  • Where to Catch Conger and Bullhuss on the Llyn Peninsula
O.K So big disclaimer here- These marks can be lethal especially with the change in Conditions and things like wet Grass and big Swells coming across the Irish Sea. Although this is some of the worlds most magnificent coastline please do not fish these Sea fishing marks unless you are fit and Healthy and well prepared. I don’t really want this to sound like a public information broadcast but to those not used to fishing these sort of venues it can be a shock to the system.
There are some things I’ve done in the past that help.
    1. Check the mark out before you fish looking for safe routes down the cliffs for example.
    2. Get a life jacket
    3. Don’t fish alone
    4. Weather forecasts
    5. Proper footwear
    6. No Children (except maybe Porth Ysgaden)
    7. Tell someone where you are going and when you return
    8. Travel Light
Its also worth mentioning that Conger are habitual and are a species worthy of protection and the Huss come to Lay their eggs on the kelp during the Spring so are also considered off limits during this time.Catch and release circle and barbless hooks recommended to aid their recovery.

Im going to Aberdaron soon and have recently bought a SIB that im hoping to get out fishing around this coastline.
Having not been around this area in a boat. Do you have any advice? Apart from being careful of course.
Do you think we'll be ok in a 3.5m SIB around them rock marks?
    Appreciate any advice.
    Cheers.

No I wouldn’t advise it. some of those rock marks have some of the strongest currents you will ever experience.Bardsey sound a casing example. As always with these things befriend a local expert. There will be bays where you could safely fish but very much weather and tide dependent. Sailing clubs , local fishermen are your friend here.

Another great video thanks for sharing, i will certainly be using one of your video as guide when we go to abersoch next weekend, i wonder if the mackerels are still in after the cold weather we had recently, trying to figure out that which rocky mark is good for us to fish in or around Abersoch, do some spinning for mackerel, pollock and maybe bass ? where would you recommend please ? There will be 3 of us and im the only one who has a little bit more experience in spinning and other 2 just a beginners, never done spinning before! Arriving on the 28th of sep and will be there till monday hopefully get few hours of fishing weather permitting. We all have beach and spinning gear so will try beach and rocks for spinning. Many thanks for sharing the videos with us and tight lines.

Porth Iago is a very good spot for spinning on the north of the peninsula about 12 miles from Abersoch. Easy access through farm honesty box parking, minimal walk best fishing to the right of the cove. Beautiful spot

Are you absolutely sure you can "just walk down there" to the ledges mentioned at 4:32? only when I overlooked those exact ledges they were at the bottom of cliffs.
