Made it today for dinner. Super easy to prepare and absolutely delicious. I'll try to add less black pepper next time cos it was a bit too spicy for my husband. Rip
Hi, can you do a Yang Cho fried rice tutorial, I have eaten it in the past and I love it so much! I appreciated it very much if you can do a tutorial video of it, thank you!!
That tip about mixing the sauce with the noodles! Genius! I always had stuck noodles in my wok, I was taught to add the sauce last and to the edges of the wok but it never worked right. Thanks!
My nieces came over and wanted Udon. After our hike, I was tiered and needed to make something easy and fast. I had some meat in the freezer that I cooked up in lots of garlic when I bought a package that was too big. Because we had most of the other ingredients, I could make something based on this. I had it chopped cooked and served in less than 20 minutes and it was definitely better than takeout. Soaking the noodles is GENIUS! The warmth from the black pepper and extra ginger gave us that happy belly feeling. Thanks so much!
I made these with cabbage in place of other vegetables and they turned out awesome. I was using filet, so I didn’t use baking soda since filet is already very tender and I’m sensitive to the flavor of baking soda. I also added a little sugar to the beef marinade.
You always inspire me. I can't find/afford all the ingredients for any of your recipes, but they give me ideas for what I can find/afford. Thank you so very much. Some days, I forget to say "thank you", and I don't want today to be one of those days. You make my life better, even if I can't duplicate your recipes. You are amazing, and I am grateful for your videos. Hugs and love!
@@haroldseah306 I just wanted her to feel appreciated, and then you turned around and made my day even better. Thank you. I hope someone does the same kindness for you.
Me and my husband cooked this recipe today. It was sooooo good! Even our very picky five-year old liked it! We didn’t have fish sauce and we tossed in some broccoli in the mix, but as the old saying goes: use what you have. Thank you for this recipe!
Every recipe I’ve made of yours has been amazing! My favorite being scrambled egg and tomato! So simple but with just the right ingredients that I wouldn’t have put together myself. Second is your beef and broccoli! Thank you so much!
You are like me when cooking stir-fries for my family, and friends. I can't resist adding that pinch of baking soda. Sometimes I also add a bit of egg white and "velvet" the proteins. I love stir-fried noodles.
@@desertchild17 It breaks down the connective tissues in the proteins and makes it less hard to chew. It's a way Chinese take-outs, and restaurants use to make cheaper cuts of meat more tender. Ever had that silky soft beef at a Chinese place? Baking soda it is.
Great recipe!! Love udon noodles. I have to say again how much I love your wok, Mandy! I have bought several as Christmas gifts and birthday presents. Everyone loves it!
Hello Mandy ! Me and my family live in France and this week, we received the Wok. I tried last evening this recipe and it was a big success ! That reminded us our 3 years living near Guangzhou ! Thank you for your recipes, your smile and your passion ! ZàiJiàn !
I made this tonight and it was delicious!! My husband gave it a 10. It was a little too peppery for my taste, so next time I will add less. Thanks for your recipes and videos! I can't wait to try some more.
Excellent presentation, easy recipe, and now I am drowning in my salivating. Thank you, just what I was looking for, and as an American, I had no problem understanding you at all. Can't wait to try this out!
Mandy you have helped me to improve my fusion cooking game so much and I'd like to personally thank you so much! I've also hit your $thanks button :). this is my husbands fav noodle recipe and he eats very plain. He actually asks when I will make it again and he joins me in prepping and cooking. We love your channel! TY so much for all the amazing recipes. Today I may check better than takeout egg rolls!!!
I find that Udon noodles are great to use in soup due to there thickness. I also have them on hand as they can still be used in so many ways. Enjoy your lunch!
are Udon noodles dry or in refrigerated section? Can't seem to find an answer to this . Looks as if they are pre-cooked in packages and then you re-hydrated them. I am confused!
@@dorispoggi7246 They are moist at Walmart and other grocery stores where I have found them. I buy them dry at the Asian market. They are less expensive dry.
For those who don't like or have access to udon noodles, you can use any kinds, really. There's the dry noodles from Hong Kong that specifically is used for stir fry noodles, and those are the thin ones you see at your typical Chinese restaurants. They steam them first and don't boil it, and then they stir fry in a wok with high heat. If you steam them only and don't boil, they don't have moisture and it's more suitable for stir fry. Those are even better in my opinion because they're specifically made for stir fry.
This Cantonese style uno noodles look so delicious! 😋What a great tip to add baking soda to the meat to break it down fast. Love your step-by-step instruction and presentation! ❤️
Well well, it seems every bit of information you gave me in this video worked out excellently .I was rewarded with an excellent tasting dish. M goi lei.I am subscribed to you as of now.
Becky, I'm a fairly experienced gardener and yet you are already inspiring me, despite that I've only seen your videos for the past week or so. I am totally going to try the carrots among peppers next year, haven't tried that yet. I'd send you some of my saved seeds but I worry that mine are adapted to my dry climate and they might suffer in yours. I might try sending you purple orach, if you're interested.
Hey Mandy, Jade here and it's good to see you it's been awhile that I didn't see any of your videos. I had seen you have made one million subscribers, that's phenomenonal! I see you made stir fry noodles which looks so good and yummy that I would love to make and try it for sure if I have the right ingredients. Great job miss and we are looking forward for the new season! 😉
From the few recipes I made from your excellent high-quality food techniques. the “Stir Fry Beef Udon Noodles” was one of the best. It was delicious, the taste was unique and since I seldom eat beef, it was an excellent way to prepare it. Thank you very much for sharing your abilities to prepare enjoyable meal.
I like how you make it seem simple to incorporate vegetables to the meals. I wanna learn how to add more veggies in my plate and i feel like this will be a good start
Hi Mandy - love your channel. I would love to see you make more fusion recipes. Always looking for sauces in particular that you can’t get anywhere else.
I cooked this yesterday and I have to say that it was very tasty. The marinated beef surprised me, both in terms of taste and tenderness. I can definitely recommend the recipe
I made this last night and it was wonderful! It was a bit too much pepper, so next time I'll use 1/2 tbsp and it should be perfect for me! Thanks for the video!

I have a question. I bought some Hokkien noodles and they have some yellow coloring. Does that mean the noodles are bad?
@@DeborahHMarks that's bc the baking soda added into the flour. So don't worry of it.
Why do asians smack their lips and eat with their mouths open? I’m genuinely curious.

use spaghetti as a substitute for udon noodles
