My theory is that is a long running Konami Scheme. They will not release Air Neos for 20 years and then they will come with a set so awful and expensive but that will not only have air Neos maiby even some air Neos support and they will say this is a one time only release. Even if the sets will be awful and expensive Konami will sell millions of packs just becouse of the AirNeos hype. February-March 2027 Air Neos re-release
I remember I was also playing PredaBranded during that period and I was running the math on Predapractice and it was like a 10% chance for it to be useful. It's so funny how people buyout literally any card a pro player talks about without double checking if the card is indeed needed. I am not paying 180+ for a playset of a card that has value 10% of the time.
I still believe Firewall's protection wasn't from the anime, it was for pushing the Link mechanic so everyone bought the new cards and it wouldn't flop like Pendulums did, it got banned once they had enough Link monsters out there to maintain the mechanic, it was never meant to be Yusaku's boss monster (otherwise it would have been a Dark monster) Also it got replaced WAAAAAAAAY before Accesscode was a thing, that didn't show up until literally the last episode of the show and FW was banned during early season 2
I mean Stardust dragon was Yusei's boss monster and it was wind. And all his subsequent Stardust dragon variants are not dark. Even Yuma's utopia is light monster I believe. Also while you are most likely correct that firewall was left for so long to promote the link mechanic, there really is a chance that the anime did have part in letting it live so long since the anime was such a huge part of promoting the game. It very well could be that it took them so long because they were coming up with making code talkers Yusaku's main strategy instead of firewall
@@floflo1645 It was never junk warrior though. Even the show established fairly early that it was always Stardust dragon.
