- Kyosho going to sue somebody! You might want to grab this $69 Mini RC crawler from Amazon before it's gone! In this episode of 10th Scale Garage, we unbox this 1:24 scale crawler and compare it to a REAL Kyosho Mini Z 4x4 and see how it performs on out RC crawler course. Let's take a look at it next to a Axial SCX-24 and see th difference in size. How easy will this thing be to maintain and upgrade? On thing is for sure, You'll want to get it before it's gone.

I’ve got some experience with these. Picked one up a year ago (my first micro crawler) from “the jungle” for $80. It actually came with full Jeep badging and has worked flawlessly. One minor difference in body over the Kyosho is that the door hinges are painted black on the Red Spiders’ (also different are the side mirrors and light lenses). My working theory is that the factory making Kyosho’s made a production run of the wrong body details, and they are now recouping the cost of the rejected Kyosho bodies (??).
Then, this fall Aliexpress had them for $50 so I picked another one up of a different color. Same Red Spider box, but this time the body lacked the “Jeep” and “trail rated” badges. It also came with a more generic transmitter like you have (the 1st one was identical to Kyosho except the red in the foam and the Kyosho label). The ESC isn’t as good on the 2nd unit (the actual cpu board has a different layout) with occasional receiver binding issues and throttle force issues as well.

I have one, and the Kyosho parts fit. I have the light kit, I put a new set of weight rims and tires, and it performs really good.
Yesterday my red spider arrived to my house in CHILE, it is beautiful and behaves very well. good, pretty and cheap. The only detail is that it is not very smooth when accelerating or requiring torque, but the rest is all very good.
Not sure about the vehicles, but that course is 10/10

I bought 3 off amazon for christmas for my kids. (Red, Green, and White)One of them i have been upgrading with mini z 4x4 parts. Added brass hex adapters and RGT 13162 wheels and tires along with upgraded shocks. Waiting on aluminum steering link. But we love them. They were only 55.00 at Christmas time on amazon. And with the upgrades i have 100.00 in the whole rig and works alot better.

Definitely an awesome little rig for the money, especially with all the Kyosho upgrade possibilities! Please modify it and show us the performance in a following video! I might pick up some of these for me and my sons!
Swap the body mounts attached to the frame from left to right and the wheel wells will line up perfectly

I got 2 on walmart online for only 35 each on sale, lol shouldve got more, i run one with a kyosho jimny body, and plan to get the new defender body for the other one, however one did come with a broken twitchy steering, but replacement servo was pretty cheap and perhaps better quality.

Maybe these is really a Kyosho,with a different name.You say it doesn!t run smooth as the Kyosho? But the price is low for someone thinking of getting into the Hobby? But doesn!t want to spend the big money for finding out they are not into 24!s. Stay safe and Happy RC.
