As much as I love ORAS's soundtrack, THIS should have been it.
blackbox64 Nah the ORAS one is fine. This should've been the Latias/Latios battle theme in US/UM.
They should've added an item to alternate between the old/new soundtracks of the game, just like they did with the gb sounds item in heartgold/soulsilver

Nothing can beat this theme. This is hands down the absolut best "wild Pokemon battle theme"
Not a single Generation came close to this perfection. It is so damn catchy but still melodic.
The beat is constant and isn't jumping too much like in later Generations!

THE NOSTALGIA THESE INSTRUMENTS BRING IS OVERWHELMING.
I still remember my first time playing ruby. After picking torchic, I set out to fight that poochyena, and was hit with the awesomeness that is the rse wild theme. I just sat there for 10 minutes listening to it. Thanks for making it more epic!
I chose Torchic too! But I chose Emerald.
I chose Torchic as well. I remember being so stoked when it evolved into Blaziken, it's still one of my favorite pokemon.

This is so catchy, I’ve always loved this wild battle theme.
:40 It's this part right here that gets me the most. It sounds like you are ready to be taken to the nearest hospital as now the battle has gotten really intense and a sense of danger is there. It's the part that holds it all together for me that makes this battle song one of the most unique ones in the series by far.
I love the concept of an enhanced remix. It's like a dash of salt on a nostalgia steak.

Why does everybody confuse french horns for trumpets? I mean, yes Hoenn did have a lot of trumpet sounds, but everybody also seems to think that the french horns are also trumpets. THEY HAVE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SOUND.

They’re still brass instruments tho so atleast they’re not saying that it’s like an oboe 😂 That’s why gen 3 has some of my favorite music in Pokémon because of all of the brass.

By far my favorite wild battle theme. It's epic and specifically :40 sounds like a freakin ambulance is coming your way. That sense of danger without it all being happy is perfect.

This is still THE definitive wild theme. Maybe it's because I was 8 when these games came out, but THIS is the song that comes to mind when I think of any wild Pokémon battle, and has forever, and shall remain so.
