Thank you for such a clear explanation with just the right amount of detail, and also for having an enjoyable voice to listen to. Could be titled "Installing Back-up Disk without Fear"!
Extremely useful !! Thank you. And very clear. I like how you take your time to be understood at once, without the need to listen again. Wish you excellent 2024 year .
I love that wallpaper for the Time Machine segment. Where did you find it? I want to have it for my PC. Your presentation is excellent. I am less familiar with Macs, and this helped a great deal in setting up my wife's Mac backup. Thank you!
For those who dont see the APFS option at the beginning. I erased my SSD extreme 1TB to the "MACOS EXTENDED". format and then erased it again which opened the "APFS" option to me. Now my SSD is APFS formated and it finally works. Originaly it didn't work and it completely failed me and locked up for my mac but would work on my windows computer. I tried the WD security apps and software but nothing was working. anyways cheers this worked on my Mac Studio M1 ULTRA with the SanDisk SSD extreme 1TB.
How does it know from where to backup from?? I use the Macintosh (built in) drive for my applications, but an external drive for the data. I only want to back up the data. Can I select a drive to be excluded?? In my finder the Machintosh drive does not show up, how do I select it to be excluded?? Thanks for a very informative video, I have often considered the Time Machine, but never knew how to. One other question, if I select the limit to back up, can I use the rest of the drive as normal?? Thanking you in advance.
Sorry but I'm lost in one detail. I don't want my computer to back up my external disk. All I want is to save my high Gb photos on the external disk so I don't use up space in my computer's disc. What do I do?
Could you please explain for me, what is the Backup mean? I have tried download all pictures from ICloud to wireless San Disk flash drive, but instead of that, all pictures came to my all divises from ICloud.
A thousand times thank you for your clear and thorough tutorial. You saved me from an afternoon of extreme frustration.

Good job. Thanks for your time.

Same

Base on the newer OS 14, seems that exfat would be useless if you want to use another windows computer too. Cause Apple want you to use APFS
That's not true. I have an HDD (ex-FAT) that I use on both Windows 11 and Mac M3.
Could you please explain for me, what is the Backup mean? I have tried download all pictures from ICloud to wireless San Disk flash drive, but instead of that, all pictures came to my all divises from ICloud.
Thanks dude!
