Nice software choice! If anyone has trouble transferring on pc(looks like the Mac is much more stable) try 10 at a time. If it messes up you can quickly change out problem samples.
I’ve been sitting, staring at the sample for years now, just wishing it had more features. By chance I stumbled across Pajen 7 the other day, and now this. Feels like a completely new instrument!
Common issues I found resolved: If nothing happens to your Volca, ensure the volume on your mac or pc is max (raise it up all the way) Then you will commonly see error codes to a number (Error 00-Error 99) if that segment was blank or it failed. If you’re uploading 10 at a time, you will get errors on all the blank templates. So say you have all 10 by 10 columned filled with samples, you shouldn’t see any error codes. But say you only upload the first 2 .. then you’ll see Error 21-99 which I found was normal Hope this helps anyone who was stuck like I was.
@@venusonmarserror codes to a number means that sample failed. If you’re missing samples that’s normal. I found you have to ensure your computer volume (or Mac) has to me up all the way and then it begins. If you have all 10 slots filled on each column you wouldn’t get an error (error 31… error 32… so on and so forth until error 99 meaning the 99th slot failed or was blank, etc.)
transfered, but the sound didn't change in volca. I just tried with the sample 0. ... and in Volca S.000 sounds still as it was earlier. nothing changed.
if I want to transfer sounds from garage band, what kind of file do I have to save the sounds as? would it be possible to record from the garage band interface directly to my Korg?
Struggling with the "ERR DCOD" error code trying to do this process... so annoying :( I've tried 30/40 times with different volume combinations. Anyone find an alternative fix? (I'm using a MacBook Pro 2012)
The very first Kick clicked 'Kick Piston.wav' was from the Maschine pack 'Static Friction'. The first kick loaded into a slot was 'Kick Ting 1.wav' from the Maschine pack 'Pulswerk'. I can definitely recommend the Maschine packs, even if you don't have Maschine. They're super high quality and not over-processed.
I have followed everything but when it's all hooked up it doesn't read anything on the volca. I pressed LET'S GO and nothing changed on the volcano screen.
@@sarahreinold3171 Try another cable or volumes or playback device. With the Korgs it is a pain in the ass to load stuff in (my korg didn't work for 2 years and suddenly did the update to the latest firmware 2 days ago). I still don't understand why Korg did this this way. But once you are over that, they are a bundle of joy :-D ! Can I, for example, record some running water and put that sound on the sampler ? I want to make it sound higher or lower depending on what key I'm pressing.
I have tried everything I can think of to get samples onto the machine, a Volca Sample 1. All I get is "dcod" error message. Brand new high end audio cable. Plugged in to electric source. Tried using new AA batteries also. Tried different computers. "Dcod" error message every single time. Sound is turned up. I tested it. The cable inserted from audio jack to synch-in, as instructed. I deleted the first 10 samples and so am trying to install them in that location. But nothing. This is incredibly frustrating. The machine seems like it is amazing, if it works. But this is so frustrating I will be returning it soon if this is not resolved. I can only assume the machine is defective. Instructions from Korg are horrible. This is really turning me off to Korg. I bought a Volca FM which I like a lot but this is infuriating.
when you transfer sounds on to your korg does it earase the preset sounds that already come with it because they actually sounds preety good dont wana loose them
Just give me an xlr in and a quarter inch in for recording samples(or even an internal condensor mic) and it would actually be of use to creative musicians
Seems to fiddly the whole point to Hardwear is so u don't need to mess around with computers ...the volca sample is not for me if it could directly sample I'd have one but all this fiddling about ain't my thing as I go through samples quick I like to grab them then see if they fit I'm not a fan of sample packs either as there all the same shit I like getting my own from UA-cam movies ect .

If only one could just sample straight into volca like a proper sampler.
Would it not have to be a sampler for that to happen instead of just a sample sequencer? I am guessing it would push the price up :(
you can but got buy MIDI out mod ;)
Thanks for the video it is very helpful and makes Volca sample sampling explained
Always good tutorials. Thanks!
Nice one bro
The video sound is pretty good, beyond my imagination
such a cool plugin!
Thanks! Plenty more to come yet, I'm working on some nice updates...
I'm having trouble with my loaded up samples showing up on my Sample. Would I need to clear the factory samples before loading up my new samples?
Did you figure it out?? I'm struggling with the dang ERR DCOD error message after 40 tries... so annoying.

Can't you just transfer samples via USB to and from the sampler USB?
Where to get Maschine Best House samples?

Hello. which Sample pack are you using here because just that first drum kick alone sounded so good

me too dude. wtf.....does the volca have to be in a certain setting?/? THe software is transmitting but nothing changes on my volca...

Are you trying to load samples onto the Volca FM ?
turning up the volume on my mac worked for me
turning up the volume on my mac worked for
me too!
Quand je lance le transfert le volca ne réagit pas et n'affiche pas data mais toujours live
you hve the akai lpd8 like me Algonaut
you should come out with a sample pack
So can you put more than one sample on a patch? Or it’s just one upload per sample?
Can I, for example, record some running water and put that sound on the sampler ? I want to make it sound higher or lower depending on what key I'm pressing.
Not yet as Atlas is really workflow orientated towards drums. We are tackling other samples too though, stay tuned.
Try the AudioPocket App.

Why only load drum samples? Is that a limitation of software or korg? I am wanting to load long samples and foley sounds
It's possible but gotta make filesize small or you'll reach 4mb limit.
Just label this video Mac SW for Volca ok ?
thanks
No problem!

yes it removes them, but vosyr has a Factory Transfer option and you can put them all back in I believe
@@alexlucaxxxxxxxxxxxx If not, you can get the factory sounds on the Korg website to do a full restore.
