I feel like crying...legendary cars dying out there😔
Waiting for the day to work on them my ass!. I've heard that a million times before. So many people have shit that just go to rot, not selling them to those who will do something with them or save them. Its a joke.
You are quite right. As they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions!
But atleast they exist and people know they exist. They might not be for sale now, but who knows in a month or year or 5 years.
Beyond Restoring!! Shit!!
Nah
Wow Ryan, you find some neat stuff! Hard to believe a shark tooth grille is on an otherwise plain jane Duster. Love the 71-72 Sebring along with the Mach 1, Boss and the first car, Red Cuda!
Indeed, a few cool cars here and there!
seeing a boss 351 takes me back to 1981,not being a ford enthusiast I was unaware of the power of the black mustang that had pulled along side as I was southbound on US 41 in my 70 challenger R/T, after the customary nod was exchanged it "was on seeing the nice black mustang pull away I noticed the Boss 351 decal and gained a newfound respect for what I thought at the time was a common 351. later learned the Boss 351 was not so common with some factory installed goodies.
That's true. People say that the Boss 351 was one of the best all around Muscle Cars of the time. So you never knew,
do you still have the challenger?
I had heard of the BOSS 302 but not the BOSS 351. one of the guys back in those days had one, back in 66, 67, 68,69, 70, 71, 72. I had a 66 orange vette, 350/365. a buddy had a 72 Z-28, lots of good fun. before I met her my wife built a 69 GTO. it would put her into tears if I could bring home a project like that, and at 3:22 I saw a GTO. I read the "they aren't for sale" replys but its been a while so I wanted to ask again. either of the GTOs. NC is where I bought my 66 corvette and I live in upstate SC. ask him if Grace and I can visit. I just retired too.
Yup, there was the Boss 302, Boss 351 and Boss 429. Sadly these still aren't for sale.
In Georgia off Hiway 141 in early 1980's there was a transmission shop, old school, middle of nowhere, old guy and his son raced dirt track, had a ton of road runners and other muscle cars. He'd let us walk around the yard and we came across a Boss 351out there, I was into Mustangs big time but never knew or heard of a 1971 Boss 351, thought it was fake and passed on the $300 price tag. it had been there awhile but was missing the carbs and intake. Kick myself in the ass now.
Chevy didnt have a 350 in 1966...much less in a Vette... it didnt come out until the 67 model year...
I love the '71 Plymouth Satellite Sebring at 3:32 and the '71/'72 Mach 1 Mustang at 3:39.
I agree, it was pretty cool.
When I was in Basic Training, a recruit told me he got drunk and totalled the front of his 1972 Yellow Dodge Challenger, we were in Delta 10/2 January 31, till May 6, 1983 at Fort Benning Georgia, wonder if that's the same guy, WoW what a Hourd of Nice car's, Love that red RoadRunner 70 or 71.
You never know!
I'll bet all the floor pans are rusted out from sitting out in that field for years.
I wouldn't doubt it. The ones in the lean-to might be ok. The rest though...
Awsome video man!!!!!I too live in NC.as i know they are not for sale..... would he up for adopting me so he could leave them to me lol maybe one day i will run across them lol
Great video of the ones that need rescuing. Most of my videos are of ones already restored.
Sweet!
have you been to Starke FL. hwy 100 west of hwy 301. dodge farm out that way a few miles,, google earth is easy to find it.
Not off hand, I'll put it on my map!
Love to have that 67 Cuda.
As would I
@@AutoArchaeology is all those cars still back there I would love to get one of those cars
makes me sick, they always say ya I am going to restore em.
But they were the smart ones and kept the cars from the crusher. These are not beyond help... well except for the wrecked ones. They will live again.
Most of the older cars that were backyard restored, were actually destroyed by amateurs. At least he saved them from the common idiot.
Thanks for the positive thoughts an' all, but.........well, lookin' at that hurts. They might as well go to th' crusher 'cause there may not be anything left TO restore if too much additional time is spent out there for those guys! Hell, when someone finally does decide to get a project going, it'll probably cost less to find one already restored, unless it's the "thrill of the hunt" they're after!
The old "I'm going to fix it up someday" has been the death of many good cars
Sad, truly sad.I have come upon such hoarding and in most cases the owner won't sell. The cars just rust and rot out. ☹️
And four and half years later they are still rotting away.
Probably
The Rarest One is Probably the GTO With the BOSS-351 being a Close 2nd. But the GTO doesn't Look like it would Take much To get it Going.
Rarest is probably the 71 Challenger R/T, followed by the GTO and Boss. But they are all crazy.
Ahhh 71 challengers are plentiful, 64 GTO's were a One year car.
Not a black 71 R/T with wide hood moldings. The GTO is right there though.
How are you able to get on these properties and check these cars out? It kills me on the inside to see these cars sitting there rotting away, and I wish I could nab them up and restore them all. I always wonder what's inside of these old abandoned buildings/barns, and I want to go look in hopes of finding something...but dont want to get shot....
I knock on the door and ask to learn the history of the cars.
Auto Archaeology then you must be able to see them from the road to know theyre there? Have you ever made any offers or purchased any of these finds?
Sometimes, other times I get leads from people I always as at the end, before I leave. 99.9% of the time they say no.
"I'm gonna fix er up someday"
You never know
Yea it won't take that long to get them all done.
got sick couldn't watch the full video sad
Damn
This was 4:00 minutes of my time lost forever
That minivan was super sweet
lol
where at on north Carolina
Yep,just stack shit on top of the cars ,because they are going to be restored, fucking as if.
Eh, atleast they still exist.
His cars to do with as he pleases. But he's probably fooling himself if he thinks he'll restore them. He should keep the GTO, and sell the others to fund the restoration.
That would be a good financial plan for the vehicles.
Ditto, the Goat is the best of the lot!
Is there anyway to get in touch with you personally? I live in North Carolina and my dad and I are looking for a 1970 cude and or 71 challenger to restore.
cuda*
Unfortunately the vehicles shown are not for sale. But just shows that there is stuff out there!
+Auto Archaeology yea neat stuff that is not for sale lol. cool video
Thanks
Correction the 69 mustang at 1:03 is a grande hard top GT,
Just repeating what the owner told me.
Auto Archaeology it's fine, just pointed it out for future reference,
Is any of it 4 sale or is he going to let it sit an turn to rust and dust tex me i am ready to buy
They are going to sit.
Where in NC?... Via I'm intrigued about that 68 gto... wondering if it could be or not to be thanks...
Can't say, not a public yard. Sorry
well can you get me in contact with him then about that 68 gto or what?...
It is not available at this time. My apologies.
all I was curious about was to see its history of where that car has been for if it went to Michigan in 77' then it could be my fathers old gto he use to own that he would love to have back...
thanks
All the cars here are local to the area for their entire lives.
Sad to see them riot , I’m sure they are not for sale
Eu num lugar desse eu fico maluco 👍 eu sou o comentário brasileiro que você procura 😁 abraço Araçatuba SP
alot of people say they will restore and never do . they prefer to watch them rot into ground . alot are eccentric. some very well off but depressive
You never know.
I know the feeling, I asked a guy in my area about a chevelle that was sitting in his yard and that's what he kept telling me for years when I was 17. After my aunt passed away that I used to visit there I decided to drive by when I was around 28 and a tree was growing through it.
what back roads in North Carolina these were located
Somewhere in the middle of the state. I forgot where.
@@AutoArchaeology Liar
how much for the gto
NFS
please call 911 for me. I am fixin to pass out as I'm sick of this. I have to delete this channel as I cant take seeing these cars anymore.
All I see now is the owner using them for expensive table tops to lay his junk on.
For now, at least they still exist.
@@AutoArchaeology is some of these gone
Amen to the comment below. SELL THEM BEFORE THEY ARE NO GO TO ANYONE.
I wish!
any chance this oerson wants to sell the challengers?
No, sorry
what about the 64 GTO is it for sale
It is not.
is the gto still there
Last I saw it.
Wow rediculous so many good ones sitting there. Not just plain models ether
What city in N.C?
It's out there.
That 67 cuda I think the 69 is better looking what a shame they will rot into the earth before the owner will sell
HOW MUCH FOR THE 67 CUDA?
NFS
Another sign of neglect cars rotting away might as well crush them
Nah
Some time you can get park for old car must some parts
if i was given a property like this i would auction all the cars, keep 1 or 2 projects.
That would work pretty good in theory
george stachura
I'll bet they are for sale, for top dollar on ebayyyy.
Nope, still sitting.
Does anyone know where a chevelle is
I know where plenty of Chevelles are at. Sadly none available for purchase. But there are a ton coming out of the woodwork nowadays.
Colton Whitacre You can buy my 72 Arizona rust free Chevelle.
The owner is going to restore them someday.
I hope so.
What a shame
I want the pedal car.
That's cool, not a pedal car though, originally it was battery operated.
I had a ex brother - in law like that with a 71 GTO let it rot...he owed me a thousand dollars. I offered to take the car for what he owed he said nope and I never got my money either.........
That sucks. I love 71 GTO's
Damn shame to leave all that gold laying in the weeds rotting away
THERE ARE NO BOSS 351's ONLY 302's & 429's THE 351 WAS A MACH 1 MOTOR EITHER 351 CLEVELAND OR WINDSOR THE PLANT IT CAME FROM OHIO OR CANADA.
There is a such thing as a Boss 351. Please google it.
Wow how could there be someone who doesnt know about the boss 351.It was the baddest boss of them all and a mach 1 engine it was not.It was all its own with several special parts.I've restored two of them and its not fun if they are missing any engine parts.Exactly 1806 were built and they would run with just about anything.
Absolutely! they are almost as rare a the boss9's and probably quicker, also 1 year only car, sadly emissions killed them
I wish could fix car and be my dad he fix any car make part for car old and make him like new parts
Good video except for you skipping over a ROAD RUNNER and a 69 GTO!!!
Timing
That was a 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus at 3:32!
Graveyard for American muscle cars...
Nah, they are still in pretty good shape and can be saved, eventually
2:56 minutes What the hell is or was the as you put it : Live hood moulding ? strangest term l have yet to hear otherthan that so obnoxious crossover crossdressing term.
1971 Dodge Challenger WIDE Hood Molding. www.dodgechallengerrt.com/featured/1971/1971-dodge-challenger-rt-7.shtml
Hi Auto Arch. & sorry about being Stout Frank but l'm BPD, PDST, Dysthimia , & irish poorly raised. So please accept the apolgizes.
It's ok, just helping clarify.
Thank you.
that's a dam shame
Sucks
2 thumbs down
Darryl Lehman dodge made the little red express not Ford .wow. Wow.
auto archaeology i wish i could have the money to run around the country and find these one day i will restore this car stuff. what is it with fat retired people thinking they will restore anything in the near future. i bet they do not drive a restored car but a old pickup instead that they paid for cheap. i do restore my cars and if you came to my house you would see that i do restore them because i can turn the key and make them run and they have plates on them. it just kills me to see cars that others let rot with their pipe dream of one day i will,,,,,, while sucking beer and getting a bigger belly. i am not fat or with a belly or drink beer or smoke or drug myself. i put that money towards part to restore cars instead.
At least they still exist, they might not be for sale now. But something will happen with them eventually.
well that makes me feel better. wish i had a chance to have one. thanks again for responding
I'm there with ya! I'd save them all if I could!
Part out most of them
Nah
Wow going to shit.
What a waste of beautiful cars.
Atleast they still exist.
Every year, a little more of them is gone. At some point they will only exist in memory.
Still be a long time before that happens, especially with these vehicles.
They are not worth shit to me, rusty junk not worth showing. The owner can't ever fix the toy car, ggg
Ok
Why not sell some of damn cars you can't restore every one of them let someone else buy one and fix it instead of you just lettin them sit and go to shit
Don't know, but the guy has a plan he said.
save the mopars!!! junk the rest
lol
71 Boss 351 "One of the best overall muscle cars.."...???!!!
ARE YOU BATS....???!!! Take my advice and get off the drugs...😏
It was one of the best balanced muscle cars you could buy. And that's coming from a Mopar guy.
Omg🤬
Right?!
