I just finished Powerless yesterday. It was blatantly unoriginal, with far too many parallels to Hunger Games. Like you, the ONLY reason I feel enticed to continue on, is because of the provocative cliffhanger. Also, The Infernal Devices series is in my all time faves, and I liked Fourth Wing, but wasn’t impressed by Iron Flame.
Makes me happy that you put Fear the Flames in King of my Heart because that book is so good and so fun. I enjoyed reading it and gave it a 5 star rating. Absolutely loved it. 🥰
You’re not alone on powerless, I’m having a hard time finishing it. I might put it off until the next book comes out.
The Infernal Devices, Divine Rivals, Half a Soul, & Ballad of Never After are also God Tier for me! We have pretty similar taste, so I think I'm pushing Fear the Flame up my TBR, and hopefully soon reading Ashes & The Star Cursed King ❤

The Guild hunter series gets better and better as the series progresses....the first book was good for me as well but give the series a chance and continue, you will be pleasantly surprised.....
I missed this one, as I'm fairly new to your channel and still catching up where I can. The tier ranking you did for this video had me wondering why I haven't seen all these books, and the ones you put in the 'tolerated' and 'look what you made me do', are ones I think I'll just try out on kindle reads.

blood mercy is in king of my heart for me , i loved all the books i read from the series in 2023 (the first 4) and i cannot wait to continue the story this year! it became a comfort series for me throughout the year
the crown of oaths and curses is on my 24 in 2024 list and i'm so excited to read it! 🪩

The ending did it for me in Crown of Oaths and Curses. I always think about what Rook did at the battle scene like it doesn’t leave my brain.

I started The Crown of Oaths and Curses yesterday. I was captivated by the world right away. Couldn't even set it down while I was making tea. I got to the part before the party uses the gate to get back quickly, and I'm not sure I can keep reading. Donn seems a bit too into everything being fated (I get that is a major plot point, but I'm not sure I can read a main character who sees no use in his own actions). Also, I'm getting close to an Outlander style DNF with this. In the case of Outlander, when the heroine started sympathizing with the twisted clergyman, I had to set the book down. But, the world building in The Crown of Oaths and Curses has me second guessing my instincts here. I am interested to see how Donn's mate convinces herself that this fated union is worth not trying to break the world over. Also, books long antipathy is a plus. Should I keep reading?

I am one of those few people who are obsessed with the book of azrael. I know a lot of people don't like it but it's okay. Lol i just think it's so underrated like those two books are my top books of 2023!!!

I love Belladonna and Foxglove, but I can completely understand why you were disappointed with were the story is going. I also wish we would have seen more of the two of them in Foxglove :(
