OMG!! Rachael, you have GOT to push through FBAA! It is a MUST, ONLY because of the way the prequel that comes out afterwards, changes EVERYTHING, in the way the stories eventually entwine and it makes the series as a whole epic and make so much more sense. I didn't care for FBAA either until 2-3 books in, by then the first prequel came out, and like I said, it's wild and totally undoubtedly something you'd regret missing out on! ( Only saying this coming from my perspective, I have read and loved all the series you share!) Order the books are published is the author's intended way to read them.

PLEASE PLEASE read The Sword of Kaigen soon. It is THE legit best fantasy I have ever read. It’s emotional, dark, high stakes and tense. Fantasy has never been the same since I’ve read it. Nothing has topped it.

I can't wait for Book 2 of the Mortal Fates Series! It's interesting because lots of people hate Soren and say he's not redeemable but I totally feel the opposite. I don't hate him because almost a 1000 years of dealing with the bad kind of witches justifies his distrust. Now, was him a total idiot in regards to Rooke even after she proved herself helpful with Airlie, absolutely! But this is what makes the enemies to lovers trope work so greatly in this book. There's a line in The Sword where Soren says "I kneel for no man, no Seer, not even the Fates themselves." So, when he kneels before Rooke is going to be glorious!!! 😂❤

I'm 23 and I could not get into Shatter Me either! I think it might have to do with our ages and it could just resonate more with younger audiences maybe? It seemed like a series I would have ate up as a teen!

How did you know the next J Bree book wasn't coming out until May? You didn't talk about it in April, but I think the majority of people thought it was coming out April 19th. People didn't find out it was delayed until a few days before April 19th.

Shatter Me isn't all that. It's OK and I'm continuing it since it's short and fun a lot of times for me (minus the ridiculous flowery bits that make me want to pull my hair out) but I don't think you'd find it worth it at all. It's mostly nothing to rave about. FYI I read the first three and the two prequels. Meh but entertaining enough meh 😒 🍒❤❤
