-Impala SS : 5.3L V8 model with according to owner a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust and firehawk indy 500 tires in 265s all around ( instead of 235s ).
Mustang GT : 2020 GT 10 speed non PP with 3:15 diff K&N panel filter, Ford Perf. Res delete x-pipe & lowering springs, 20" wheels with 305rear/245front.
Stock Specs :
-2006-09 Impala SS : 5.3L OHV 16v V8 303hp @ 5600rpm & 323ft-lbs (438Nm) @ 4000rpm for 3711lbs (1683Kg) FWD with a 4 speed automatic.
-2020 Mustang GT : 5.0L DOHC 32v V8 460hp @ 7500rpm & 420ft-lbs (569Nm) @ 4600rpm for 3666lbs (1663kg) RWD with a 10 speed automatic.

I raced a 2016 Mustang GT in my 2012 Impala, I knew I'd lose but goddamn was it fun, gaped him for like a split second till he ran right pass me and gave me a thumbs up.
and 2016s are much slower than 2018-2023 ( gen 3 coyote and 10 speed comes in 2018 ). Its always fun to race though !

Have one of these with the V6 that I intend on swapping for an LS2, tremec, and Corvette C6 rear diff. As they were stock with the LS4, not the fastest but definitely a cool car. Shoot have had friends and colleagues try to persuade me to sell it, but love it too much to let go of it.

What year is your avalon ? I had a rental Charger RT for over a month and some dude tried racing me with his ( i wanna say mid to late 2000s model, maybe early 2010s ). And it was a tougher race than i'd thought. Probably almost as fast as this here SS. But yeah nothing compared to a 10 speed gen3 GT. On the other hand if you're in the market for a used car and still want a sedan, try looking for a genesis 4.6L or 5.0L R-spec. Both V8s, 385hp and 429hp respectively. The 5.0 R-Spec does low 13s 1/4 mile from the factory.

@@michaeldunlap2254 the 5.0R Spec is pretty close to a gen1 5.0 GT though. And i wouldn't go genesis coupe tbh. They only come in 2.0t or 3.8. Your 4.6L has more grunt than either or.

I own a couple SS models. My 300 whp Cobalt SS would give a little more fun haha.
Yeah I have a 220whp/284wtq Stage 3 Fiesta ST ( 1.6T/2600lbs) While the Mustang is way faster the little turbo 4 banger cars can be a TON of fun too

Love my SS but this mustang has what 450 hp ? SS has 303, was good in 06-09 before they went crazy with horsepower. It is a fun car and it is quick compared to most cars on the road.

@@kiing504__8 a 2007 SS runs a 14.2 101 mph a 2006 Charger RT runs a 14.1 at 100.1mph. A stock RT will definitely not " Get ran thru " as OP stated. They will be neck to neck until either the extra gear keeps the charger ahead, or the slightly lighter weight of the ss gets it to edge ahead slightly because the trap speed is 0.9mph faster in the 1/4.

@@kiing504__8 Yeah definitely a driver mod is usually the most important. But on these fairly low tech automatic vehicles its pretty much mash the throttle & go. Turn TCS off if you're roll racing. Probably the only setting that affects performance at all on these cars.

It depends on what you put on your car your car is metal parts not to think off it you could change your tick and acceleration settings my 3.9 got a gauge booster cold air intake it verys your car needs to breather too much breathing can cause it to over heat but get better radiator new suspension lower ones fords have a lower suspension you look at a impala its butts sticking out but add stuff to your car racing chip govermental stuff@@CarAccelerationChannel
@@CarAccelerationChannelbut add newer equipment for older engines that's where it's at all Impalas have eco boost so saves the car Impalas haven't sell newer ones because people didn't like fwd cars at the time so they didn't sell as much so impalas couldn't be made into a muscle car it had to be something reliable at the time because Chevy saw that they were just used to be reliable and not really a racing car but you change some settings replace old stuff mess with you vacuum seal a bit etc your good add rebreater too so cold air intake could breathe
