Fans tend to interpret the Diamond Cutters, their mother base in an oil rig structure, their tactical espionage action life etc, as a reference to a certain game series directed by a japanese gentleman who's friends with Guillermo Del Toro. My question is, assuming this is intentional, was Sega aware, or did you sneak it by? But hold on, it's not over yet- if it was intentional, was it ALWAYS intentional, or did the idea just come after you saw people react to Whisper by pointing out she's a sniper wolf? Did you put your will to paper or allow yourself to let the memes come to life?

Is it possible for non-echidna characters to be possessed by Enerjak? Could conditions to "become Enerjak" be met by characters with Chaos Powers such as Shadow or Mogul?

Did you have any plans for Mr. X after the Mega Man 6 adaptation? In the final issue, we see in a one page summary of the events of Mega Man 6 what seems to be Mr. X getting thrown into a portal.

I don't remember if it was in-book or just the encyclopedia, but yes, you'd seeded that Enerjak was an ancient echidna, iirc in love with Aurora who was also just an echidna, then she ascended to deity and Enerjak became a spirit who possesses echidnas.

Wow, what a coincidence that Kyle watched Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Worse-er the day that you guys recorded this episode. I was so surprised! Thank you for your answer Ian. It’s fascinating to hear about the process behind the scenes and your ideas for Sonic Boom. I miss new episodes for the show so much. I’m so glad you had the opportunity to write for it, and for an episode for my favorite duo. 💙💛 Also, Marine would be a perfect sidekick for Tangle.
The enerjak thing was in the encyclopedia
Back when you did the Enerjak arc, I was one of the fans that was crushed in the killing of Locke. But lately, hearing your explanation, and even me being critical of Locke on what he did in my own works, you were right in making him exit, particularly the way you did. I know it's been a long time since then, but I do appreciate in what you did now.

Yeah, Enerjak was never established as more than an alter ego in the books themselves, it's just food for thought in the encyclopedia.

Part one of the Algorithm Quest!
I like too see a remake worlds unite but with noticeable differences.
1.tangle, whisper, dr. starline, rough, and tumble be replacing archie's characters.
2.extended battles with mavericks in each world.
3.add team chaotix, silver, and blaze participate in battles with sigma army.
4. restoration replace freedom fighters.
5. extended interactions.
and 6. instead of deadly six have the bad guys starline, rough, tumble, mimic, and zavok join forces with sigma and his army in multiverse conquest.
oh and ending plot twist after sigma and his maverick army destroyed dr. starline back up plan use warp topaz too travel farther in time and come back with reinforcements in the form of mutos reploid/pseudoroid army from mega man zero/zx era.

If mega man x crossover with sonic again in the comics would they use all Maverick bosses or limit the ones appear in Sega consoles.

You mentioned that you had Boomified Versions of characters pitched for your Boom scripts. Could you share some specifics? The world and writing of Sonic Boom is pretty different compared to the one of the games, with even the characterization and roles of the characters differing, sometimes drastically, from their game counterparts, so I'm really curious who you wanted to adapt and in what way you would've done it to fit them into the world, if your scripts would have been picked up.

I actually liked Locke, but you did some necessary fat-trimming during the Archie Sonic days. I remember when you referred to Knuckles as the "Hot Pocket of Destiny," that was hilarious.

If given the opportunity, would you be open/interested in writing a full fledged series of the Mega Man Battle Network series? I imagine you'd be able to do the series justice like Megaman's .EXE-Verse. (The EXE-Verse Megaman being a separate timeline where the series resolves around super-advanced internet networks and NetNavi's and their Users/Operators instead of machines and robot masters for those uninformed in the comments section.)
