G'day again Milan,
I got the Iberia Map Pack I was missing plus got the SCS Truck Tuning Packs & Volvo Heavy Loads as my christmas present😁,
As it recently uploaded to 1.49 I decided to uninstall & reload 1.48.5 (with "Properties" "Beta") so I could give the ProMods Maps a go, I downloaded all the files, then took my time following Step by Step pausing this video (due to problems caused by the head injury I suffered my memory for multiple steps is Terrible these days) & it worked first go, thank you very much for all your help.

I find myself moving more and more to my mhapro combo though to be honest.
Not because promods is bad, it looks great and and ads a lot of realism but somehow the mhapro map feels more alive to me.
I sm probably alone in this though.

Milan thanks for this guide really helped me, I got it to work thanks to this i additionally installed the Maghreb map mod. If i zoom in on the world map though my game crashes anything i am missing?

At the instalation part, where did you came up with "you can't use it on your current profile and you have to create a new one"? I'm using promods for a long time and I've always used it on my current and only profile without creating new ones and even when I ran it for the 1st time it worked without any issues.
Same here; I've never had a problem using promods with an existing profile.
Perhaps to avoid some incovenient (especially since it is a guide for the first timers of promod per se) since some people would like to separate their save files of mods and promods, good thing that promods keep having some updates,but some other mods couldn't catch up with the updates of the official game
Well I messed up my words. I meant.. you having a normal save with ets2 default map and then install promods in the same save
I have big problems with my current 1.47/2.65 ProMods profile and I can not use it with the new 1.48/2.66 update. From 1.46 to 1.47 I had no problems. This time I have. So I think it depends on what other mods you used in the older version.
For me I have to make a brand new profile.
@MrStian78 🤣Of course you have problems since they're not compatible. Update your game to the latest version and delete all the pro mods older version files from your documents, disable them in the in game mod manager and download the new version which was just released recently. Now just copy the new version in the documents/mod folder, enable them in the in game mod manager and there you go problem solved.

So I have to create new profile and load mods in that? What if I want to play my old profile in which I have all trucks and trailers? Will the mods work on my original profile?
I have downloaded all this but I can't seem to get the heavy cargo dlc to work. Is this possible with promods? Sorry if it's a silly question.
when i move the decompressed files into my mod folder it does not show up in the mod manager
I applied both google map for promods and normal version on the top. It's works well but crash when I zoom in and out the world map. what can i do for fix it? I also have 3mod about zoom problem

sorting the load order is labourious work, is it possible to edit a file in the games directory instead?

When downloading and unpacking, I noticed there's a "DLC support" , what is that for? Also, since 1.47, i'm not able to full zoom in the map without the game crashing, i found some steamworkshop patches that fixes the issue but make the map very low quality. Have you experienced this too? Have you found a work around?
The DLC support is for the new trailer packs. If you don’t have them you don’t need the DLC support file.

Thank you for this video. I already purchased the Euro Truck Simulator 2 from Steam platform, do I have to buy a separate one for ProMods platform? Also, I tried the process you explained in the video but unfortunately, it did not work. All the SCS files were showing "Red" in the Mod Manager. Specifically, I saw this message: Some DLCs which are required by this mod are missing. Make sure you have all of them installed and activated. dlc_east, dlc_north, dlc_fr, dlc_it, dlc_balt, dlc_balkan_e, dlc_iberia. Do I need to also buy all of them before i can activate? I am new in this stuff.
@MilanTrucker I paid 20 Euros to purchase the game on Steam and then after coming across your video, I paid almost 2 Euros for the ProMods for quick download and activation. yet it was showing red and not activated on Mod Manager. Am I missing something?

Yes. You can have multiple profiles. I have one Original with no mods to play MP or vanilla. I have one promods profile and a tone of other profiles with mods and maps

No, after downloading you don't need to create a new profile. Just load in the new files and it should be fine 😉👍

the first pro mods file is downloading as rar file for me everytime, and iam unable to extract it as it says cannot archive or corrupt archive, PLEASE HELP.
It is like that, but you need to download all the other parts that will download like .7z.002, .7z.003 etc, then you extract the .rar file to Docs\ETS2\mods
If that doesn't work, check if your antivirus is blocking any archive

It says when i try to equip the mods its says:mod is incompatable with curent game version you canot activate it. Whyyyyyyyy😢
You need to make sure the mods u want to use see if it is compatible with your game version

You need to check if you have the promods version to the game version you have. See it in the list of the link I provided in the description. If you still cant do it. Hop on the discord server, we will help you

No its not required , but you can play also promods

They always update to the new version, but it takes weeks. Sometimes they put what is in the works in the download page

You can in the compability page. There are the links. Make sure u download the promods version for the game version you have
