You re a natural teacher! Your voice is clear, perfect cadence and annunciation. You have obvious passion for your art (which is truly that) but you are almost equally a talented instructor. Fantastic editing also...you and the girls should have your own TV show!
As a beginning woodworker who works out of a tiny shop (garage), I want to thank you for this video and project. It's encouraging as a beginner to see a master build something simple, yet so elegant, and gives me confidence that I can too!
Think its pretty cool you have the whole family in the shop with you.. Owning your own business, teaching your children a skill, and having them work with you. it dont get much better than that.
James. Your program channel is the best carpentry videos I've ever seen and I'm into my 70s you have a fantastic work force. It's great to see your young family leaning the trade by The master carpenter, "magic" I'm addicted to your videos so please keep them coming...
i totally agree about getting the kids involved. I like to start screws and then have my son (6) and daughter (4) drive them home. You go through a few extra bits but so what. Good bonding is far more important then a few driver bits!! I really like the table. So much classier then a picnic table.
That is beautifully James. Thank you. Im retired and just getting into wood working and i love it. Im raising my great-grandson and youve given me a good idea about including him and teaching him woodworking. I love how you include your girls and its great that they enjoy it. Again, tha k you
It's great that your daughters are close by so that they can work with you. My two daughters are great wood workers but they live hundreds of miles away.
I'm watching, and very much enjoying your videos from South Africa and because of our whether out here, we just love the outdoors … ! This table will fit right in for that purpose and as a retiree beginner woodworker, I'm certainly going to give it a try with a "Circular Saw & a Drill" and plenty screws. Another great family project James and well done. Looks super great !!
This is truly King's FINE Woodworking. I purchased a mallot for myself this past Christmas. I was really impressed by the beauty and quality. Much better than I expected and I expected a lot. It's so beautiful in fact, that I don't want to use it but hang it in the shop as a trophy piece. These folks are true professionals. This is why I subscribed and return to watch each and every video.
James, I love that you care so much about esthetics. That truly is the separation between a good job and a beautiful job. I also love that you include your girls in the shop. Woodworking is an awesome skill and I am so happy they want to be a part of it. I love your channel and I am a subscriber!
It's been nice getting caught up on all your previous content. So easy to follow and nice to see your whole family involved. Not to mention the great projects. But it'll be a sad day when 'the photo-bomber' retires.
I love watching u n fam do these projects my kids are still little but when they’re bigger definitely gonna have them do projects w me. Family time is everything is something I’ve realized as I matured into a family man. Family time wasn’t stressed enough when I was coming up !
love your videos and the most important thing is how you work together with your family. keep it like that all the times. table came up so nice, waiting to see video for the benches.
New to woodworking, new to your channel, 1st time commenting. I like the way you speak to your viewers, you don't "over-explain" like some others do. Simple, direct, easy to follow. As soon as the weather get better, I'll be back out in the shop ruining some lumber...
Your commentary is always great! I like your comments on how to get your kids involved in the shop. You explain things so well, with beautiful results. If I needed a picnic table, I'd build it. I may try that Watco finish on some planters just to see how it holds up.
Thanks for the great project. Really appreciate all your very well produced videos. Very well documented with all the links to find everything needed for the project. I especially like projects like this that you can build with the big box lumber and regular tools which is more doable for those of us who love woodworking but have to stay in the budget :)
Beautiful table!! Thanks for teaching your girls a trade that is usually dominated by males. You have given them a skill that will help them be independent for their lives.
I'm always baffled at how people can watch a step-by-step how-to video and then also need plans. Worth buying to support the channel, I guess. Anyway, nice table and excellent video as always.
James you are so great you Rival Norm Abram
who cares how much glue did he use, but you see how he keeps the family together?
do you think he needs the glue for thet?
Norm who?

You are too kind. Thank you.

The KFW group is great! Very positive and helpful!
Thank you! That’s very kind of you to say.

Nice project. One that your average weekender (like me) could feel comfortable tackling. Thx James!

Very nice build, and the table is very pleasing to look at.
I also got to say, you do a very nice job in your narration as well.

I agree on using the wood with knots and "defects". I like wood with character.
5 girls, I hope you have your own bathroom. My poor father-in-law had 5 girls and he had to build his own. I love the table, great job!

What a beautiful table. I really like the way you teach too 👍
I like the proportions of the table legs and trestle.

Thanks so much for this video. This is perfect for my skill level and toolset.
great job guys, it's nice to see you all involved
Awesome work & it’s miles better than a standard picnic table
I love the color of the table. It's really beautiful. Great job.
I've subscribed a long time ago and really enjoy your videos. Please keep them coming and I'll keep watching. Glad to see your success.
Excellent woodwork, a little hard to follow for a ordinary person like myself. Vocabulary and getting a mental image. I am willing to learn !
Noticed that you have very good power tools.
Your commentary is always great! I like your comments on how to get your kids involved in the shop. You explain things so well, with beautiful results. If I needed a picnic table, I'd build it. I may try that Watco finish on some planters just to see how it holds up.

I know that when you and your family build something, it will be top notch. Never disappointed. Thanks, James.

I would build this as a Dining room table (with a bit more on the top being one big piece but still) I love how your mind works on these projects!

Beautiful table!! Thanks for teaching your girls a trade that is usually dominated by males. You have given them a skill that will help them be independent for their lives.
I love this outdoor table! It’s gorgeous 👍
Good family man.
That is probably the least amount of glue I've ever seen y'all use on a project. But I'm gonna have to build this now.
I agree! Exactly what I was thinking.
I kept waiting on the gallon of glue to be applied
So hard to get straight lumber from box store without milling. This turned out very nice 👍
Nice project
I'm always baffled at how people can watch a step-by-step how-to video and then also need plans. Worth buying to support the channel, I guess. Anyway, nice table and excellent video as always.
Some people just aren't as mechanically inclined as others
Very nice and informative video.
Bought plans to support channel! Keep up the great work.
