Video editing is so much more time consuming that people realize if they have never done it. I like that you put the edit time on the video.
Thank you (and yes, so true!)
@@ShannonMakesplz leave words up longer, I had to rewind 5Xs & slow the speed down to see what it said 🥴🤓
Me too, I knew it took a long time but actual numbers are so informative
Guess what, Shannon, I live in Fife, Scotland, and during a renovation I uncovered the EXACT same floral wallpaper, definitely pre-1910!
Wow! That is amazing! Interesting that you’re in Scotland and Shannon is in Nova Scotia! I love that.
Most likely that was the only selection available worldwide in 1910/20! OR someone moved from Scotland and brought it from their homeland when they moved to Nova Scotia. Either way, you’re both eerily home decor related. LOL
Hey, another Scot here! Sadly my house was built in the 60's, I'd LOVE a Victorian or Edwardian (or even Georgian but I've got no chance lol)
That's absolutely AMAZING!! Do you have any photos of yours? If so, would you mind sending them to me, either on Instagram or in email? I'd LOVE to see that!!!!
@willizaback9800 I mean, it IS called NOVA SCOTIA after all, not that unimaginable that they had similar tastes or even brought wallpaper with them, although that's kinda wild to think about, right?! Someone hauling their fav. wallpaper with them across oceans!!
Re: the pest in 1:53 I heard it's a Welsh Bed Snuggler. They're very cute which is their weapon, the biggest danger of having them is not getting any work done because of the boopmagnet and the fluffybutt. I don't have them in my place, but I have a positive invasion of Triangle Eared Shelf Climbers (I've seen four, but who knows, maybe there's more). you could probably get rid of yours but the alternatives are much worse, when there's no Snugglers or Climbers in the house it's easier to get the Glooms and the Pointless Boredom. So I think it's more about managing the current infestation! (Canelle
🐶🐶🥰🐈🐈
This is the most adorable post I've ever read! Thanks for brightening my day! (I've got a Triangle Eared Shelf Climber somewhere in my apartment too. There have been sightings.
I have a trio of long eared chord/carpet munchers at home, they've gotten a bit lazy in their old age, but much like the Welsh Bed Snuggler their boopmagnets and fluffybutts are very good at distracting one work, as well as serving as a distraction from their crimes against chords and carpets. Enjoy your Welsh Bed Snuggler and Triangle Eared Shelf Climbers!
What on earth are you talking about??????
@@Catsface99 LOL They are talking about dogs and cats in a sarcastic but affectionate way!
Hey Shannon, just to let you know that there's lots of people like me who think you are awesome. Your hard work is admirable.
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Take the uprights for your scaffold and paint every 5th or 10th hole a different color. It makes counting super easy.
Genius, will be doing for sure!!!
I was in my local thrift shop in Melbourne Australia and saw the identical flower quilt cover. Could not believe my eyes.
Nice!
OMG! You should have bought it!
I have that duvet cover, it's from Ikea! I got it about 7 years ago 😊
Hi Shannon, there’s a talented young woman in Nova Scotia with a furniture refinishing business called Transcend Furniture, who demonstrates her work on a UA-cam channel of the same name. If she’s close enough to you she might be a great resource for a piece you might need, or to have her refinish one of the pieces you found in your house. By the way, I love the final result of all your work. You’ve made a hygge retreat for you and your sweetheart!
Transcend Furniture is amazing. I highly recommend checking her out. I love watching her videos. You can learn a lot about refinishing furniture from her.
I love Angie's work @Transcend Furniture. Watch her utube channel for additional hints on restoration. Love your work too!😊😊😊
I've lived in my house for about 4 months and while I still don't have my furniture out of storage, I have started trying to make this house into MY home. I painted the inside of the front door. Not much of an accomplishment, but it makes it more me. Seeing you transforming your house into a home is very inspiring to me! And coming on Fridays, they get me ready for my weekends of home improvements! Thank you!
You're very welcome... you got this!
Why don't you have your furniture in your house? Are you working on your home?
@@Catsface99 I was living with my daughter and her family for 4-1/2 years so didn't have room for it. And with one thing and another, I haven't had time or help to move it. I moved about 100 miles away from where I was living. And I don't want to spend the kind of money it will take to hire movers. So I'm living a minimalist life right now.
What's going to be so nice is having a clean relaxing room to sleep in after a long day of renovations. Great job!!
Thank you 🥰
Omg. You work so hard. Just a hint from an old painter , use a broom handle for your roller , it’s free and works well. And to wash walls a rectangle mop works well. I’ve done my share through the years as well slowly finished our home.
And as my sister -in-law says , I love to paint. lol
the broom handle for the extender trick is such a great one for painting on a budget!
I use a Swiffer mop with wet pads to wash walls. Works well. However you still need to get the edges between the wall and the ceiling by hand.
MY husband's a retired professional painter in LA and he says NEVER paint without a pole. The leverage makes it easier on one's hands and arms. And yes to the mop-- he likes a sponge mop and tsb. And none of those painting trays (they drive him crazy-er)-- for paint set up use a bucket with a rack in it.
The corgi is the best design accessory!
most definitely!
😂
I think your thrifted bedding is perfect. Excellent color coordination. Sleep well in your clean, colorful room. Well done!
Thank you 🥰
Cutest moment: The dog saying "about time" 😁😁🥰
😂😂😂
@@ShannonMakes I love these little moments in your videos. They add a lot of charme and just make the difference :))
Nicely done Shannon! I feel your pain with the rug under the bed situation. We have a "hidden" storage bed that has zero clearance underneath it, and I did not want to pay $$$ for a full size rug that was going to be hidden (and make it difficult to access the stuff stored under the bed), so we got runner rugs and surrounded the bed with them. The look is the same, but the cost is a lot less.
We had only ever lived in new builds for the first 12 years. Then we bought a 75 year old house and we were disgusted by how black the water was the first time we sugar washed a wall to paint it 🤮. To add perspective we had to get a plumber in to dismantle the shower trap and he said for the first time in decades he gagged. He thought he was over that after being a plumber for so long 😂
hahah WOW, now that's some dirty water!! Poor plumber 🪠🚿🧑🔧
Watch out for sugar ants....I read that if you sugar wash your walls, it is common for sugar ants to invade your home.
@@Catsface99 sugar soap doesn’t actually contain sugar. It’s a detergent.
I’m a designer and honestly you are doing great using what you got to make the space cozy a bigger rug will come along so using what you got is perfectly fine.
I do love the green accent wall being the slanted one and having the green go on to the ceiling it really works with the space.
Thank you 😊 💙💜💚♥️
FYI - DAP doesn’t have to be sanded. Once it’s dry you can just wipe over it with a damp cloth to smooth it down and then let it dry again before priming and painting. I only sand it when I need to get a crisp corner or knife edge on a piece of trim or something. Why deal with all that dust if you don’t have to! My continued best wishes to you (and Phil) as you continue this gargantuan project! ❤
this!! ^^^ I like to use a piece of thick felt instead of cloth: it holds just the right amount of moisture, stays relatively flat on the wall while wiping, and is just a little more abrasive than cloth
clever tips, both of you
I'm no wallpaper expert, but I can say that your wallpaper is an almost exact match to one of the layers in my 1890 house. I found a section of the original paper when I took down a wall that had been added.
The bedroom is beautiful btw. I'm sure you will be even happier with it when you come back after being away. 😊
Thank you!! 🥰 Would love to see photos of your own 1890s wallpaper, if you have them and want to send them on Instagram or email!
99% invisible is my go to podcast.
A comfortable place to sleep, a working bathroom including shower, heck you're gonna be civilized in no time, holding hi tea in the parlor! (Humor) I like the colors in the bedroom feels homey.
lololol yea, I'm halfway to civilized!! 🥳🫖
Hi Shannon!
Caty here, big fan from the states !(California)
I wanted to say how great it was to see your stylish, while eminently practical and realistic solution to the bedroom floor. It’s soooo encouraging to see an imperfect and evolving room-state, especially when it looks so charming. 🤗🤗🤗
Thank you for all that you do. 🦇🦇🦇
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it 🥳
If you can thrift some additional, coordinating fabric, you can lengthen the curtains. Just add the coordinating band to the bottom, top or anywhere in-between!
I really enjoy The History Chicks podcast! They do so much research on their subjects, really bringing them to life!
OMG YES!! I forgot about them! I had a short phase of listening to them about... 3 years ago. Thank you for the reminder!
I'm addicted to The Rest is History. Particularly enjoyed the episodes about Cortez and the Aztecs. Good luck with the renos!
For dirty walls, especially nicotine stained walls, I have used Wet and Forget Shower cleaner. It was useless in my shower but it was absolute magic on cleaning walls. Bonus - I thought that it smelled great. I bought it at a hardware store called Menards in the US.
I stand by my TSP... love it and have also had great results (at least on walls pre-paint)
I used TSP and it worked great. It really cleans well and our fire department recommends it. 👍looking good Shannon, stay strong ❤
A nice clean room is totally worth the effort. Well done.
Thank you 🥰
Did I procrastinate somethign I was supposed to do to watch this video? abslolutely, why are you even asking! I have no regrets tho, and the final result looks so cozy and whimsicals, I adore this room. Good luck with the rest of your renovation adventures
Bahahah, that's hilarious! Thank you so much 😀
I love how the room turned out! It’s one of those rooms that will grow organically as you use it.
I’m so glad I finally got time to catch up with the house story! Those old books look gorgeous, and that copy of the Man in the Iron Mask is definitely a keeper!
With limited time and a budget, I find your room cozy, inviting and looks comfortable. All that you need after a long day or time away from home.
Thank you!
You have done a wonderful job on the bedroom 👏 The hard work paid off! Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
You're very welcome!!
Those books, the ones that are less sound and can't be rehomed, would be amazing for art journaling!
This week on our 100 year old Queenslander house Reno. We started knocking down walls in the living room. We bagged and boxed tonnes of rubbish under the house. Cleaned out a small room where we will turn into a study. Painted the walls in study and put brackets up for a desk and shelf above it. I committed defenestration by hoisting broken wall sheeting out the window. Found a rat or mouse house between the studs, and an ants nest. My right hand is swollen and I can’t even hold a mug of tea. #Reno such fun #tape measure, what’s that. Next week on this old house , rent skip/dumpster and knock more walls down. #2 old people doing a renovation on a budget
I love seeing your hair change bit by bit through the cleaning days as you've re-adjusted throughout the day.
Sidenote your editing is excellent.
Awwwww! You would never, ever want to get rid of that pest ( loved one!!) on the bed. They are so special! Ours is a pug mix and so spoiled (well loved)! Enjoy all your posts. You do a fantastic job. Have a great day, from Indiana, USA.
Thank you! 🐶🥰
We just acquired a pest. She's only 3 months old. So cute and smart; and to think I wanted a Corgie and got a hound mix.
Hi Shannon!
One of the other channels I subscribe to does dumpster diving: "breafkast" (not breakfast). Anyhow they live in a college town and at the end of the school season hit the large dumpsters the schools bring in. There are always a ton of large rugs!!! If there is a college in your area you should check it out next spring. There is so much tossed besides just rugs, you would be amazed!!
What I love about this video and a lot of yours in general is that life isn't perfect and instagram ready. Budgets are really a thing and time crunches are a thing. Renovating and painting takes time and it takes time to do it really well. Given everything you were up against with your first two weeks getting a clean and fresh space to sleep in is soo soo important. Thank you for sharing that the journey is usually the whole point! And those books I can see being used down the track and appreciated for what they are!
Yes, thank you!! Not everyone commenting has the broader scale view in mind, regarding time constraints and budget limitations 🤣 Yes, it'd be great to fix the floors. Yes, they will be taken care of one day. No, I didn't have more money and several extra days to do anything proper about them in the moment 🤣
The puppy sniffs on the bedframe were too cute
🐶🥰 thank you!
For the floorboard, you really should pull up what you can and bring it to a lumber mill to have them cut an exact duplicate that spans the width of the room. That way it's truly sound. You don't want to fall through the floor. It wouldn't be expensive.
I have no idea if this is your kind of thing or not, but if you're interested in the history of popular music at all, the History of Rock Music in 500 Songs podcast is my absolute favourite. It was my constant companion during my own recent move, and I couldn't have asked for a better one.
sounds quite interesting, in fact! thank you!
I really feel for you. My husband and I bought an 1869 house near Digby, Nova Scotia and I can relate to the cleaning. Our walls are covered with smoke from the wood/oil furnace. The rooms have been painted in dark colours which means priming before I paint over with a light colour. We have not had the challenges with wiring and plumbing that you have had, for which I am sooooo grateful.
Ooof, I can imagine what a nightmare that smoke residue must have been/must be 😭😭😭
It's clean, it's cozy, it's corgi approved, 10/10, excellent work!
Thank you so much 😀🥰
I think that is a bristle from a paint brush as I don't know anyone who paints with their dog 😂. I also think as you've gone to such trouble to make at least one room inhabitable, regardless of how long for, you may as well give the floor a lick of paint to complete the transformation.
Perhaps consider that I've demonstrated repeatedly that I have a good head on my shoulders and that if I didn't do something as obvious as tackling the floor in the room I was redoing, there's probably a reason for it 😉
@@ShannonMakes I'm absolutely 100% sure you know what your doing. I just thought as you've gone to such trouble to rejuvenate the rest of the room that would include the floor, even if only on a temporarily basis. Which I believe the room is on. Wasn't a criticism just a suggestion. I love what your doing with your property and the passion you have to restore, rather than just buy new.
@@sarahcartier3393 I appreciate the enthusiasm and investment you have in the room and the house! But yea, there were just many reasons that I decided the best approach was to just leave the floor as-is (the room is not temporary, per se, it's just... Version One 🤣It will probably live like this for several years before I can get to it again!)
Please keep the furry pest! You will find, in time, they are a great benefit to your home and are worth the time and energy feeding and throwing whatever treasure they find appealing at the moment. I love the trunk as a side table. The room is coming together really well. A good base to build on as you find more treasures. Have you been searching for things overseas to bring home?
🐶🐶🥰 I definitely don't need MORE things to bring into this house... unless it's power tools 🤣
My first thought when you opened the trunk was, “those are antique books.” You could probably look for a second hand book store/antique bookseller to see if they have any interest in them. Or you could have plenty of books to read now!
Definitely check for first editions!
As someone who has dealt with a woobly old floorboard rugs, especially layered, can do a lot to help distribute weight and if it feels particularly unstable, a scrap of the thinnest luan, hardboard, or plywood you can find over the spot and under the rug can be barely noticeable and spreads the pressure substantially. I would guess that even non-corrugated heavy cardboard under would stabilize that weird joint enough to make it quieter and less springy.
I don’t listen to many podcasts but I listen to audiobooks on the Libby app from the library
podcast recs: Maintenance Phase, You're Dead to Me, Lateral, Stuff You Should Know, If Books Could Kill
A few sound familiar, they all sound awesome!
I second Maintenance Phase!
Being a podcast addict since years, and doing all my chores, my crafting projects and my meals listening podcasts, I have a long list to suggest! I would say that it's highly depend on your taste. I give a look to Ologies and those ones seems close and are some of my favorite:
-Lost women of science
-cabinet of curiosities
-Atlas obscura
-Sapiens
-Ideas (from the CBC)
You will have hours and hours of good stuff to listen while you are renovate your home... keep giving us new videos about it! That's my friday treat every week and I enjoy all of them!
I love the way you thrift and design.
Thank you!! ♻️🥳
I appreciate how real you are with every step of the way - the good, the bad, the bewildering (pizza 9 feet up? lol!), the human. Somehow losing the final reveal is super relatable. The whole process was wonderful to witness though and I love the way you integrated that pretty paint job into the final bit.
Thank you!!
I especially enjoyed watching the video this morning. You're doing such a great job explaining how a room can be transformed on a budget. Finding and blending like colors can give any room a cohesive look. I laughed when you said you'd be replacing the AC with a box fan. I'm a Hurricane Beryl victim and just got power back after 50 hours without AC in 95 degree temps with a heat index of 105. The difference between our neighbor to the north and Texas, cooler temps. I got up to the bed placement and lost power again. Got to call the power company to make sure they know it's off. It could be a cluster thing. See you later.
Houstonian here too! Still no power at MIL's house 😢 It is HOT and steamy, I don't go upstairs except for a cold shower at the end of the day
I live north of Ft. Worth, don't know how you make it in that swamp! I lived in Houston briefly (85-87), and worked for Continental. It was always flooding. AND I had to go to work in a wool blend uniform & hose!!😂❤ best wishes getting thru this🎉.
@@dreed1058 you made me laugh. I agree that wool in the summer is a bit much. However, I do like the humidity but not the flooding. Harvey was interesting. 52 inches fell on Sugar Land in 4 days. Now that was a trip. You live close to the tornadoes. I'll take the rain. But you gotta love the diversity in weather in Texas.
@@karenmetcalf-pugh5 lol, glad I made you giggle!
@@dreed1058 Thank you. Beryl was number 4 for me, but the most interesting.
I found an episode of Marketplace on UA-cam that talks about air purifiers. Here's my tip: the most efficient way to clean your air is to make a DIY version using a box fan and a furnace filter. Tests showed the DIY version works better than a DYSON. I have made them for seniors who live in Hamilton (air quality issues). I have them in my home. I recommend for your place because of all the dust, dander, flakes of whatever, spores, etc. Once you see the furnace filter darken as the fan pulls crap out of the air, you will be sold. And SO much cheaper.
I love the colours!! Your style and ability to make do with what you have or can thrift are amazing.
Thank you 🥰
I'm glad you shared the room makeover even without perfect final shots. And it looks great! I'm amazed what you can do with thrifted goods.
Thank you so much 😀
Glad you have your oasis; super cute and cozy.
Thank you, me too!!!
Your selection of green paint is lovely, quite soothing, and with the addition of the antiques, spot on! Back in 1992 I purchased a 1915 Craftsman Bungalow home in Central California and at the end of each workday, my renovation evenings (and weekends) were a joy to perform and created a lovely sympathetic restoration of the structure, architectural elements and a weather-wise shade garden. Good times for sure. Just like you, my antique home was my canvas. It will be a joy viewing how you handle each of your projects. p.s. don't mess with the bed loving vermin, she will come in handy as an emotional support animal when projects go south, hug her and whisper sweet nothings in her ears and her adorable face will shine and let you know that you can solve any problem that the house throws at you.
💚💜💙
Such a great comment ❤
At least you’re off the mattress on the floor! Looks great and I look forward to seeing it completed. It makes my heart warmer knowing you thrifted what you could, because I’m a huge fan of other people’s throw away.
Thank you! 🥳
I recognize some of the books in the trunk. When I was a kid there was no library near us and my parents bought some of those kids' books published by Readers Digest.
I LOVE Ologies! I listen to them at work.
I love the decision to make the angled wall the green one! It looks so good behind all the pretty colors of the bed!

Never ending admiration for the courage here. My partner and I are in a long term project house ourselves, though ours is from the 1970s.
It can feel so endless sometimes, can't it. As for podcasts... he's in the military so I'm used to spending long periods of time by myself. Lots of podcasts in my playlist.
WhatsHerName discusses fascinating women history has largely either ignored or forgotten about, from all over the world.
Uhm... Radiolab is always good. Every episode you learn a new thing. And I bet you'll like Check Your Thread. All about sewing in more sustainable ways. Hope you enjoy them!
Portugal from Scratch, Frankie Off Grid, Simple Living Alaska & Roaming Wild Rosie are some of my favorites.
I ❤ it! I think you did a fantastic job. Thank you for your hard work also filming, editing and sharing your journey with us! I’m living vicariously through you doing what I’ve always dreamed of doing, but no longer have the strength and stamina to do it 😄. I so admire you. 🤗
Shannon, the hole filler you are using is great for picture nail holes. May I suggest some hot mud? You purchase in a large bag dry and mix as much as you need (peanut butter consistency). The best thing is that it’s stronger and dries faster depending upon which hot mud you purchase (5 minute, 10 minute…). You sand wet or dry and it’s sturdy so can side knife it off as it hardens so you don’t have to sand so much. It was a game changer for me.
I listen to a lot of podcasts while sewing. I highly recommend the trio regularly put out by The Smithsonian - Sidedoor for general Smithsonian stories and artifacts, Portraits is the (US) National Portrait Gallery, and AirSpace is the Air & Space museum. When it comes to crafting, I've fallen in love with Haptic & Hue which is about the stories of textiles and textile industries by a weaver, Threads by Threads magazine, Dressed, and What You Missed in History Class.
You have done a great job and yes I know what a small sanctuary amidst chaos can mean
Thank you so much 😀
Hey, when I use tsp, I use a sponge mop that has the part you flip over to wring out! Way easier than scrubbing. Place already looks so amazing! You guys are doing awesome work Where I live there is a free store at the dump where clothing, linens, dish ware, etc are diverted from garbage waste. No longer can pick building materials but a mattress recycle program just went in.
It looks really restful and clean and comfortable, the colours work really well together, it will be a great haven while working on the house, I love it xx
Thank you!! 🥰
Great makeover. Love the bedding. Those floors will look great once you sand and stain them in the future. Your home has a lot of character.
If you have purchased drapes that are not long enough , I have added an extra piece of extra fabric to go with drapes in a print or solid and it works great. Adds interest to the drapes. I release the side hems and bottom hem and then re hem to tie the drape all together.
yea! thank you for sharing. luv this.
You are so welcome!
It looks so nice!!! And keep the Corgi pest for decoration sence 😂
Hi Shannon, we moved into an old house a few yrs. ago and the floors in the bedrooms were like yours and I could see some rotten places so I just painted them white and put throw rugs down and you know it was pretty and I liked it so much I'd like to have one again. I put lace curtains up and flowered bedspread. I would feel so clean and refreshed from that room. I see alot of similar things in your house. Cept we didn't have the mold. The house came free with the job so we couldn't do much but I got alot of compliments for the way it turned out. My daughter helped me and it was a neat time. Laurie from Idaho
For the curtains I would just legnthen them with a complimentary fabric. But just the paint alone helped a ton.
I don't mind them at their current length at all 😊
@@ShannonMakes Your house your rules.I just proposed the idea because you can do it in any place of the house and maybe they can even been two toned!
Very true, and I absolutely will keep it in mind if I need longer curtains in other rooms - even multi-colored, rainbow stripes or something could be fun in the right circumstances!
Great improvement, the room is so cozy!! And as for podcasts, I would recommend Criminalia, which covers historical crimes. Each season has a theme, such as lady poisoners, art heists, or snake oil salesmen. Another interesting one is Cautionary Tales, which covers historical events with awful human error or fiascos. Sounds gloomy but its actually very interesting!
Cute!!! I have sewn panels of fabric as borders on curtains to get to the desired size. We bought my mum an 1905 house and it has ceilings that are 3.5m high with correspondly high windows and french doors so I have had to get creative making curtains. Even sewing a border along the ring section. xxxxxxx
This is my first time watching a video of yours and I'm quite happy I stumbled upon your channel!!
We love a practical queen! I appreciate how you are aware of the ideal design choices for interior designers like for the rug and curtains - but in reality, it's not always gonna be the affordable and practicle choice. Bigger rugs and longer curtains can get expensive and thrifting as you do will have limited options. So there is no shame in compromising! It makes us, people who are always on a budget too but want to have a lovely home, relate strongly and feel better about our choices!
Also, that tiny teacup you plugged in the socket, is it a light? It's absolutely adorable and I want one!
Yes! Exactly! Thank you! 🥳
I love it! Your little bathing gal reminds me of an old photo of my mom 🥰. It really turned out well, and I love watching you find solutions with limited time and resources. I think you're stuck with that pest though. Once you start feeding them...🐾
Awww, I love that 🥹 She came from one of the only free sidewalk donation piles I've come across in Nova Scotia!
I am sure someone else mentioned this, but it would be really cute to frame the old wallpaper and hang it as an Easter egg in each room.
I mentioned it myself in a previous video!! Going to do a gallery wall probably with all the old samples I can salvage!
You did a fantastic job on your room. The colors look great! I really like the girl sitting on the trunk. I believe we call them shelf sitters but not sure. I have a beachy vibe in my place and I want to get a couple of those girls in the bathing suits. I am looking for the older girls because I am an older girl (senior citizen).
Hi Shannon👋. Thanks for the house post. The room looks sooo much better.
I think the best decorated homes are the ones where the owner just does what feels right for them, adding bits of themselves. I garden like that and 'decorate' my house like that. Makes me happy🎉
Thank you!!!
Shannon, I love your bedroom! You put all of your thrift finds to good use! Well done❤️👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you!! 🥰
Love the green and the bedspread.❤️🐝🤗
Thank you so much 😀💚
I LOVE the finished look!! if you need/want to makke your curtains longer try and find another coordinating ( or same) fabric and add a band of it to bottom. Those old books are really cool and will make a great decorating touch throughout your home!!
Midnight Library is like a dark version of ologies! I love both!
Love the bit you did with the corgi XD PODCAST REC: Hello from the Hallowoods. It's a queer written narrative podcast in the genre of horror and eldritch but in a way that is also as comforting as it can be thrilling. The queer characters are fantastic. There's a lot of focus on community in the narrative. The character that narrates is an eldritch god that is describing the events to dreamers (us the audience) but this entity is so endearing about it
It was a wonderful design for the time you had. ❤
Favorite podcast: SciShow Tangents! Funny, and informative!
I thought for the wonky floor boards... measure to see if you flip-flop the 2 cuts boards to see if they will fit over a floor joist. Another Idea may be to exchange the 2 cut boards with an outside edge board. But this would require removing the trim where my first idea may not.
if you eventually wanted to make the curtains kiss the floor, you could thrift another contrast piece and attach in a band at the bottom. This seems to be both on trend and a fairly classic look and I imagine for someone with your skills would also be a simple task 😊😊
Good job! I love that you didn't give up even when it got hard
Thank you, but also... at no point did it get hard? (I mean, if I thought painting a room was hard, I imagine I probably shouldn't have purchased this house!!)
This was such a fun, cozy video to watch, and I am not ashamed to admit that I giggled out loud when you were pretending that Canelle was a pest. 😂😊 I think the final shots look great!! Well done, Shannon! So happy for you and Phil that your bedroom is now a more welcoming space. ❤
heheheh 🐶 Thank you! 💜
Maybe, in the future, do a scrap rug from scrap fabric. They look so cute
