Hi Lisa, thanks for watching and yes I’m definitely on the mend. Ally and I got back on the road yesterday. I think it’s time that she had a bit of a rest so we’ve pulled up by a beach for a few days of relaxing.
Thankyou for your wonderful explanation of this terrible disease. I have my psa checked every 12 months to be safe. As you explained you had no idea till the doctor gave you the bad news. Hope your recovery continues to give you the best life outcome.
Hi Greg, thanks for watching. Yes you’re 100% correct mate. You don’t know until the doctor tells you but you’ll never find out unless you visit the doctor. I’m well and truly on the mend now and Ally and I started back on the road yesterday.
Bloody great video mate. I had prostate cancer in mid 2022 and had it removed in Dec 22. I was having PSA tests on a regular basis so it was picked up straight away. My physio was brilliant and I think he was the biggest help in pre surgery and post recovery. Those exercises are without a doubt the most important thing to do. DVA paid for all of my stuff so I had no worries about the costs, specialists etc. I also went with the robotic thing as I was 62 and the chemo thing as you explained would have cut me off from any future surgeries. I detailed my journey with all m y military mates and made sure they all go for those annual PSA tests.
Thanks for watching mate, you’re 100% right about the Physio pre and post surgery I think I’d be in a very different situation if I didn’t do it. I also shared the video with a lot of my old army mates and I was surprised about the amount of blokes our age who have either had it or have been recently diagnosed with it and of course quite a few who have never been checked. I hope the video encourages other men to get themselves checked regularly as well.
Well done Steve, absolutely brilliant video. I am a registered nurse and can’t express just how impressed I am that you felt able to share your journey through a very scary (for most men) diagnosis, treatment and recovery. I am sure you will have helped many men.! Wishing you continued success in your recovery, take care. Maybe see you on the road somewhere one day, Rae
Thank you John, those are very encouraging words from a nurse and as I said in the video my hope is to reach out to at least one person who watches the video. We (as men) leave too much on the inside, it unfortunate that many men see it as a “sign of weakness” to talk about health related issues. Yes! I’m always up for a beer and chat on the road, safe travels
Congratulations Steve. You have a great way of communicating your experience and your message is on point. Wishing you well on your recovery. I hope you and Ally get out there and enjoy your travels as soon as possible. We look forward to your next destination.
Hi Janice , thank you and thanks for watching. Everything is going ahead very well now and I’m healing quite well. Ali and I started back on the road yesterday. It’s definitely time for her to have a break because she’s been working pretty hard. Over the last three months she’s either been looking after me or working at Woolworths to keep paying the bills.
Thanks Steve for taking the time to explain this in normal, plain English and your usual no BS way. We’re so pleased you’re on the other side of it. And a great reminder to live life to the full. And shout out to Alison for looking after you
Thank you, Ally has been amazing, she spent all her waking hours looking after me and when she wasn’t she was at working at Woolworths to keep the money rolling in. We left Brisbane yesterday and she looked absolutely exhausted so we’ve set up near the beach so she can take a few days and let me look after her for awhile
Steve, bloody brilliant!!! Glad you are making a speedy recovery. I am also a survivor as I think I said before. I hope everybody watches this and does something about it. Thank God for modern medicine. Look forward to you and Alison being back on the road as soon as possible.
Thanks David I’m very happy you’re doing well. Thank god for modern medicine alright, I would never have known without it. Ally and I hit the road again yesterday. Take care
Hi Steve. I hope you're recovery is well under way and you are back on the road. This is an exceptional video and one which most men should watch. It is very informative and to the point and I must say, very well articulated. I congratulate you on this presentation. Many thanks.
Hi Michael, thank you for your kind words and thank you for watching. I tried to put the video in a language that I would feel comfortable listening to and hopefully that appeals to a lot of other men but more importantly I really hope I was able to reach out to at least one person who was watching, so that they might go and get themselves tested just to make sure they have the same disease. Cheers mate.
Wow Steve you are a true champion. You explained your prostrate journey so completely. We watch your channel regularly and feel like we know you guys as friends. You have shot this hideous cancer down. Thank you firstly for your great content every week. But most of all thank you for your explanation of what to execpt If this raises its head. Keep up the travelling, give Ally cat a big kiss and forward from here. !😅😅 Regards Steve & Sharon Butler
Hi Steve and Sharon thank you and we are very very happy that you enjoyed the video. It’s an awful disease and it certainly needs to be spoken about in a more public forum. We just hope that we’re able to reach out to at least one person so they go and get themselves tested. I’m looking forward to giving Alison a big kiss for you. Cheers Steve
Thanks for sharing Steve, if I need to tell my story, I’ll just play your vid, there’s nothing I would have to change in your story to tell mine. Found my PSA high Nov 2023, couldn’t got into see urologist till Feb this year, all the same scans, biopsies etc, and a week after that, it was out, 25th March to be exact, and the recovery 100% like you explain, I turned 61 last April so same age as well, only thing is there is no family history of it for me but everything else you explain is 100% what I went through, last 2 blood tests carried out is classed as PSA Undetected, less than 0.001. Just working on the ED now, if it starts working again, good, if it doesn’t then that’s the way it is but we are still alive and that’s the main thing. Well said buddy and very accurate. Cheers mate Dennis
Thanks Dennis and thank you for sharing your story mate, 100% right mate you don’t need a family history to get prostate cancer it just one of those diseases that affects anyone. Itseems as if we’ve both had our worlds flipped on their heads in the last 10 months. I’m the same mate I stopped leaking a few days after the catheter came out and now it’s just the ED but I have a lot in life and I’m very happy to be here so as you said if it never gets any better it’s not the main thing.
After surviving cancer on five separate occasions i have full bloods and a care nurse visit every six months. Trust me cancer is bloody serious so lixxten to Steve and get checked. Good luck with your recovery mate.Cheers😊
Hi Leon I hope you’re doing well mate? Your right cancer is very bloody serious and the worse thing is most people don’t know they have it until it’s too late.
I hope utube doesn’t de monetise this video and thank you and Alison for making this video. I had my psa test about 3 months ago and all good but I’m 72 and had to ask my doctor to get the test, I try every year to have one. Get better and get back on the road mate.
Hi John thank you mate, UA-cam haven’t done anything yet 🤞it doesn’t hurt to get tested as I said I’ve been getting tested since I was 40 and it took 20 years for something to change, hopefully not for you. I’m happy to say Ally and I hit the road again yesterday
G’day Steve Just caught up with your last two videos as have been o/s. Your “prostate cancer” video was terrific and I only hope that at least one bloke takes heed and gets tested properly. I was a bit similar to yourself 13 years ago and didn’t hesitate to have the prostate removed after diagnosis, (but was cut from arsehole to breakfast) to remove, but after an 8 hr op (😵💫) all was done. As a 58 year old it was an unwanted complication to life, but had no hesitation in going for surgery. Too much of Oz still to see, and you can’t do that if you’re dead, and that can be the result if not addressed. Again, well done mate, and wishing you a speedy recovery. cheers Pete
Hi Peter thanks for watching mate, your experience sounds the same as my fathers, he had his done 20 years ago but you’re 100% correct there is to much of Oz to explore. Getting it out for me was a no brainer (like you) just get on with life. Safe travels mate
Great video Steve. Lots of important info. I started my Prostate Cancer journey in December 2015, with the Prostate removed in early 2016. Unfortunately the cancer had escaped the Prostate and by 2020 it had metastasized in eight spots. I’ve had Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy and a trial of immunotherapy, which did not deliver any positive results. That being said, I’m on hormone depletion (testosterone) treatment which has held my PSA at
Hi Mick, you’ve left me in two minds mate I’m sorry to hear that your cancer has spread but at the same time I’m happy to hear that your Oncologist has said it’s stable for the foreseeable future. I must admit mate my biggest fear is your journey, that it metastasises in the future but like you I’ll cross that bridge if I have to. Maybe we’ll see each other on the road, safe travels. Steve
My journey started 2021 at 62 years with my gp wasn't happy with my psa, so a biopsy was completed Oct 2021, which indicated cancer cells in my prostate. I decided to go down the prostate removal, which happened in the public system in May 2022, then after 8 weeks recovery it was back to psa tests every 3 months. By October 2023 my psa was still not low enough, so i ended up having 7 weeks of radiation therapy every day Mon - Fri. Excellent treatment by the staff at the Royal Adelaide hospital. Went back to 3 months of testing and now it appears to be ok, so out to 6 months testing. Excellent complete explanation Steve, as i had the same journey. Regards Kym. Please check your state public health system as you will be surprised at the low cost of your treatment.
Thank you for watching Kym, yes the public system is wonderful I only went private because I was told it was my only option for robotic surgery here in QLD and that the DVA was paying the bill. Of course as you said different states have different services. I hope you continue down the road to full recovery and that the radiation therapy rids you of this insidious disease once and for all.
That was good listening . I had it done Keyhole 20 yrs ago in Melbourne a Dr Joe Costello who was the pioneer of key hole surgery . Small problems only with ED and leaking but used it till about 3 years ago . Only problem is when I drink like a fish , know when I’ve had enough the tank runs over 😂 No Other problems PSA always 0. Thanks for the story and wish you the same good health for the future ! I’m 78 now.
Thank you for doing this wonderful video Steve. It was very informative and straight forward. My hubby said he has been having his PSA levels checked for 35 years, after his father passed away from prostate cancer. Back in those days, there were not as many treatment options as there are today. It is a shame that some men are put off by a finger up the bum, as us women are used to many more invasive procedures. 😮 A big thank you for highlighting the link between prostate and breast cancer, we never knew this. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Ken & Kerry
Thank you so much, I’m really happy you enjoyed the video. That’s fantastic that Ken is regularly checked and yes the treatment options seem to be getter better
Thank you for sharing such a personal and difficult experience. I too had an incidental finding on CT showing a mass on my kidney. Thankfully kidney removed 9 years ago and all good but without the CT (for another reason) who knows. We complain about our health system but without we be stuffed. The shame of it is that if I went public the outcome would have been much worse and that’s hard for people who can’t afford private or have other support mechanisms to assist with costs. I know I am grateful. Thank you again Mark.
Thank you Mark, isn’t it amazing you go in with one problem and leave with another but as you said we can complain about the health system but you and me both would have been stuffed without it. Stay well mate and thanks for watching
Thank you Steve you are a true legend for sharing your journey on this topic it was a courageous effort, I was on the edge of my seat listening to you the whole time. I've just turned 55 so I'm straight to the doctor to discuss this topic (I can't afford to lose any length😂) Love your channel Take care Mate cheers Dave
Hey mate thanks for watching, I’m really happy you enjoyed it and I’ve encouraged you to speak with your GP and as for the shrinkage….. you and me both lol
Thanks Steve, There's a lot to watch on YT but your video is one of the most important I've seen in a long while. Thanks for being so upfront with your experiences. It really does pay to talk about mens health and not hide it away. Glad your outcome has been positive so far - may your health continue to improve. Also pleased to hear that DVA ponied up for the bill - as they should. Stay well and please keep the videos rolling out. Best, Paul
Thank you mate, I found it very hard to get some info on YT so I thought making a vid that deals with my journey from start to end may help out a few other men who don’t feel comfortable talking about it. We were about to go public for the operation when someone told about the DVA process. I’m glad they did. I’m really happy you enjoyed the video mate
Thank you, Steve, for your video. I am grateful for your detailed explanation. I was having annual psa, but my gp in qld said that after 70, Medicare will only cover a test every two years . I have BPH and a couple of years ago I had a urolift procedure
Hello Jeff thank you for watching mate. I was unaware of Medicare only covering a test every two years after you were 70. I will do some further research and I’ll get back to you.
Thank you Steve,as always a straight forward down to earth and plain English description of the subject matter.Well done to you both for your respective roles through this, I think you have helped a lot of people navigate through the same journey if they need to.Safe travels as always.👍
Thank you Phillip, I think it’s a very important subject and I always try a word things the way I’d like to hear them from someone else, so getting your feedback makes it all very worthwhile
Thank you Steve for sharing your journey honestly and so clearly! This brought tears to my eyes as I recounted my own journey last year. This video needs to be share with men everywhere!, We'll done my brother!!
Thanks Steve absolutely brilliant explanation of your prostatectomy ,we are so pleased to hear your recovery has been good. Have followed you from day one on your adventures around this great country. Enjoyed every one of your video’s but this one was remarkable. Paula and Graeme.
Great work mate. Excellent video full of facts, and honesty. I get my psa done every year, but have started noticing a few of the symptoms you talked about, so will be going back this next week. Fingers(and balls) crossed.😂😂
Hi mate thanks for watching. Yeah it doesn’t hurt to get checked particularly if you think you’re starting to notice a few symptoms and you made me laugh with your fingers and your balls crossed very funny. I hope all is well.
Good on you Steve Great video Good support & understanding goes a long way & having that support from your partner makes a big difference mentally for sure
Hi Ivan, thanks for watching. This would be a very hard thing to deal with on your own and I know that’s the case for many men, I’ve truly been very lucky with the love and support I’ve received not only from Allison and my family but also from all of the wonderful people who watch our channel
Thank you, Lisa and I’m sorry for your loss. It is such a hard disease to deal with because most men don’t even know they have it. Hopefully this video encourages a few other fellas to go out and get themselves checked.
I watched your video with interest as I’ve been a prostate cancer sufferer. I just wanted to clarify one thing I chose radiation specifically HDR Brachytherapy the side effects from this treatment is probably the least of other forms. But the quote if you have radiation you cannot have anymore at a later date . Now I was treated 7 years ago at 60 and last year the cancer came back . They now do salvage radiation so I’ve been radiated again with no problems. Also if you do the research you will see the chances of the cancer returning is about the same wether it’s radiation or surgery also as this procedure was performed in a public hospital the cost to me was zero.
Hi Mark, I hope you are well. I quickly went back and watched that portion of the video again and in the video I said that if I had the radiation therapy I couldn’t go back and have my Prostate removed but I understand that if I opted only for radiation therapy there was an opportunity to have radiation therapy again in the future, for me at my age the doctors strongly suggested that I removed it and if it ever come back, I would then start radiation therapy. I hope that clarifies that for you mate. In relation to cost, yes, the public system is free and that is the system that I would’ve chosen if I was not covered by the DVA for the surgery. The costs I spoke in the video were for the private hospital. Thank you for watching mate
Thanks so much for putting this up. I've seen so many videos while I wait for my surgery, but yours is the best end to end explanation I've seen. Your story is practically a mirror image of mine, so far. As a Pom, I love your straight-talking Aussie-ness style. All the best with your continuing recovery, I subbed and will watch your travel vlogs. Cheers.
Thank you and thanks for watching the one part of the video that I wanted to put in but forgot to say was to share this with all of your friends and family but you’ve said it very well.
Wow Steve well done for doing amazing video showing and the awareness around this topic. You are legend for doing this. Awesome mate . Stay well and happy travels
Thank you Mark, when I was going through the treatment phase I found it quite difficult to find simple information to help me and Allison better understand the process so hopefully I’ve achieved something that might make other men feel at ease with
Hi Mick and Jody, thank you. Things are going very well and Ally and I are back on the road. It’s time to give Allison a rest so we pulled up by a beach where she can sit around and do nothing until she’s ready to move on.
Thanks Steve. We've just watched your video. I went through those procedures almost 4 years ago and I've been doing fine since recovery. Hell of an experience but you get through it eh! Glad to be alive and travelling. You presented this so well. Cheers.
Thanks mate that was great I’m a watch and wait been 6 years had all your tests clear at the moment now you can get back to your trips which we enjoy cheers to you both
Hi Glenn it’s good to hear that you’re still on the watch and wait. It’s probably the option that I would’ve preferred but unfortunately the doctors had a different idea. I hope things continue well for you in the future mate.
Thank you mate, it’s good to hear that you’re getting checked. It’s definitely better to be safe than sorry, I spoken with so many men lately who have or had Prostate Cancer and like me didn’t know that anything was wrong. All the best mate
Thank you Douglas I’m feeling really well and Ally and I are back on the road and hopefully will never have to deal with this again other than my regular blood tests
Many thanks Steve. I'll be giving the GP a call on Monday. My dad had PC. I really should be more proactive. I hope everything goes well for you. P.S. Love your channel
Hi mate thanks for watching, I think regular testing is a bit of an insurance policy particularly when your dad, like mine had prostate cancer. We both have a heightened risk and it’s peace of mind knowing. As I’m sure you know the early they find anything the better it is for you
Have subscribed to yr channel I went through a a similar experience 3 years ago but had surgery the old school way ,under the dr's reccomdation..Just wanna say what a great bloody video....For all to see We also are caravaners if I ever bump into you on a adventure...I'd like to shake yr hand...GREAT WORK...KEEP GOIN...
Good on you Steveo, very brave to speak about your journey, hopefully this video will prompt both males & females watching to get checked, blood tests, mammogram. Onwards and upwards mate.
What an amazing video. Thank you so very much for your honesty and great information. Stay safe and we hope your recovery goes well. Allison sounds like a definite blessing and gift. Look after each other and safe travels. ❤
Well done Steve. I too have prostate cancer without any symptoms. Unfortunately when I was diagnosed it had already spread to some local lymph node.meaning surgery was not an option. I had chemotherapy instead - that was 4 years ago. Continued testing will be a thing for the rest of my life. The more we men talk about this insidious disease the better.
Thanks for watching mate, I hope you’re doing well. I think I was very very lucky that it was found very early. It’s definitely something that more men to talk about particularly the way it sneaks up on you with any noticeable symptoms. Stay well mate
My late husband had no symptoms, just by getting a medical it was found his psa was very high 26. He had a complete removal, it’s a terrible disease for everyone in the marriage. That was in 2012 he passed away in 2021 with stomach cancer
I’m very sorry to hear that, my dad was diagnosed the same way he was having a blood test for work and that’s when they discovered his and as you said he had no symptoms whatsoever
thanks mate, great show. unfortunately I had my prostate removed 8 years ago. It has left me with a permanent leak requiring pads to be worn. life sucks sometimes.
Sorry to hear that mate, I spoke with my Physio and he mentioned a procedure you can have to assist with ongoing leakage. I’ll get some more info if you’re interested. Stay well
Hi from the uk you are doing well to all men go and get a psa test at 53 i had a psa off 20.58 and stage 3tb prostate cancer . I was fit and well so get the test . At xmas i will be 58 had an rp plus rad and psa is on the way up again .
Hi Steve and Alison, finally got a chance to check this out on a rainy Sat morning! Excellent video mate and wonderful to meet you both and assist you on this journey. With almost 1 in 5 Australian men going to be diagnosed, this very easy to understand, step by step guide will help many more men and their families. Well done on an excellent recovery and excellent video. Enjoy you travels. Happy to assist other men and answer questions, easiest via email. Talk soon, Cheers!
Hi Mick, I’ve met a few fellas this year with enlarged prostates and like you their doctors aren’t to concerned ATM but please keep an eye on it mate because as I found out things can change very quickly
Hi Mick, you’re right mate. Not every doctor will request a PSA test when you’re having a blood test so it’s always wise to ask them to include it even if you don’t have a family history but every 2 years for men would be fantastic regardless of your age.
hhmm, wish i hadn't watched this, good though it is, i was quite hopeful before but my figures are all 10 times what yours were. so obviously too late for me. good that others will benefit though
Hi mate thanks for watching, my decision to go ahead with the surgery was based on family history and a desire to put it behind me. Since posting the video I’ve been contacted by 100s of men who had much higher PSA and Gleeson scores than mine including a good friend and as recently as last week my step brother. Don’t lose faith mate, one day at a time
That’s a fantastic question, I didn’t want to have surgery at the very beginning but after a lot of research and many questions to my doctors and family I made the choice to remove it. I knew there would be consequences but in the end I think I made the right decision because the cancer was growing and I didn’t want it to escape into my body. Ultimately the decision will always be made by the person but I think it’s important that it’s an informed choice
Every bloke in the country should watch this. Thanks Steve, legend.
Yes, even if there is no family history of it, I had not family history of it and went through exactly the same experience as Steve earlier this year
Thank you, Dave. You’re too kind, mate.
Thanks for sharing your whole experience.
No worries! I’m glad you enjoyed it
Well done putting this episode together… should be compulsory viewing ❤
Thank you Jenny I’m really happy you enjoyed it
Excellent video every man should watch.
Thank you I’m so happy you enjoyed the video
Steve, so glad you are on the mend. Thank you for sharing. This was very informative and you explained the whole process so simply.
Hi Lisa, thanks for watching and yes I’m definitely on the mend. Ally and I got back on the road yesterday. I think it’s time that she had a bit of a rest so we’ve pulled up by a beach for a few days of relaxing.

Now Spike and I have matching scars

Thanks Steve ,great info
Thank you mate, thanks for watching
A mate of mine had his prostate out 8 years ago and he has never looked back. My PSA is very low so all good. :)
Thanks mate, the best advice I received through out the whole process was to get it out and move on with your life. I’m so glad I did

So glad you have had a good result and got it early. You spoke so well through this mate it should be used as an educational video. 👍👍👍
Thank you mate, I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to make such a personal video but it’s too important not to share and talk about
G’day Steve
Just caught up with your last two videos as have been o/s.
Again, well done mate, and wishing you a speedy recovery.
cheers
Pete
Hi Peter thanks for watching mate, your experience sounds the same as my fathers, he had his done 20 years ago but you’re 100% correct there is to much of Oz to explore. Getting it out for me was a no brainer (like you) just get on with life. Safe travels mate
Good on you for making this important video. Looks like a few thousand people have watched 👌🏻
Thank you mate I really appreciate it and I hope that other men will go out and get themselves checked
Thanks for sharing such a comprehensive yarn, much appreciated! All strength for your ongoing recovery. And happy travels 👍
Hi Frank thank you mate, all is going well🤓
Great video Steve.
I had it done Keyhole 20 yrs ago in Melbourne
a Dr Joe Costello who was the pioneer of key hole surgery .
Small problems only with ED and leaking but used it till about 3 years
ago . Only problem is when I drink like a fish , know when I’ve had enough
the tank runs over 😂 No Other problems PSA always 0.
Thanks for the story and wish you the same good health for the future !
I’m 78 now.
Hi Richard thank you for watching, I’m glad you’re well mate and your PSA has stayed at zero. I’m looking forward to recovering from the ED lol
Wishing you a speedy recovery and well done for sharing,
Thank you John, we are back on the road today
Fantastic video, Steve. It was very informative. So glad that the surgery was a success. Take care, Maree and John.
Thank you Maree and John, I’m recovering very well and Ally and I started back on the road yesterday.
@ we loved how in depth you were . Every man should watch it! Safe travels ❤️
Thank you Steve you are a true legend for sharing your journey on this topic it was a courageous effort, I was on the edge of my seat listening to you the whole time. I've just turned 55 so I'm straight to the doctor to discuss this topic (I can't afford to lose any length😂)
Love your channel
Take care Mate
cheers Dave
Hey mate thanks for watching, I’m really happy you enjoyed it and I’ve encouraged you to speak with your GP and as for the shrinkage….. you and me both lol
Thank you for that informative video.
Much appreciated
Hi, thank you mate. That is very much appreciated. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video.
This video needs to be share with men everywhere!,
We'll done my brother!!
Thank you mate, there was a few moments when I was filming on my own that I lost it a bit, particularly when I thought about the impact on Allison
Thanks Steve absolutely brilliant explanation of your prostatectomy ,we are so pleased to hear your recovery has been good. Have followed you from day one on your adventures around this great country. Enjoyed every one of your video’s but this one was remarkable. Paula and Graeme.
Thank you, originally I wasn’t sure if I would share my journey but I think it’s too important not to. Thank you for your kind words and support
Good on you Steve
Great video
Good support & understanding goes a long way
& having that support from your partner makes a big difference mentally for sure
Hi Ivan, thanks for watching. This would be a very hard thing to deal with on your own and I know that’s the case for many men, I’ve truly been very lucky with the love and support I’ve received not only from Allison and my family but also from all of the wonderful people who watch our channel
Very informative. Great news that you are well. Thank you for sharing. Take care 😊
Thank you Vicki
Thankyou so much for sharing your experience. I lost my dad to prostrate cancer.
Thank you, Lisa and I’m sorry for your loss. It is such a hard disease to deal with because most men don’t even know they have it. Hopefully this video encourages a few other fellas to go out and get themselves checked.
GOOD ON YOU MATE LOOK AFTER YOURSELF
Thank you
Thanks for sharing your experience and glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery.
Thank you recovery is going very well. Ally and I are back on the road.
Cheers.
Hi mate thanks for watching I’m really happy you were able to get something out of video before your surgery, I hope everything goes well for you mate
Forward this to your husband, sons, fathers, uncles, nephews, brothers, mates and to their mates too 👍🏽
Thank you and thanks for watching the one part of the video that I wanted to put in but forgot to say was to share this with all of your friends and family but you’ve said it very well.
Thank you for a fantastic video.
Tony
Thank you Tony and thanks for watching. I’m really glad that you enjoyed it.
Wow Steve well done for doing amazing video showing and the awareness around this topic. You are legend for doing this. Awesome mate . Stay well and happy travels
Thank you Mark, when I was going through the treatment phase I found it quite difficult to find simple information to help me and Allison better understand the process so hopefully I’ve achieved something that might make other men feel at ease with
So well explained Steve! Well done & all the best mate. Mick & Jodie from the Gong
Cheers.
Hi Peter thanks for watching it’s very good to hear you’re going well, safe travels mate
Thank you for this information, I'm definitely making my appointment, your courage to do this is awesome
Thank you mate, it’s good to hear that you’re getting checked. It’s definitely better to be safe than sorry, I spoken with so many men lately who have or had Prostate Cancer and like me didn’t know that anything was wrong. All the best mate
Thank you so much for your video definitely appreciate everything you have discussed, wish you a speedy recovery .
Thank you Douglas I’m feeling really well and Ally and I are back on the road and hopefully will never have to deal with this again other than my regular blood tests
Thanks for sharing. Very informative
Thank you I’m very happy you enjoyed the episode
Thanks for sharing yourbjourney Steve, was very interesting to hear the procedure. Wishing you a full and easy recovery.
5hank you very much I’m really happy you enjoyed the video
Thank you mate it’s definitely a topic a lot of us don’t talk about. I hope you’ve recovered well
Good on you Steveo, very brave to speak about your journey, hopefully this video will prompt both males & females watching to get checked, blood tests, mammogram. Onwards and upwards mate.
Thank you, mate and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. That was my only hope that it would result in more people men and women getting tested.
What an amazing video. Thank you so very much for your honesty and great information. Stay safe and we hope your recovery goes well. Allison sounds like a definite blessing and gift. Look after each other and safe travels. ❤
Thank you, Allison has been absolutely amazing. My recovery is going very well we started back on the road a few days ago
Thanks Steve bloody terrific very informative. 👍🏾

Great video Steve. Wishing you well for the future and thanks for sharing.

Hi Aaron, thank you mate. I’m looking forward to my man hug.😀
That was such a great, informative video. Thanks for putting it out Steve and Ally. Best wishes for the future to you both.
Thanks guys we’re really happy you enjoyed the video, recovery is going well and we started back on the road a few days ago
Lovely ep and chat.
thank you mate I’m really happy you enjoyed the episode
Well done Steve. I too have prostate cancer without any symptoms. Unfortunately when I was diagnosed it had already spread to some local lymph node.meaning surgery was not an option. I had chemotherapy instead - that was 4 years ago. Continued testing will be a thing for the rest of my life. The more we men talk about this insidious disease the better.
Thanks for watching mate, I hope you’re doing well. I think I was very very lucky that it was found very early. It’s definitely something that more men to talk about particularly the way it sneaks up on you with any noticeable symptoms. Stay well mate
Thanks for sharing your journey, mate. It was very well explained.
Thank you I appreciate your support
My late husband had no symptoms, just by getting a medical it was found his psa was very high 26. He had a complete removal, it’s a terrible disease for everyone in the marriage. That was in 2012 he passed away in 2021 with stomach cancer
I’m very sorry to hear that, my dad was diagnosed the same way he was having a blood test for work and that’s when they discovered his and as you said he had no symptoms whatsoever
Wow Steve. Very informative and eye-opening. Thanks so much for sharing. Good to know.
Thank you I’m really happy you enjoyed the video and I appreciate your support
Well done. Thanks for the Warts & All explanation. 👏👏👍
Thanks mate, I tried to explain all the things I experienced and some of the things that not many men talk about
Well done Steve, thanks for the info.
Thank you mate you’re very welcome
Thanks so much for sharing your story so important for men to hear
Thank you mate
Great video Steve.Thanks for sharing
Thank you
thanks mate, great show. unfortunately I had my prostate removed 8 years ago. It has left me with a permanent leak requiring pads to be worn. life sucks sometimes.
Sorry to hear that mate, I spoke with my Physio and he mentioned a procedure you can have to assist with ongoing leakage. I’ll get some more info if you’re interested. Stay well
Amazing video thanks for sharing your story
Thank you Wendy

THANK YOU STEVE
Thank you for watching John
Hi Steve and Alison, finally got a chance to check this out on a rainy Sat morning!
Excellent video mate and wonderful to meet you both and assist you on this journey.
With almost 1 in 5 Australian men going to be diagnosed, this very easy to understand, step by step guide will help many more men and their families.
Well done on an excellent recovery and excellent video. Enjoy you travels.
Happy to assist other men and answer questions, easiest via email. Talk soon, Cheers!
Thank you mate, I’m off to see the boys in Canberra today, thank you for your help and support it’s paid off big time
Hope all is OK with you
I ve been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate and am booked into specialist next January
My GP isn't concerned about it now.
Hi Mick, I’ve met a few fellas this year with enlarged prostates and like you their doctors aren’t to concerned ATM but please keep an eye on it mate because as I found out things can change very quickly
The govt change the rules for having the PSA tests done yearly to every 2 years..
If theres no history
Don’t lose faith mate, one day at a time
In your case it was unnecessary at this stage, you could have treated it without the operation.
