Our Whirlpool oven is relatively new, and WAS preheating fairly quickly, always preset at 350, but now it takes much longer, or won't get to 350 at all.
Anyone have any idea if replacing oven temperature sensor will fix the too long to preheat problem. Bake and broil elements check good, as well as power to the elements.
@@timrogers961 we’re pretty sure it is our entire circuit board needing replacement. We tested the elements, temp regulator, checked the fuses, all of that, but were pretty sure that only 110 instead of 220 is being directed to the oven. Pain in the ass.
@@MikeMiddleton323 Hey Mike. PITA is right. I'll take an old style oven any day of the week instead of these new ones with control boards that won't hold up. From the sound of your comment I think you must have a multimeter. If so, and if you're comfortable with doing live voltage checks, with the back cover off and oven set to preheat most manufacturers wire one side of the bake and broil elements continuous 115vac. The relays switch the other hot leg of the elements on and off. Sometimes a relay is still switching but contacts are burnt, so doesn't allow full voltage through.
I set the temperature to 425 and 90 min. Later it's at 410 in convection mode. If I set it in bake mode 90 min. Later will read 390. This is a recent problem, usually it takes about 20min. To reach temperature. But not anymore. What would of recommend?

Hey I just bought a new stove and my oven seems to be giving some issues. When I was trying to bake my ham I left it to cook and it came out still raw. Also the next day I tried a casserole and it didn’t cook well. I don’t know if the oven is not keep temperature. I also called someone to look at it and the person said the oven works fine……. I tried it again today and it’s still giving that problem I don’t know what to do it is frustrating 🤦🏾♂️
What if my kind of old oven is taking forever to heat? it usually starts of at 350 on the screen and works up from that about 5 degrees per minute. now it starts out at 100 and heats about 5 degrees for 15 minutes.
When i preheat my LG oven for 350 on "Bake" the temperature wont go higher then 320 and stsy on preheat. When i place it on preheat on "Convection" for 350, it works and bake but not if i set it on "Bake".
My kitchen aid does not indicate when it is preheating. If I choose convect roast 400 degrees there is no way to know when it is up to temp. No display or signal.
This could be an issue with the temperature sensor not working properly. You should definitely call your local service technician and have them come take a look.

Make sure you aren't opening the oven door during that time. Otherwise, this sounds like it could be an issue with your oven's heating element. We recommend calling your local service technician to come take a look at it!
@@abcdefghilnal hey idk if you’ve found a fix yet but when I turn on the stove and the oven at the same time then the oven heats up faster! Hope this helps!
Depending on the size of your oven this will affect time (bigger will take more time, smaller less). But typically it should only take 10-15 minutes for your oven to preheat to 350 degrees. Again, this all depends on oven size. Hopefully this helps explain this better!
@@Donsappliances oh, how nice of you. No, we just got our brand new built-in ovens in our newly built home 6 months ago. I just never imagined that quick-preheat wouldn't be a standard feature.

Do these ovens stay warm for a long time after use ?

Just show you that old technology is superior to new technology.
That's not necessarily true - while older technology probably lasts longer than today, technology today has far more features than ever before.
