos where you want the best and the option to edit them after. Or set it to JPEG Max or HEIF Max, then you will still get the same high quality and resoulution as the Raw 48mp, just with a much smaller compact size so you can take a lort more photos without filling up your storage to fast.
Hello, can you explain the differencs between the HEIF Max 48mp and the Pro Raw 48mp? You said, that it will be the same high quality and resolution with the HEIF Max 48mp. But how can it be, when the file is so much smaller and why would be there the option Pro Raw 48mp? Thank you!
@@Red33760 Yes the quality will still be pretty much just as good, even with smaller file size. The pro Raw 48mp is more for people who wants to edit the image in a photo program after, they have more ways to edit when the file is in Raw. The JPEG Max or HEIF Max is good for those who wants the high quality but in a smaller file size.
So should I have night mode on or off? I just enjoy taking pictures with my girlfriend and you mentioned how things in the background will be distorted. I don’t know if i want that or not so is it more convenient with it on or off?
@typxltakedihlikeagoodboy123 It wont be distorted, for night photos leave night mode on and make sure to hold the camera still as you take the photo, wait for it to finish, it will do a spin at the end and then it's done. Also make sure your object or person isnt moving when night mode is in use or else it might get blurred. Same for cars moving and things like fireworks etc. keep it off for that. Or if you take photos of the moon it is also best to have it off most times, unless you want to capture the night sky with stars you should leave it on, for photos of just the stars set it to max and hold it still for about 10 seconds or less, and then use the exposure control and turn it down a bit if the sky needs to be darker, sometimes night mode will make the night sky look as if it was daylight, so use the exposure control and turn it down a bit to compensate for that. Keep an eye on the night mode icon at the top left of the screen, when it's yellow it means it is using night mode, and then look at the number shown in the icon, it tells you how long it takes to take the photo, and that it the time you have to hold the phone as still as possible to avoid any blure. On auto you normally get between 1-3 seconds and If you swipe it over to max it will give up to 10 seconds if it's dark enough, on a tripod you can get 30 seconds from say a dark night sky with stars. On the newer models like iphone 14 and up it might not always activate night mode when you have it on auto, it depends how much light there is around you, if it thinks there is enough light it doesnt always turn yellow the icon will just remain white or not show at all. But if you see the icon you can always swipe it over to max setting to make it turn yellow and give you a few seconds. But first take a photo on auto to see if it looks okay and then adjust with exposure control to make it brighter or darker, or by setting night mode to max. A few secs of night mode will always make it sharper and less grainy.
I’ve been rocking with a DSLR Camera for a while and picked up the iPhone 15 Pro for its photo and video capabilities. I knew about the RAW feature but not about the exposure setting. Imma use your tips and imma start using the Lightroom app since I already own it for my MacBook. Thank you for this amazing video!
Just got my hands on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and couldn't get grips with the camera as it all looked like it wasn't high enough quality. This helped me! Thank you so much! :)
Each photo magically fell into an image that appears to match your style as you worked through them. Thanks for the brief and informative video walkthrough.
I'm just starting out with learning to take high quality pictures and videos. I created a UA-cam channel with my girlfriend about camper traveling, trail and beach walks and experiencing travel in general. This video was incredibly easy for me to follow and understand. Thank You

Hi Oliur. I've been following your journey for quite a few years now but I must say, this is up there with one of my favourite videos you've made. It's so simply explained, how to get the best out of the iphone 15 pro and pro max camera and also how simple you make it look to edit photos within Lightroom. I've been out of touch with photography for a few years now and its been difficult in getting back into the right spirits and mindframe but this has helped a lot, I thank you. I must've missed this video 9 months ago when you uploaded, have seen you're now living the dream in UAE, Take care!
Fantastic video, I really enjoyed learning how you setup up your iPhone camera and the editing process you use. The geometry feature in Lightroom is one I haven’t been using. Great to see it in action. Thank you!!
Thanks a lot Oliur - about to pursue a new side job that involves taking lots, LOTS of interior and exterior shots, and I've thought about investing on an iPhone for this task. Your video really aided me a lot in understanding what this new version can do.
Absolutely amazing video, I am getting an Iphone 15 pro max soon and this video is definately going to help me make the most of the monumental leap in camera quality from my old phone (Huawei p30 lite). Thank you very much for taking the time to produce such a high quality, informative, and straight to the point video. I will most definately keep coming back for relevant future videos.
I’m obsessed with your content. I feel like there’s this stigma in the art/photography community about people who use iPhones as their means of professional photography and it sucks! You and your simple beautiful explanations and such, remind me that it’s perfectly normal and valid! So thank you for encouraging me to get out there and do what I love when perhaps I’m financially unable to purchase cameras and lenses for THOUSANDS of dollars, and to use what I have and be creative!

I went with the 15 Pro Max and absolutely love it! It’s extremely lightweight with the titanium. Great video brotha thx for the helpful camera settings tips 🤙🏽
Finally the video I’ve been looking for. I’ve watched loads of videos about how to set your iPhone up etc. but nothing where it also tells you how to edit your pictures after you’ve taken them. Thank you
One important thing you forgot to mention is when editing photos on your iPhone, is to turn off the screen settings True Tone and Night Mode. When these settings are tuned on, it will not show the correct colors in the photos.
I had an issue with my iPhone's camera (15 pro max - got 5 days ago) blinking after adjusting some settings . At first, I was worried it was a bigger problem, but simply turning the phone off and on again fixed it If you experience this issue, try restarting your phone first before making any drastic changes to settings. It worked for me, and it might help you too
I was wondering that what is the best way to export the picture you edited in Lightroom? Because you explained the editing process but not the delivery and sometimes I see that even the pictures I edit in Lightroom, sometimes it gets some kind of compression. So, what is the best way to export the pics from Lightroom?
I have shot professional RAW photographs over many years, but this video encouraged me to set up my iPhone 12 and download Lightroom and start playing. Really grateful.
The level option has been there since iOS 15, but it was only activated with taking photos looking downwards (a top view). The new iOS 17 level is still much more useful tho.

your voice has a calming sensation. Love the background noise too. Very relaxing and informative video. Are you able to make an updated video of this on the iphone 15/15 plus phones? Many people are comparing the base model to the Pros and it is holding up well. So, it would be helpful to know which settings to keep/change to have the best photography experience
How do you get 5 seconds on the exposure in the upper left, and also the exposure icon next to it? I seem to only see 3 second option (and now icon for the exposure)

just shoot normally with every settings set to auto. that would fo just fine. enable grids
shoot auto mode and use the phones own auto edit on the pictures, maybe bring down exposure when taking photo by -0,5. thats literally it

I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
Your production quality is insane, like this a lot!
Signed Sealed Delivered the Agreement. A big fan all the way from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Trying to up my game before a big family trip and these videos are clutch. Thank you Oliur
Now i feel so much better that i bought the iphone15 pro. This short tutorial is the one that i needed. Thank you so much for sharing this ❤
One word for this video, superb!
We are all gentlemen! I think the best part of it all is that people get to be creative on their own and inevitably you get your own style. And it's your brand and the end of the day. Thanks!
🔥 good information
Awesome photos!!!! I'm still using my iPhone 12 pro, very happy with it but there are some issues like the storage and the camera quality which clearly is a million times better in most recent models... Hope to get one 15 pro max or pro at least when the iPhone 16's launch! thanks for the tips!!!
Is there an easy to use one tap all in one auto tuning and filters photo editing app for iOS and Android devices for beginners.Which app would you recommend.?
2:04 the ProRes is on the 14max pro also, just the encoding thats new
I just got a iPhone 14. Thank you for the settings and I'm gonna buy the presets. I always wanted to make my photos look professional. I like, Subscribe, and commented. Appreciate your Knowledge. It will help on my Travels back to the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Japan through out the year.👍😄
This is the first video I’ve found of yours. Excited to learn more! 😊
Gentlemans agreement it is. Thank you for the Video, very helpful.
Thankyou! I'm new to iphones and couldn't figure out how to use the camera but your video helped trememdously! I had to pause a few times to keep up but that's why I'm able to learn so much by watching videos.
this helped so much, just getting back into the iphone after a ten year hiatus. needless to say i need to learn a lot about my 15 pro max
Love the background sound 🤌
8mths late, but this video was brought to me. Really brought me back to my phone cam enthusiasts day with my first smartphone and the vsco app, lol. (Nowadays i dont do that since i own a pixel and liked their post processing). However I really love the proraw option that gives so much details and thus room for adjustment. Eyeing this model to jumpstart my pic editing hobby again!
gentlemans agreement done, keep up the amazing content bro
Thanks man. You're what I've been looking for. A photographer using an iPhone.
Much appreciated sir! I do have one question: What settings are most effective for photo documenting Bigfoot and UFO sightings? Thanks.
I absolutely loved the ambience music in the backround haha.
I do a lot of ambient noise to relax while working and studying. And I couldn't help but notice the music
How much storage is your iPhone 15 pro? Especially when you shoot in raw by default.
Very helpful video. I came upon it at an appropriate moment. You have such a clear delivery. Liked and subscribed!
I cannot believe the degree iPhone users are thrilled by the level in the viewfinder.
Nice one mate. Picked up the iPhone 15pro today- enjoyed your tips on camera set-up :)
Very useful! Never thought there were so many settings in the camera app.
Great video man, also very relaxing with the music in the background. Learned a lot, and feel...zen in a way LOL. Thank you, great work; keep it up!
thank you! i just bought the i15 pro max yesterday and am clueless. I liked and subscribed
Just got the 15 Pro and this was a really helpful and educational video for me. You definitely got the agreement from me as well. Love the simplicity and vibes of your videos, keep up the good work my man.
lightroom stuff was the cherry on the cake 🍧🥰
Thank you for clearly showing me how to set up my camera. I have an iPhone 15 pro max. When I meet someone and they ask where is my camera equipment and I pull out an iPhone, they don't believe me. Then after I edit in LR it is so very different from what they expected.
Great video but what’s your opinion on the True Tone display setting? Do you have it disable or do you disable it before editing the photos?
I have it disabled permanently.
Just got an iPhone 15 pro and came across this video. You definitely taught me something new today
What is the ethereal background music you are using? Been trying to search for it everywhere!
Which application do you use for edit ?
thank you so much for these tips, do you have presets for group human/animals photos
Hey great video, i was just wondering if you had any videos regarding how to set up angles for car photography
Very helpful- I am looking forward to playing with my new 15 pro🥰 I only wish you talk a little slower or pause between changes so I wouldn’t have to go back 10 times to see where you are- thanks for all the good info 😊
Just did the gentleman's agreement; I didn't even realise I wasn't subscribed yet! Love your videos
Great tutorial just wanted to ask in photo app settings should I choose Optimise or Keep Originals? and if posting say to Instagram will it compress raw images (due to size) to upload to instagram? Thanks 🙏
