Working my way though my watch later playlist and this is reigniting my love for photography that I lost during the pandemic. Keep it up! Cant wait to binge the rest of your videos
Bangkok will always be special to me. my first asian experience, and I straight on loved it! can't wait to go back to Thailand and explore all those beautiful places It has to offer.
Oh man, I LOVED this vlog!! Amazing images (TOTAL Blade Runner vibes, as you said!) and when I saw that McIntosh audio gear my jaw hit the floor! Can't wait to see what's next!
Loving the weekly updates SO GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK!! Sorry, I needed to say that. Haha You are my inspiration for photographic topics etc and I’m so happy to see you and Elly out there again! Keep it up and can’t wait for the next one.
Awesome as always mate! Such a great vibe to the videos here in BKK!! Thanks again for a good walk and shoot this evening guys! Keep up the great work 👏👏
Ah man, it’s an issue for sure. At least on my end, I can finally see the analytics that show how many subscribers have notifications enabled (about 10%) and how many of those _also_ have notifications enabled on the UA-cam app via device settings (about 40% of the 10%). Double check your app/device settings to make sure UA-cam has permission to send notifications in the first place, unless of course you’re already getting notifications for other channels… 🤷🏻♂️
Great Vlog, I visited Bangkok in 1980! No Sky train then, but other aspects look unchanged. I remember going into a shop in bright sunlight, then being shocked to come out 10 mins later and it was night, like really dark, I guess that’s as it’s closer to the equator. Bought back some memories, so thank you 🙏
Superb, loved this one, every second of it. I never got chance to really do photography walk around on our last three visits, but this time I am going to bite the bullet. The Thai people are so friendly and wanting to please the whole time, so good that Elly got her A1 fixed. Thanks both. 👌🏻👍🏻
Havea look at “Global travel mate” he has some great videos where he shows a lot of interesting places. His latest shows a shot from siamscape skydeck which is open all day and is just one stop away from where we usually stay Ratchatewi. 🤣
I admire your fondness of Asia. This video makes me want to go back again and shoot some more! I was in Manila this past November for 5 weeks and Japan for a couple of days. It was fantastic and I can't wait to go back again. Keep up the good content.
About those blade runner vibes, I’ve recently seen a couple videos about Guangzhou and Shenzhen and its crazy how developed they both are. Must be close to Tokyo when it comes to feeling like you time traveled into the future.
If you took the sky-train North from Victory, after passing Mor Chit Station it goes very high up over the overpass roads at Ladphrao 5-way interstection. The biggest bend in the track is out near Bang Wa, where it goes round in a big arc to get to the station. The new MRT lines are also elevated trains, like The Purple Line and the exensions on The Blue Line. The monorail along Ladphrao from Ratchadaphisek which goes out to Bang Kapi and then down along Ramkhamhaeng ought to be finished by the end of this year I think, and The Pink Line which runs along Chaeng Wattana and I think will go out to Minburi. There's so much metro construction going on at the moment. The most recent lines to open were The Red Line and The Gold Line. I haven't even been on The Gold Line yet.
Love having the travel vlog series back, Bangkok looks fantastic but you're giving me serious wanderlust sitting here in London! Great to see you experimenting with the A-1 too, what film have you been shooting with out of interest??
I have an F 3 that needs servicing and the motor drive needs fixing, I will go to that Unit place. It must be a new place as it's not in the Complete guide to film photography in Bangkok. Thanks for the tip.
Hi Joe, and Elly, wow loved it all, some cool shots, love Bangkok as you said so much to see, and time just races away, loads of content here, very enjoyable, look forward to the next, Blade Runner look :) 😀
So much to see indeed! I’d love to know what percentage of ground we’ve covered. I’m sure it would still be abysmally low given how large Bangkok is haha
I adored this city - it was my first proper Asian city experience, and I travelled around for a month with the OG Fuji X100. I completely agree with the Blade Runner feel, such a unique aesthetic. Enjoyed this video as always 👍
Love the vibes that bar i swear that music was communicating ‘eat another burger’ or i’m just hungry I dunno but great bar and really like the what’s coming next outdo as well spot on 👍
Great work Joe ! nothing much to say, except that you are by far one of the most inspiring photographer. The duet you are making with Elly, is the bonus on your videos. I am so happy that you are back in Asia, we can feel that this where you belong, and where you love doing what you do. Bangkok is just an awesome city, and I am looking forward coming back there in August, we've stayed a month in Thailand last time, it will be shorter this time. I ave a question tough, the shop you went for the Canon A1, do sell analog camera ? I was thinking buying one there if I can. thank you so much for all the vids, and keep enjoying Bangkok.
As a German it is funny to see a big sign showing "Deutsche Bank" on that Building at almost the other side of the world :D You do great work Joe! You got an amazing style. Definately one of my most inspiring photographers on UA-cam :) Missed those travel vlogs.
love you video! hope one day you'll revisit Taiwan again here's a little question: do you use any tripod for talking head video or footage on the road?
Does walking around with a large backpack and X-T4 ever get noticed by people? I don't like to stick out like a photographer when I walk around, so take little gear with me and a small Fuji camera.
I love the X-Pro2, but I’d likely go for the X-Pro3 for the newer sensor if I got one. Though I’d be interested in just waiting to see how they evolve it for next time and see if they keep the inverted screen design.
Working my way though my watch later playlist and this is reigniting my love for photography that I lost during the pandemic. Keep it up! Cant wait to binge the rest of your videos
You do more actual photography than any other channel I’ve come across. Great work, thank you! Fuji 🖤
I appreciate that, thank you! Always striving to be out with my camera more than I’m behind a desk ✌️
Bangkok will always be special to me. my first asian experience, and I straight on loved it! can't wait to go back to Thailand and explore all those beautiful places It has to offer.
Nice one Joe! I enjoyed looking at the high vantage point shots of yours!
Cheers! I love a vantage point!
Love the low light train shot at 7:58 marker and the subsequent shot looking down on the yellow taxis. Interesting video :-)
Oh man, I LOVED this vlog!! Amazing images (TOTAL Blade Runner vibes, as you said!) and when I saw that McIntosh audio gear my jaw hit the floor! Can't wait to see what's next!
Great video and very nice photos, as always. I definitely enjoyed the good vibes.
Been really loving this series. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Loving the weekly updates SO GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK!!
Sorry, I needed to say that. Haha
You are my inspiration for photographic topics etc and I’m so happy to see you and Elly out there again!
Keep it up and can’t wait for the next one.
Thanks, Nitin! It’s been so great to be back out making travel videos. Feels like a whole new world to explore!
Great images, great urban vides! Also another great rooftop bar to add to the list :) thanks for sharing
Awesome as always mate! Such a great vibe to the videos here in BKK!! Thanks again for a good walk and shoot this evening guys! Keep up the great work 👏👏
I HATE how I have notifications on for your videos and I STILL get none.
Glad I decided to go to your channel on my own, awesome video!

Would have loved to have been on that photography shooting day with you. What a day, of adventure and capturing such good shots.
Enjoying the vlogs! Keeps me entertained at my day job!
Thanks man! They’ve been super fun to make and I’ve got so many coming up!
Loving this series and exploration of a wonderful city! Keep bringing them on :-)
Cheers! I’ve been out and about with my camera practically every day we’ve been in Bangkok, so there’s plenty more to come!

that's a long time ago I wonder how was it that day?

You should hire on of your Golf Caddies as a bag carrier! 24 f2 please! Great video glad you are still in BKK.
Hi Joe, and Elly, wow loved it all, some cool shots, love Bangkok as you said so much to see, and time just races away, loads of content here, very enjoyable, look forward to the next, Blade Runner look :) 😀

“If there was ever a city that gives off Bladerunner vibes, it would be Bangkok.” You forgot Hong Kong! Haha ;)
Keep up the good work
Great images mate. Why didn’t the r5 focus on your face during food scene??
nice sounds mixing in the video!
I adored this city - it was my first proper Asian city experience, and I travelled around for a month with the OG Fuji X100. I completely agree with the Blade Runner feel, such a unique aesthetic. Enjoyed this video as always 👍
What's the first song used in this video? I loved it! Is it from Epidemic Sound?
Love the vibes that bar i swear that music was communicating ‘eat another burger’ or i’m just hungry I dunno but great bar and really like the what’s coming next outdo as well spot on 👍

Yes, that UNIT shop in Siam area does sell analogue cameras
4:56 that's the shot 💯 It just screams Bangkok: train + concrete + traffic + lit up billboards + greenery + skyscraper + cranes + smog
This video gonna make me cry, when I saw the roundabout the place I used to passed all time.🤣
As a German it is funny to see a big sign showing "Deutsche Bank" on that Building at almost the other side of the world :D
You do great work Joe! You got an amazing style. Definately one of my most inspiring photographers on UA-cam :) Missed those travel vlogs.
At 5:09 from wich station you took the picture?
Hey Joe! What is your recipe at 8:00 ??
Hi Joe we are going to bangkok this march please make some videos photo spots in bangkok, And which BTS station is that?
hi what's the name of the rooftop bar?
love you video! hope one day you'll revisit Taiwan again
here's a little question: do you use any tripod for talking head video or footage on the road?
Enjoying the vlog🥰
🤗
love your videos hello from guam
Hey Joe, not questioning your choices kit wise, but why don’t you use XT-4’s for video? Would lighten your load a bit.
I'd like u to do more VDO of Bangkok so satisfying paticularly the way you film and edit.
Nice shot ❤️
Welcome to Thailand
Bladerunner vibes? but have you been to Hong Kong? the DOP was actually inspired by Hong Kong when making the first movie.
@5:35 it's written "Siam Center" just to the right of your (Joe's) head ;)
Does walking around with a large backpack and X-T4 ever get noticed by people? I don't like to stick out like a photographer when I walk around, so take little gear with me and a small Fuji camera.
We are very used to seeing foreigners roaming around with backpacks (and cameras) so don’t worry about that.

Second comment! Would you consider buying a Fuji xpro 2?
I love the X-Pro2, but I’d likely go for the X-Pro3 for the newer sensor if I got one. Though I’d be interested in just waiting to see how they evolve it for next time and see if they keep the inverted screen design.
I went to Osaka in June and I thought, "Dang... looks like BKK! Just Japanese?"
👌🏻
I think this city look like cyberpunk 2077 at night.
Look around for some real neon lights rather than the new LED ones. Quite a few still survive, but they won't be there for long.
The electrical wiring in these places is sketch!!!
