Les, I got my notepad ready for this episode. I literally made a decision 3 days ago that I want to move to Dallas, TX. Also.. will be 41 in a few days. Time to make this happen!!
As a person who moved out of my hometown to a new city at 29, and now 4 years later getting the feeling again that it may be time for me to move on to a new environment- this episode is GOLD. So many thought invoking gems dropped. This is the first video of yours that I have seen - SUBSCRIBED immediately 👏
I just turned 30 in January and I'm starting over like in my 20s I thought I knew myself but clearly I was a kid lol 😂 but I want to become a more goal oriented person, and I'm tried of Procrastination
This was so helpful! I’m about to turn 30 and thinking of moving back home from a big city and not considering myself as a failure because I’m moving back home. This is the boost I needed to see what I really want and need to me
Yes autonomy is super important to me for work. I’ll take that over a micromanaging boss any day. Pay still has to be good but freedom is so valuable in work.
@@PNAMIRACLES same. but now it feels like im waiting for the first day of school. its a chance at a new beginning with all the wisdom learned in your 20s..
I am so excited and thankful to get into this one...just wanted to say at the top of the episode tho, something I LOVE about your approach is that even though you're clearly super intelligent and wise, you don't share your experiences/lessons in a way to stroke your ego or glorify yourself - you remain empowering to others by acknowledging that everyone is on a unique path and must find these truths for themselves, and will have their own ways/lessons/answers best for them. I see a really genuine integrity in your work, and can see that you are super integrated and not just jumping on hot buzz words or giving meme guru energy - which can have a seeking validation/importance charge to it sometimes - which you DO NOT have. You come off very grounded. Lots of admiration from me for the PURNESS to your work and msg.
This is my very first episode and I can’t tell you just how impactful this was to me! I also was listening on my first time back to exercising again! What great alignment! ❤
Congratulations on 6 years 🥳 I’ve been a supporter of Balanced Black Girl for years; I’m glad that you’re taking on more solo episodes, they were always my favorite! I haven’t finished the video but this has been on my mind so I’m excited to see what this episode brings!
I needed to hear this. I have been wanting to move to DC but the jump has controlled me and that's why I am in PA still. I having finally decided to move to Baltimore to at least get out of this space. I have a job where I am in office minimally but will sacrifice and take the 1.75 hour drive to be able to move so I can find my forever place. I also turn 30 in September :)
My biggest hurdles is keeping momentum , self sabotaging thinking patterns . Almost like survivors guilt. Why am I so different than everyone around me. Who do I think I am ? lol
