Hey Becca! Can I blow your mind with an image trace tip? Click the "Advanced" drop down and click "Ignore White." You won't need to deselect the white parts anymore. The outcome is black on a transparent background.
If you use Adobe Capture directly on your phone, the selection process for the vectors can be done at the same time that you are taking the picture, and then you already have the individual words as part of your library. You can have the ampersands, and's and other things you use constantly done just once ;)
I use Adobe capture too. It's really good and simple to use
3 is my fav - love the video, super useful, I've been digitizing for a while but had no clue about the smoother tool... So you can imagine how much time I've spent manually editing each anchor point... sooooo helpful! thank you!
You are amazing, Becca! Thank you so much for this tutorial! You have completely simplified a process that I was so intimidated by!
thanks for the video, very helpful! 1 is my favorite.🥰
I love #4! I'm hoping to get into digitizing my lettering soon. This helped to inspire me to hurry! Thanks, Becca!
#2 & #4 are my favorites. Thank you for putting such helpful content out here for us!! Love your videos
Great tutorial! Tried it out and it works great. As someone who is studying graphic design I was familiar with image trace to clean up artwork but for some reason I never paired it with Expand to create a vector image. I also briefly heard of the smooth tool but never saw it in use until today. This will make things so much easier for me. Thank you!!!
W.O.W. My eyes have been opened to a whole new world! There have been many times I've wanted something like this but didn't know where to start, thanks Becca!
#1 is my Favorite!!! Beautiful.
And thanks for the tip Becca!
I've been wanting to learn how to do this! Thank you so much for sharing! And #3 is my favorite.
No 4 preference, thank you, learned Adobe Illustrator in college, however, have not used it much, now i want to ho back and reacquaint myself with it again, so thanks for the reminder of how powerful Adobe Illustrator can be, because i want to create my company’s logo. Hello from Melbourne , Oz land.. Thank you for this info video! As someone who shies away from digitizing stuff this has intrigued me to try it. And I like the 4th option!

I don't have Illustrator but I do use Photoshop. I'm pretty sure it would work!! This will be great to great templates for the cards I make (Happy Birthday, Thank you!) so I can simply transfer my designs instead of spending tons of time to do layout and spacing each time!! Thank you! Thank You!!
So cool!
1 & 4 👌🏻
It would be so cool to see a vlog of a project from start to finish just to get an idea of how the whole process goes. From choosing to do the project for a client to planning ideas, to starting the job and then finalizing it…
I’m wondering now if that would be complicated 😅
That was very interesting. I like #4 the best
Ooh wow, interesting new video! 😊😊😊

According to me ....4 is the best ....I love the way the "And " has been presented and it kinda balances both the names ...😁
Could you show the printing part? How would you print say on a big billboard?
I like #4. It gives me a vintage vibe with the "and" lettered like that.

Hi Becca, when I ungroup I still can't move and resize each word? Any suggestions?
Can I do this on Canva as well
Man I wish I wrote that smoothly with that marker . I always snag/skip on the top turns
How we can do the same thing on Android??
Loved the idea but don't have the options on Android😐
Inkscape works on PC though I don't think there's an Android mobile app version
You can email the picture to yourself.
Hi, Please can someone help! I have downloaded Adobe Illustrator. I have scanned a hand written note into my laptop (Windows) , and converted this to a SVG file. I have then tried to open this on BROTHER PE Design PLUS 2 software, however when i am trying to open the file it says 'unexpected file format' and i can not continue. I am trying to digitalise text to embroider on to items.
Thanks in advance.
