Wow jeez what an insanely satisfying rigged run as Tainted Isaac, Polyphemus, Brimstone, Cricket's Head, Ipecac, Infestation 2, Magic Mushroom, Cricket's Body, Almond Milk, Glitched Crown, Inner Eye, Host Hat, Parasite. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth was great, Afterbirth was cool Afterbirth+ was like, eh, it's okay, and then Repentance came and was like BAM this is the best DLC EVER. The best mods like Q4 Isaac dance and banger songs like Innocence Glitched and Machine in the walls (my personal favorite) BIG C Section Brimstone Tech X fetuses' with ghost pepper synergies have so much potential. Add Soy Milk and Rock Bottom for a free win. Those items would be so OP together. The greatest synergy of all time. First floor is Ultra Hard, boss rush can be hard to get to. Good thing mom's knife didn't show up because that wouldn't have been fun. Even though I would of liked that item. I also like, Death Certificate, Damocles, Crickets Head, Rock bottom, Magic Mushroom and Godhead. Psy Fly, Revelation, Twisted Pair, D6 or Spindown Dice would be a cool synergy to have. Edmund Mcmillen created Super Meat Boy and I think he is a angel room enjoyer. Though Devil rooms can be Isaac Pog too, sometimes its a missed rare opportunity 0.1%. Sometimes when I get C section or Glitched Crown I laugh at my free win. Polyphemus Crickets Body Proptosis soy milk Sacred Heart + Holy Light and +10 Luck from perfection is my favorite combo. Need me some Lavencas Luck. When I get dead eye incubus R key Red key mega mush spirit sword and brimstone with ipecac it feels like a won run especially with monstros lung and tech X. I love playing the lost and tainted lost, and rerolling is always fun. I also love planetarium items. The Binding of Isaac Repentance is a pretty hard game but I enjoy it, I remember How to unlock the Lost, and it sucks because its RNG. Fighting Hush Delirium Mega Satan The Beast and Mother are all fun. I love synergies and bad items. This is 1,000,000% swear on dead gods name that this description isn't only for keywords. Fun fact: Quality 4 items tend to be items that increase your damage multiplier (Cricket's Head, Sacred Heart, etc.) By this logic, Stye and Immaculate Heart should also be Q4
But eve's mascara, judas shadow are not q4
@@seaotter6927 The point is that those Damage multipliers aren't Q4 yet. Eve's Mascara might not be because it gives you a tear multiplier as well as opposed to a normal tears down, and Judas' Shadow requires you to die and become a different character

When is Matt finally gonna remember you can't get two perfections on the same run. This feels like at least the third time he's lost perfection mid-run and thought he was gonna get another one, when perfection can only spawn once
Average lazy mattman moment, has multiple dead gods and insane skill but randomly acts like a fresh 10 hours Isaac player lmao
He talked about this before when he played his character. He said it's because when he does r-key and gets a second perfection that moment sorta comes to mind and he forgets that it was an r-key run.
This is the second time matt has ignored the fact that there were 8 ITEMS and not 4 in the boss rush and its making me really upset. Last time he missed tech x in a corner if i remember correctly
I really like the crooked penny idea. The penny must be used on pedestal items (all items maybe?) for you to take it.
Its a cool idea because it’s a challenge but you can also get really lucky for *epic* scream moments
Or maybe throw in a car batter for 1/4 quad items
Here's an idea for a run. Everybody always talks about UA-camr luck and how much you rig, so how well can you rig without luck? Basically at the start of the run you set your luck to a really low number, like -20 or something, and see how well you can do. I think it'd be cool! Any character you like for it too.
All that would do is make luck ups essentially useless. Anything below 0 luck has no effect.

@@clone2854well, not quite. negative luck will decrease your chance for some luck-based tear effects, but that's about it. the thing is that luck doesn't affect a whole lot, just room clear rewards and some tear effects.
If you get an OP item in the first item room you should first take the boss item. That way it's safe if you find a reverse stars card later. Might hurt the flow of the video though.

Dataminer is specifically designed to be absolutely, horrifically awful as a joke about the disaster that was the Lost ARG in base Rebirth. They'll probably never buff it for that reason.
I've noticed you try to get another perfection after losing the first, but I'm pretty sure you can only get one per run, reruns and r key notwithstanding

Hey Mattman, There's a mod that allows you to blow up the Satan statue in devil deals to do mega Satan but only on the lamb floor. It also cost a heart to get both devil versions of the key pieces. I think it's pretty nice for videos like these to destroy mega Satan while still going devil deals.

*Hot Take* : Data Miner is actually a great item, purely for its Fruit Cake ability. Fruit Cake is arguably one of the best tear modifiers by having a great chance of providing lots of money, runes (most people don't realize this), and black hearts, plus the tear effects are just too powerful. The random stat ups and downs with Data Miner, I wouldn't bother looking, as it really doesn't make much of a difference with how the run feels, especially late game. I am one of the few, if not only, person who actively likes and uses Data Miner to a great effect.
Now one may argue that the screen distortion is what really makes the item unusable, but, barring The Beast fight, for experienced players it is not too hard to adjust and have a good idea of where things are in relation to you -- paying attention to shadows, if there are any, is my tip to know where things are.
I use the item in large rooms and boss fights, purely for the power of its Fruit Cake effect. The End.
I honestly really like watching this kind of run, when you get strong through the power of non-q4 items (ignoring the Cricket's head xd). It has a special kind of feel to it somehow :)

dataminer is usable w/ rock bottom cuz it changes your stats, and some are raised but more are lowered - its like a way worse D8 but you can technically farm some stats out of it if you have rock
that is literally the only scenario in which its a real item, tho tbf its bad on purpose cuz it's meant to attack dataminers so it'll never get buffed

A strat that I don't often see used is that when you get a super good item at the start, you should go get the boss item first then go back and pick it up just incase you get a reverse stars down the line so you don't have to sacrifice the good item
Start with tear detonator, it is so rare yet so OVERPOWERED, it even has synergies with certain items, like tiny planet!
if you want to do that challenge i recmoend usig 9 volt, backpack (for another active item cuz u cant get rid of crooked penny) and a funny thing car battery

I have had the data miner thing work for me before, I placebo’d a tears down pill with schoolbag. It was funny.
You should play IRL crooked penny. If it lands heads you pick up the item, if it lands tails, you dont pick it up

Dataminer isn't the worst item just specific requirements to be really good, it was terrible before repentance. It has a weird integer overflow bug now were your tear rate goes into a negative value and it just sets it to the max of 120, yes 120 tear rate just have to use it a bunch and it will happen...now if you have rock bottom your others stats don't drop completely negating the side effects except the weird visual in the room you use it in, you can't take any tears up because it will reset it to your previous positive number before you hit 120.
Mat gets this shit and I have to cycle every tier one and two item to get stat ups on the chest

Dataminer is "our" punishment for data mining the lost in rebirth and cheating Ed's 500 IQ puzzle. So it won't be buffed because Ed is still salty smh
To my knowledge Data Miner is meant to be terrible to poke fun at data miners for ruining an ARG that would reveal how to unlock The Lost in rebirth.
