I remember Stead AFB from aircrew advanced survival school in 1956. I had been warned about avoiding the winter school, and put if off 'til the summer session. Still, it was a bitch: we had no food but had to abide by the Calif. game laws. Don't ever try to eat a porcupine, it tastes like pine resin, no matter how often fried/boiled/roasted. Bears climb to grab whatever you've stored. But it was a lark compared to jungle survival school in Phil.

All you guys seem to throw those Alaskas on, and I'm assuming many are on Cleavlands, which makes for a very heavy package for a fox and 912. How do you guys get around like that!?

Use Beringer wheels. 4.5 lbs lighter.

Wow, I have the kitFox bug bad. I have looked at all the LSA there is available, and I don't know if it's all your videos or what! I do know I will now never be happy until I can own my very own KitFox!!!!! I can see me flying to the farm in West Virginia from Durham North Carolina in my head so clear. Now I blame you LOL for this bug that has bitten and infected me so bad. I would be your Wing Man any day.

Same boat. I have a plan built to get the plane and engine. Currently building a timeline for my ppl, going to do the money math and try and combine the two plans into a fluid timeline and all budgets and large funding stages. Dreams are worth zero dollars. Turn them into a plan and put that plan into action. My plan also includes a Van's rv. Joined eaa and I'm off.

So is Trent's old panel for this airplane? Or do you have another fox for the apex motor? I'm excited to start seeing all these apex builds flying and see them out in the wild!

Is the TK1 landing gear the same as the gear Kitfox sells? I’m interested in doing away with my Grove gear as well. Mines a Kitfox 7 taildragger.

Lincoln is a great airport, I was based there for many years. In fact, that looks like my old hanger where you guys were parked

Living the life! 3 days of flying sounds awesome. I can’t wait to see how Alex’s new gear works.

That new landing gear Alex designed and built, is exactly what the spirit and aim of "experimental home-built aviation" is all about. I can't wait to see how it performs.
