(Figure out the WAY: Why What and How of what we are about to Learn)
FOCUS TIP: Identify the what when why and how of 2-3 core learning objectives
    2. Focus/Deep work routine - CUT IT
(Enter Deep Work Mode/DO NOT DISTURB mode/Hyperfocus, for an hour/a few hours everyday)
    FOCUS deeply when learning
Concentrated effort leads to higher quality and more efficient learning
FOCUS TIP: Build Habit of Hyperfocus cutting distractions
    3. Be involved/Apply what you learned (Directedness) - DO IT
Be actively engaged in the process you want to Master
    Its about learning by doing.
FOCUS TIP: BEGIN/START with the first step
    4. Work on the skills that you are bad at/Fix the problem areas - APPLY IT
(You're only as good as you're weakest link)
    Practice makes Permanent

These are all pretty good. I would offer several more ideas:
Co-learning- learn a related subject at the same time and try to relate, compare, contrast, and implement one with the other.
*An example would be to create math programs if studying a programming language and trigonometry.
Essay writing- try to create an interesting article including the new concepts you're learning.
*An example can even include the first suggestion by writing a Math essay in LateX or a web article on Ethics in html.
Diversify material- use every avenue available to learn a new topic watching and comparing similar courses, using software and simulators, trying out textbooks from multiple publishers.
*For example, there are almost limitless resources online and tons of channels, videos, books, and websites. It is incredible how much accessible free educational materials there are compared to even 10 years ago.

    • @Ajilwayne
      @Ajilwayne 2 місяці тому

if you are someone into programming,as a beginner dont follow diversify material. Its true they have different knowledge and it is good to have ....unlike 10 years there are many contents available if you go for trying out each and each material. you will always feel like you dont know stuff.... pick a good material first...follow it thoroughly...(for the missing knowledge...how to get it right? - do projects)...when you do project you are not only applying what you learnt but also the addition requirements that project wants ....solving errors...new features and all.happy coding guys

Koi, like your video, I had a very bad start in life (health and family wise) and was told (at age 9) I would NOT be able to read and write properly EVER, however, I was lucky with my adoptive parents as they implemented a reading programme which changed my life. I am now 65 and throughout my adult life I have adopted a 'LEARN TO LEARN' policy and have been a successful coach in several sports and had (so far) a interesting and moderately successful life. Along similar lines to your thinking, I have tried new things not overly worried if I fail or not brilliant at it, however, gleaming and learning each time and enjoying the experience. Even though in my sixties I continue this ideaology in physical and mental learning.

One problem we have in the US is that learning is about money or employment. A brain is like a muscle, the more you learn the better your decision power. Learning about health, relationships, management, personal wealth, investing, historical people, or biographies, helps build a strong mind.

    • @dantefernandodantezambrano7910
      @dantefernandodantezambrano7910 4 місяці тому +1

Nevertheless, we may learn and understand anything, but in the end we will assign ourselves to a particular duty. Mostly, this is because our brain is designed to perform one task at a time. Besides we tend to learn anything related to our work, career, and specialty because as long as we remain in society; it will demand us what contributions could be given by doing our job. Even geniuses struggle on what career path they should take; they excel on understanding anything that catches their intellect, but have doubts if each knowledge branch is their call.

i tried like infinite methods and i finally found 2 ultimate solutions which are simple asf
      1. either there should be a strict mentor who gives u deadlines and if u not complete it u get insane punishment
      2. or a clear goal which drives u to study no matter what happens to make your loved ones and yourself satisfied with life
another small tip is i asked myself if i want THE PAIN OF REGRET OR THE PAIN OF GRIND and u know what to choose so next time u feel wasting time ask this question
i think for any human only these two solutions will work

I do agree with the rookie who replied! Having accountability and clear goals helps a ton. I recommend you watch the FOCUS checklist video. In order to zone into deep work, you need to tell your brain to switch from lazy mode to focus mode and a pre-study routine will help you do that.

Visual aids can make complex information more digestible and memorable. They’re a great tool for enhancing understanding and retention.

In usa, the study point is a limited. We can study a book/definitions/meanings, and a person creating the test puts everything in personal terms, which doesn't line up usually.
Why have paragraph questions beating around the bush when a 3 words can ask the same thing?

Hi Mike (or Matty, I forgot lol). If you see this, thanks for all of your wonderful, sophisticated, as well as in-depth and engaging videos, as you really seem to know how to capture an audience! I was curious as to what both of your primary and secondary brain types are (according to your well-established scale), as well as if you will be making any videos or courses regarding how to write level 4, as well as level 5 notes, referring to the ones you showed in your previous video. Also, I was wondering what ages/grades/education levels Study Quest is for? I am asking this because I just completed elementary school, and wish to get as many scholarships or honor rolls in the high school I am attending (which apparently has a Health Sciences Academy), but one thing I notice about my notes... is that they are extremely cluttered, hard to read through, and that while I am writing rapidly (as well as quite messily), I am missing important information on the topic. Thank you, and have a great rest of your morning, daytime, evening, or night! 🙏🌅

The public is not ready for ultra-learning. First, they need to UNLEARN all the things that they believe, that are simply not true.
    Other suggestions for efficient learning:
    1) "hands-on" - learn by doing
    2) don't just keep copious notes. Use software to create a searchable personal knowledge database, including keyword search ability, Be a pack-rat.
    3) follow newsletters and publications of your chosen profession. Keep up with the latest. Never let an unfamiliar term go by, without looking it up and saving it.
    4) Separate the wheat from the chaff. Don't just develop judgment about what you need to know, but what you do NOT need to know ( at least, to know in any great detail). You cannot know everything about everything, without getting "information overload". There is a right balance of "depth vs breadth" in your accumulated knowledge. Try to know a little bit about everything, a lot in your chosen area of specialty. Refer to other subject-matter experts, for the rest.
