MTD Transmission Adjustment

In today's video, I work on a Yardworks 2-stage snow blower that has transmission problems. It goes super slow in full reverse and too fast in the forward gears. Let me show you how to adjust the transmission.

When I make that type adjustment since the rubber is wearing in a new position I clean off the friction disc and lightly sand the surface to take out any wear from the old wheel placement.

Cleaning the drive disc is always recommended when you are already in the transmission area. Lubricating the drive shaft should also be done. Use vice grips at 8.20 to hold the position you want then tighten the bolt ?.

I can see those mtds very inviting the Little Critters considering that transmission boxes 2 big
gaping holes on either side. How long does it really necessary.
