When Stan said "you are brilliantly insane, and insanely brilliant". I couldn't think of a higher compliment if anyone said that about me. Keep it up Francis. Thanks for your videos
Thank you both for making and posting this video. I'm a 60 something year old train spotter. Grew up watching the class 37s. I really enjoyed watching you both. Love all the tones you guys got.
And absolutely full credit to the driver - he absolutely knew what Francis and Sam were doing. Look at the way he was, albeit professionally, playing along with them. Kudos and respect to the driver.
Brilliantly unique train chase! The tandem bicycle section was particularly thrilling (and challenging!)! Francis and Stan make a great team! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Really glad you enjoy the Class 97 named after us! You should come visit our little Railway next time you're in the area - we have what we call our own little 37, No.9 - Alf! A beast on the 2ft 3".
Wow .what a video. You absolute pair of nutters. Such determination such enthusiasm. Not seen a video like this one before. I'm 81 now and when I was a young teenage spotter we used to ignore these noisy smokey boxes .not these days though not like you two guys. A great pleasure for me.. thanks ... Dave from Coventry
Of all the things I've watched this year. This has to be the best 18mins of film. Your quite literally living your dream and loving ever second of it. 😀
What a 'brilliantly insane' video! Thank you so very much boys! And I love the way the hooters sound like they're having a conversation with you! So thank you to the train drivers too! Merry Christmas to you all!😀🙋🙏⚖️🙏🧑🎄
Kept seeing Francis on my instagram reels, i had no interest in trains before but this guys enthusiasm and genuine pure joy for seeing these trains is contagious
This is one of THE best videos on the whole of UA-cam! I remember the feeling in the chest that you get from a diesel locomotive on acceleration. Having them alongside when you were in the car must have been magical! I’ve laughed so hard watching this it’s amazing!!!!😂😂😂
What a joyous piece of filming. Chasing the 37s on a tandem. Epic and Stan had a great time too......loved it. This took me back to my innocent carefree childhood.
Harlech has a special place in my heart, my dad nearly killed someone when he decided to buy me a 2 handled kite and go to the beach. He managed to get it in the air about 50 ft and then it nosed dived right in front of a couple walking on the beach. The next year he bought me a fishing rod and went out on a rock to cast it, wave hit him and he lost his wallet. Those memories are 38 years old and still vivid. Thanks Francis for showing that part of the world
9:14 excellent! I guess they spotted the car! The drivers look like they had just as much fun as you and Stan did. The short videos are great, but these longer videos are even better. Edit: just read the last bit 😞
Like two pea's in a pod! Brother's from around the world. What an amazing journey you both had, and for bringing us along. I am not a train enthusiast, but you Francis bring so much entertainment to the thrill of train spotting that i cannot help enjoy watching. I remember hearing of the accident on the news when it happened. A sad day.
Before Beeching you could have travelled north from Pwllheli to Caernarfon and Bangor. Then onto Holyhead or the north west of England along the north Wales coast. Severing that connection was an act of pure vandalism.
@@leejohnson3209 Racism? What has that got to do with you supporting terrorism and mass deaths of Western citizens? Your tired casual insults of Marxist persuasion and your greater ignorance is a disgrace.
Aww man id love love love to spend the day with you taking pictures and chasing trains. So much joy and happiness it fills my heart so much/1 Good on you for everything you done
Let's do a Mach Loop day, it's incredible! You're always welcome in Wales - keep up the brilliant content. In this world of negativity, you're a shining beacon!
Having been on the train to the old Butlins, stopping at Penychain, it's nice to see the route across Barmouth from the spotters viewpoint. Top video, very sad and poignant ending.
Love the Mark One Buffet in the consist ! I remember them in the 70s and 80s on Inter City expresses ! The one swith the plastic orange or yellow seats ?
I did wonder when the video was filmed as you got some nice weather out in wales. You tend to find it can be nice out here in Shropshire and wet and windy in wales and vice a versa. Phenomenal video and give me some ideas for things to do living only 20 miles west of Shrewsbury
Excellent video young Francis and Stan...I remember when you chased these 2 locos before on a special and I replicated it on my N gauge railway layout which I referred you to it at the time. If you didn't see it let me know how I can senf it to you. Take care, Jon B.
Cycling over that bridge: Amazing! Damn I need to get out on more adventures,.... but then I'm still doing the videos from my epic American trip from last year 🤦🏻♂️
Possibly the most mildly insanely wholesome 18 minutes that I have ever witnessed.
Watch the video with Chris Harris if you haven't already, that was an amazing video with so much of Francis's passion shining through again
*completley useless crap*
@ who peed on your chips?🤣
Do people actually get jealous of someone else's happiness? @@HoolyDooly-si2zz
I never would have thought train spotting would be such adrenaline pumping fun!
When Stan said "you are brilliantly insane, and insanely brilliant". I couldn't think of a higher compliment if anyone said that about me. Keep it up Francis. Thanks for your videos
Just a lovely video that’s about enthusiasm as much as it’s about trains!
Your joy is infectious, guys. Wales is so beautiful. Thank you!
The countryside is stunning. Wet, but that's Wales, and you do pronounce your Welsh perfectly.
Pob iwc ar iechyd da.
Fascinating to watch Francis climax every time a train passes by.
@@JohnPretty1 Climax? 🤣
Wouldn't care to rephrase that would you?😂
Oh wow, when it came alongside on the return journey, that was just fantastic. What an amazing coincidence! Never change francis!
Thank you both for making and posting this video. I'm a 60 something year old train spotter. Grew up watching the class 37s. I really enjoyed watching you both. Love all the tones you guys got.
Pacing a train on a tandem bike! Sounds crazy, but resulted in some amazing footage!
And absolutely full credit to the driver - he absolutely knew what Francis and Sam were doing. Look at the way he was, albeit professionally, playing along with them. Kudos and respect to the driver.

Excellent video Francis. As a Mach Loop Photographer myself, It was double bubble for me!! Thank You.
Wow…RIP Mr David Tudor Evans .my thoughts and prayers go out to you, your family and loved ones.
