Did I Get SCAMMED on this CHEAP RC Range Rover?

- This RC crawler is chep, but did I get scammed? Broken out of the box, and almost sabotaged with the transmitter, this thing was so bad that I almost sent it back, but rather than admit defeat, I persevered and got this thing running and took it out for a test drive on the tails. There is still plenty of work to do on this RC Range Rover but I've already got some plans on how we can improve it. It's the LDC 1299 RC crawler, but most of it's components come from WPL.

Good video ! It’s a Range Rover evoque which is like trying to go rock climbing in beach shoes . Looks ok shame it didn’t work out the box. Look forward to more videos subbed

I also drilled a small hole to get easy access to the screw on the servo as mine loosened and i lost steering (easy to tighten now).

I got the LDR/C 1201 Unimog. It was packed much, much better. It was in perfect condition and worked straight out the box. Only £100, comes with remote locking diffs, portal axles and a two speed gearbox. Great truck. I have the box art on my pit wall - including the 'Let More People Enjoy Playing Models' bit. Classic. I kinda feel you were really unlucky with this RC. 🍻
Love your channel! My LDRC came working just fine, i think you may have gotten a lemon as i posted a scale trail drive video on my channel and the controller was fine. Stay cool and RC on friend!
I had the same disapointment with the wpl c74. But in the end, it was cheap and the body is really well made.
that front IFS looks more capable than wpl one... maybe they fix things like they did with unimog...
that looks like something that could be fun to "upgrade"
$60 or $600 even at $6 still don't expect to have to fix it first! And Think a WPL is far better bet! I bought the MN Models MN86K with the Merc G-Wagon body for $80 last year and that's actually a good RC from the start! And body is awesome
Going to have to add a scale soccer field to the crawler course.

$66 is a LOT of money to some Mom buying a "toy" for their child that doesn't work out of the box. What a stinky turd! 😆
It's just unlucky QC. When they work, LDRC stuff usually does well for their price - look no further than their P06 Unimog and Gen 2 drift cars.
It is only 66 bucks and don't think it's a crawler so you should probably use it where it's supposed to go, like the road, and it should be fine. Barely find a good esc for the price of the whole truck so can't really be to picky.
Would love to see it drift!
I vote 1/10SG makes the performance match the looks and keeps a tab on how much it took to get there.👍

The MN82 for $40-50 would be a much better buy, those looks like the same wheels/tires as the MN78 lol

Make a drift car out of it some how!!! Maybe just a small sliding vehicle not even full drifting it would be cool
Just get a LDRC Gen 2 or WLToys K969 or K989 at that point rather than trying to turn a lemon crawler to a drifter by ANY means (LD1299 is fine if they're not broken/bad apple examples actually, but... LDRC QC isn't exactly great)
I love this RC Channel. But what’s with the music I’m trying to here what your trying to say. Maybe turn it down 35-50%. Ok now I’ll try to watch the rest of the video. I noticed when I saw this RC for the first time it has the MN78 wheel and tires on it. If it’s just a MN with a different body I’m cool with that if it’s a lil fast I’ll get one. Ok see what your review says. Rock on RC Dude 🎉
I say that all the time, the amount of things I find and fix that the average Joe couldn't or wouldn't. Simple things, like servo replacement
I'll give it a pass considering LDR/C updated their drift cars to a V2 version that really improved over the original. They have some quirks and issues to work out, but now I have an accurate 1/18 Initial D Trueno hard body that actually does drift stuff for under 50 doll hairs. Not bad! Solid review! 👍
Hate the thought that these RC,s may put kids or new people off the hobby forever I've never seen you guys use the wpl V3 sound esc light kit? The V8 one would be great in this and throw in the two speed gear box and oil shocks (may help tyre scrub otherwise different wheels) would be a ripper then!! A 10th scale ghost 🤔😂
please upgrade it add some better shocks a better esc and simple lipo .
Maybe put the body on something else? Massive fender trim. Maybe it would fit the new Enduro 12s? I say ditch the chassis! Go mad with it!
I ordered 1 and it arrived in good condition. 1 rear shock was popped off but easily fixed. It's a trail vehicle not a crawler. None of the problems you experienced, but I'm going to upgrade the motor though
It's like a cheaper version of CC-01.
It's a mom's vehicle not supposed to be a crawler. No one buys that range rover to actually go off road in real life.
