That’s not the sound of the crowd roaring with approval, or the sound of us on an airplane. It’s the fan. It was hot in there and we needed moving air! The fan sound bled over into the video. Apologies, but the video is still worth a watch. ✌🏼
Actually, "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You" is my favorite RCA track. I like the slow tempo, the powerful vocal, and the even rhythm. I also like that it isn't dated by the backup vocals, like with Teddy Bear.
Absolutely! We have some great outtakes from that era. Missing a few, but we do have a huge cache of material to listen to! In the 50’s they just didn’t think the same way. It’s tragic.
I was in first grade in about 1972/1973. I was sitting on the sofa at night in the winter, with my mother sitting in a chair. And a commercial came on TV for an Elvis record (link below). And it started with the opening lines of Hound Dog. And as soon as that song started playing my back jack knifed up from the sofa, my eyes were wide, and I turned to my mother with a look of utter astonishment, and asked her in a voice of disbelief, "Who is THAT!!!!???!!!!" And that was it. Everything has been Elvis ever since. Although as I got older I lost interest in the '50s songs and learned to love the '70s stuff. ua-cam.com/video/GmMWEmUpMsI/v-deo.html
That is an excellent story!! Thanks for sharing that. I could feel your excitement while reading it! You should fall back in love with the 50’s songs. Sometimes I go back and give a good listen to a whole string of them and remember just how great they really are. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! Really awesome story!
I have grown to love the ballads, but I don't like at all Jailhouse Rock, Teddy Bear, Don't Be Cruel. I like Loving You, That's When Your Heartaches Begin. My favorite Sun track is Blue Moon. Talk about an innovative take on a song. Wow. I like a lot of the '70s stuff, and "I'm Leaving" is a REALLY unique song. I actually like a number of the movies tracks, like "I'll Take Love" and "Long Lonely Highway". Love the '70s rock and Country stuff. Love everything from Comeback. After I saw that commercial my mother gave me her personal copy of Elvis Golden Records, and the 45s she had. I used to watch any movie that played. My cousins and I used to play Elvis when they came over, the way other kids played guns. I was always Elvis. I had an Elvis wall through high school. I actually have an Elvis channel called Understanding Elvis. But I haven't posted anything in 8 months because UA-cam shadow-banned me for some reason. I'm going to try posting again soon. I did an Elvis impersonation in a variety show in grad school. Took a road trip to Graceland from Boston with my Dad in 1990. Took another with my son in 2009. Anyhow, you guys keep up the good work too. @@TheElvisWorkshop
@@HomeAtLast501 I -LOVE- Don’t Be Cruel. I think it’s an all time classic. That’s what great about being an Elvis fan. Everyone has different songs or movies, or concerts that they like or don’t like! Thanks for another great comment.
I heard George Kline, several times, touting that he had a tape of Elvis singing. I believe he said, "It will blow your mind!" He said as soon as he got "the right price" he'd make a deal for it to be out there for the fans. If he had that, whose hands is it in now?
Are you referring to when George Klein said he had a tape of Elvis and Carl Perkins duet that Felton Jarvis' wife gave to George after Felton passed away? If so I believe that duet was produced by Felton after Elvis passed. George had mentioned that on his radio show a few times.
You bet! I -LOVE- Motley Crue. Lots of my adventures involve the band. GnR is also a top band for these ears! Elvis is my favorite entertainer obviously, but I have a wide range of music I enjoy! Thanks for watching.
@@TheElvisWorkshopYes sir, as I do as well. No doubt. The Crue was absolutely 💯 my fav band back in the day, (besides “Van Halen” with Diamond Dave), got to see them on almost all the tours, (shook hands with Vince twice) and saw Nikki at a book signing for Heroin Diaries. 😊
@@FrankieLovesElvis very cool! I’ve met all of them multiple times with the exception of Mick. Could never get him. I was at the Hollywood walk of fame star presentation & got about 10 feet from him. I had a Shout album for him to sign. That’s all I wanted. He slipped away. Living in Vegas has its perks. I’ve run into Vince many times. He lives in Nashville now, but he lived here for decades. The Crue is always dysfunctional fun! Corabi is on the list as well. Met him many times. Lots of shows. Good times!
@@TheElvisWorkshop Hell yeah bro. I loved that ‘94 Motley Crue album and saw 2 shows around that time. How do you get to meet all these people? Is it cuz you live in Vegas and they’re just hanging around? Must be so kool to be you !!! Ha Ha Back in “97 I was about 10 feet away from David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen and I tried my best to get up there, but unfortunately security push us all back. Ugh 😩
@@FrankieLovesElvismostly living in Vegas is the key. I got a double LP of Corabi live in concert doing the entire ‘94 album. I saw him twice on that tour. The last time he was here he signed it for me. There are only 300 copies worldwide. Great concert! John is always very nice and very approachable. Great voice too, as you know.

Great video, you guys always make my day, you can't beat down to earth people, great banter.
Luv the show.
Thank you! This comment is exactly why we make these videos. It’s just for fun, but we love the reactions.
Thanks for the discussion you guys. Outtakes in the early 70s were golden and jaw dropping on the Legendary Performer series.

Most Australian Elvis fans grew up hearing there Parents or older relatives playing Elvis
and had those albums and become Elvis fans 🎩
Absolutely! It’s always great finding out people’s individual story of discovering Elvis.
Thanks for watching as always.
What a beautiful video's you make!
Very interesting and a lot of information.😊

50 minutes! What's going on? It is weird how he disparaged his Sun Records stuff in the 1970s.For everything else, blame Colonel Parker.
Just friends chopping it up. Check it out and you’ll see what’s up. We go over multiple topics.
Who is the man on the left in the red shirt? Did he once belong to the Elvis Pictures group on Facebook? He looks familiar.
Yes, Martin Robbins.
I don’t know how he got in my house. I was sitting on the couch one day & suddenly he was sitting next to me!
Holy cow, I remember him. @@TheElvisWorkshop
