I remember this game quite fondly. An OUTSTANDING game in terms of soundtrack and fx. I still remember it with Nostalgia and it was one of the first games I finished on my C64 .
I still feel this song was inspiration for some of the music late in Super Metroid (Especially the Brinstar (Jungle Floor) music and other parts of that game.)
@@casedistorted Now you must be close to 35 ^_^ I remember having this game on my C64 back in 86 or 87 as an 11 year old? (could not resist the temptation.)
Great memories, loved this game. One of the best games on C64 for music, the high score screen tune was excellent, I used to just load it in to listen to the music through my crappy mono tv back in the day, but hey at least it worked so I could listen to this. 2:50 the moment I would have known my game crashed while loading!!! Arrgghh!!!!
The opening and high score screens on Rambo has very few equals in computer game music - when taken into context of when it was written, in the days before waveform reproduction on-chip - (The Last Ninja is right up there, too). Sure, technology in computer audio chips improved quite a bit over the years - The Amiga's 4 channel stereo audio chip stands out - but for sheer genius in exploiting a chip's capabilities to the max, it's hard to beat this title. This is the commodore 64, how advanced was this soundtrack for its time.........awesome rendition of an amazing theme tune to a timeless film.

+TheCodedtestament THe music was better than the game! Part of what got us kids playing it! It wasn't too bad for all that though.
