My manager graciously has set aside time every other Friday for me to improve on public speaking and has me leading these monthly 30 minute session for other departments to learn more about how my department can help them. It has been the idea if public speaking a little less nerve-wracking
I love the idea of creating a private page to practice and study yourself before putting content out for others to see! I was a theater kid and found that to be very formative for me as well! Excited for the public speaking journey.
This was rich...soooo rich. You said so many points differently... Thank you sooooo much. So so much. I started my podcast called Everything Not Perfect Podcast and i am in my 20s . i am still constantly learning and your video popped in right on time. For me when I started my public speaking journey *I had to talk to me self a lotttttttttt about anything concerning myself or my day with the aim to be fluent or constructive and more, I will focus on different things at a time. I saw that it helped me get out of my head n made me comfortable speaking out loud. * I felt cringe when I started recording myself in my phone, it helped over time , some days I will video... *Over time ofc I fell in love with podcast n started to learn more tricks 😂 * With the need to start my own podcast, it boasted my intentions for building my public speaking skills more... *Preparations is something I related to that u mentioned *I also relate to impromptu conversations with friends, I saw that it helped massively, cuz I had to interact without thinking too much about it *I love what you said about taking into consideration the way people deliver , it's something that'll set off to do, I applied the tip whiles watching you speak after u said it too, you sound so poised and your transitions were smooth , I feel blessed to have heard such tip today. * I feel like your approach about this topic was necessary I received more than u can imagine. I want to keep this post short😂 Thank you Ma🎉.... You're a Media Mentor to me. I came across your video this year and I can say, it has influenced me a lot ❤.
Great episode Les! this is on time for me and resonated with me for sure!! Carrying this message with me as I am in a new job & I will be facilitating meetings at work ☺️ “ If you desire to be a better public speaker that has been placed on your heart for a reason. You have a message to deliver, don’t ignore it LEAN INTO IT! ❤
Great topic! I’m taking a group fitness teacher training class and it’s been placed on my heart for a reason. I can’t ignore it. I’ve taught the mock class to the owner twice and it was cringe 😅Practice practice practice! I’m 55 soon to be 56 and it’s not too late for me. This podcast hit the mark! Thank you ❤
This just takes me back elematary school when we had to stand up in talk in front of the whole class lol 😂 I hated it so bad lmaoo im growan ass shit and I still dont like speaking in front of people
Just signed up for Toastmasters within my organization and looking forward to the growth it brings to my communication skills! Thank you for this episode I appreciate your content
This is super helpful as someone who is also responsible for communicating with “higher ups”, which can be super intimidating. I think the mindset shift of “why am I responsible for doing this?” To “why not me?” Is very helpful. And obviously practicing more public speaking helps, too.

That's wonderful! Being able to practice in a dedicated space is so helpful

I’m about to embark on a new career where I have to be public speaking a lot. This came right on time!

As an astrologer, you hooked me around the 4-minute mark. ❤
@@LkeaFeather so glad!
I need this
I was a quiet kid as well
It would be great to have video with birth chart topics.
We've done a few astrology episodes! Most recent one was last December, we talked about the birth chart with an astrologer
