The back where you point with your finger,,, is that the tv or dvd player... you could add a caption on your video something like tv out or in dvd player out or in....this way your viewers will right away they know where to plug the cables

Great video tried following along and although I now see the movie playing on my screen it only shows up in black and white even though the DVD movie is in color. Im not sure how to fix it...only wanted to watch Annie after my Firestick wont connect to my new wifi. 😩🥴 Thanks for all your help. Hugs from Philly! Christine

Once you gets it hook up and the television will not let the DVD player work at all what do l do then
Once you have made sure the cable connections are correct and secure, make sure your TV is seeing the DVD input. Look for the "source" or "TV inputs" button on your TV remote. @@tarushinarang651 Ha... last Christmas my son got me a huge DVD set on a WW 2 documentary. That's why I needed a dvd player hooked up. I still do find it useful occasionally. Not everything is available thru streaming.
My tv has 20+ hookups and no markings and have yet to find one that matchs mine so like 300+ color combos and my mah wants to hook it up the tvs from early 2003 the hdmi plugin is the old plasma cable company plug in and it's supposed to run a ps4 through rca and my mah has no tech awareness at all so shitty graphics and slow frames yay and my old tv was bad cause it was small the new tvs a wall mounted one and sits lower then my old one smh and if I explain it to her she won't get it she wants me to have nice things but nice things to her are big clunky heavy tvs my leg and arm are still sore from yesterday and the floors soft in that area and I'll jave to sit with it in my lap cause the plugs are facing down and all I'm thinking is my rooms small why the fuck do I need a huge tv that'll fall and smash a bunch of shit and break instantly when the small tv fell like a nokia cell phone and whats gonna be better about this bigger tv a bigger screen bigger control buttons on top of the tv less room a very unstable tv with no platform to balence it so it's crammed in a corner in my room with one angle yeah how is any of that not better right or am I just fucking crazy but hey mahs got a small tv in the nursery so she can watch shows and stuff while I'm stuck with a fucking cinder block for a tv an oversized paperweight a glorified relic of by gone days of pamala anderson and Buffy the vamipire slayer when you couldn't see shit because of solar glare during any hours of the day and to not get that glare you had to paint your windows black or cover them with weather proof curtains and I got 2 windows in my room both faxing my tv so good by gaming/streaming between 4a.m. to 9p.m. if y'all haven't caught on I now have to spend my day makeing my mother happy by spending all day fecking around with an old ass tv that would be sold for 35 bucks at a pawn shop because the owner bought it for 15 and I have it cause my cunt who's been shuned a nameless las or one's name I hope to never say again she probably stole it from some random person and gave it to us with which my mah gave it to me so now I feel like the fool of a fool of a fool of a fool of a fool of a fowl and it kinda peaves me but hey maybe one of the 300+ combinations are randomly right but fuck me till then. Ive spent a week with no phone or tv because someone took my hdmi cord to a friends house and let them burrow it without asking me and also "lost" my phone charger but hey what are brothers for eh familys nothing but leaches a slow poison coursing through generations and fuck anyone else looking to judge me I gotta fuck around with a 50lb clunker that'll make my little pony look like a 50's L.A. noire movie that a lighter can glare out the whole tv while my mah chills with my 5 pound crystal clear hd tv with banging suround sound and only direct sunlight gives you glare welp it's a hard knock life but better of then others

I have had my DVD player in storage for four years and just got it out and try to connect it to my television with the yellow red and white cables that are connected into one line with the three connections on each end. I am only Getting a black-and-white picture. The sound is fine. I don’t know how to get the color image back. Any suggestions you would share I would really appreciate it! Thank you again.
hi i want to run a dvd player through a old rear projection tv it has no hdmi or any of the modern connections but i have a 5.1 surround sound i wish to play through the dvd player so i only need the picture connection which would be my best option to do ???

How many connector sets are we using I just have (1) set connecting the VCR to the TV which is all I have been using and it worked, but I switched TV's and brought newer TV Proscan from the basement to the living room but I cannot seem to get it set up correctly. You seem to to using many more color connectors like about (4). Thanks for the re-labeling of the connectors so we know which ones can goes where. I still get no signal prompt on my TV screen and I need to connect the combo DVD/VCR player to this TV. HELP PLEASE!
If you are using the Yellow-Red-White set of connectors ( named A/V) or the Red-Blue-Green set (named Component) or even the Round Black connector (named S-Video) you need to press the button on your TV remote (make sure the batteries work) that shows you the video source you have connected to. This button may be called "INPUTS" or "SOURCE." You have to scroll to the name of the source you have connected to and press "enter." Now the TV will see your source video from the combo VCR.

This is exactly how the back of my DVD player looks except I have an HDMI port also. I am trying to figure out a way to have my Roku HDMI stick as the source and run a TV program through the DVD Recorder so I can record it.

I want to hook up a dvd player to a dvd recorder and hook them to my television to copy some vacation videos. Using only the red, white and yellow cables, how would I do that?
Audio and Video OUT from the DVD player. Connect the other end of the cables to Audio and Video IN of the recorder. Then, if your TV has red, white and yellow inputs, you may see the recording image on the TV IF THE DVD RECORDER HAS PASS THROUGH CAPABILITY, and your TV input is selected to the correct VIDEO source. You may not be able to see the show on your TV until after the recording process is complete.
You will lose plenty of quality copying video and audio that way. I assume you don't want to use a computer for this? Better quality copy will be obtained by going via a digital MPEG file transfer and buring a new DVD. Or simply having your DVD's duped at a service. You can also check on UA-cam for "Copying DVD's"

Try a different disc in the player if it will not play. If there is no picture and sound, go over the steps again, one by one, slowly.

Sorry to be so tardy with response. I used a Panasonic machine, not a phillips. And a particular model doesn't matter, since DVD players have the same connections.

Hey, I want to connect speakers through blu-ray because my TV doesn't have any proper audio outputs. So is it possible to connect speakers with player through RCA-aux cable? I want good sound quality, but buying receiver is little too expensive for me. Thanks for answer.
The Blu-Ray can't power speakers, so you would need to get a small, inexpensive amplifier that boosts the signal enough to power speakers. It isn't a stereo receiver, just an amp.
Are you sure that no Blu-ray can't power speakers? Neither couple of years old player which has RCA audio out, woudn't that work?
