Excellent review. I’ll save my money for v2. You’re right, the top strap buckles need to be detachable so it can be easily converted to fanny pack use or removed while wearing a backpack!! They should also include (or at least sell as an accessory) a proper padded waist belt to convert it into a fanny pack. They show it with the belt from their Skyweight backpack, but it’s enormous, overkill for a fanny pack, AND not available separately (really 5.11??). Also, it would be great if the front pocket had a cell phone camera window like the Vertx SOCP (but better designed then that one). That flimsy stretchy thing seems useless for anything substantial and things would easily fall out if you bend over. It’s almost there and better than a lot of offerings, but misses the mark by too much to make it a compelling product. It’s like they rushed it to market without really thinking it through and testing it.
I'd like a bag like this, but one that either comes with a shoulder strap (for a cross body type bag), or at least can detach the chest rig and have the right connection points for a cross body bag. I want something this size, not the sling bags that seem to be so much bigger. I wish this worked for the cross body bag concept because I like their bags, they are durable and overall well designed, I just have a particular need that I can't seem to find a solution for so far.
With the padding it sits comfortably on your chest and the bigger straps do not dig into your neck. The outer zip pocket is a bit hard to use when it is really stuffed.
I want something like that just for a pistol. Just 1 gun and no straps. I want it to attach to my backpack straps. I want it small and simple. I have a large pouch but it is too much. I only need it for a gun. I have other areas for my phone keys and wallet. I won’t need that stuff quick access.
Thank you for this video. Exactly what I wanted to know about.
Спасибо! Хорошая сумка! Надо брать! )
Good job! Your review was really helpful, thanks!
Thank you! 😀

We just got back from an overnight trip and the pack did great. That big front pocket worked really well and was easy to access.

STUF GP Pouch by Unobtanium Gear
Thanks la for helping me out, I almost bought one but you helped me realize it’s just not for me.
I am going to put qc on the overhead straps
I like it!
😃
One size kinda fit most. I’m 260 n it barely fits
Do you think I can fit a pair of 8 or 10x40 binoculars?
Nice review video. It's a little funny, but it occurs to me that maybe this is a better design for forgetful kids than a crossbody bag.
I have one and I feel like this is terrible as a stand alone but along with a back pack it’s great to carry all the small miscellaneous items.
Very true. It is definitely a purpose built pack.
The 5.11 Pack looks like a real gear lifesaver! Have you tried stuffing it to the max and does it still stay comfortable?
With the padding it sits comfortably on your chest and the bigger straps do not dig into your neck. The outer zip pocket is a bit hard to use when it is really stuffed.
You forgot about the pocket that’s on the very back of the bag, the part that sits on your body
I like it. But it falls short of my needs.
to anyone who owns this pack, how do i remove the original strap? i want to replace with over the shoulder style sling, thanks!!!

Can you add the link to the ccw attachment you use with the extra mag holder?
They came from a “Maxpedition Gear JK-1 Concealed Carry Pouch” which included the attachments.
@@ExploreTrekAdventurethanks dude
Unrelated but what is the black pouch on your right back pack strap?
That is the Hyperlite Mountain Gear Phone Pouch. Safe and easily accessible place to put your phone while hiking.
It would have been a better review if you actually test it out in the field first .
I used it on a few trips this summer and all worked great. The only exception would be with all chest packs they can be hot & sweaty in the summer.
Not good the top straps can't pop off, not practical
Looks horrible on though, like some sort of baby carrier.
Chest bags are definitely not a fashion statement.
