The problem you had with not finding the "developer" within the cfg file, is because when you search there are two buttons "up" and "down" and in that search you did, the term "developer" was above the current line that you were editing, and you need to switch to the "up" button to find it, there is no need to save and close the file, just do that.

Unfortunately in ETS2 at the moment this is the walk mode maybe in future they will differentiate between free cam and walking
