In a world filled with overwhelmingly negative videos/social interactions, this is singlehandedly one of the most heartwarming things I've watched in what feels like forever. Much love.
I'm not a train enthusiast, but watching Francis Bourgeois's pure enthusiasm for trains reminds you of the simple joy in finding a passion and enjoying it.
Francis is the most enthusiastic person out there, his energy alone makes you smile even on a bad day. If every human had his way of life this would be a wonderful world.
Hello Francis and greetings from Poland "Insanely brilliant". Stan described you to a tee! What a fantastic video. A tremendous chase across Wales. Two locos whose drivers had as much fun as you and Stan. I thought the tandem ride across Barmouth Bridge was incredible. One of your best videos ever!
Wow .what a video. You absolute pair of nutters. Such determination such enthusiasm. Not seen a video like this one before. I'm 81 now and when I was a young teenage spotter we used to ignore these noisy smokey boxes .not these days though not like you two guys. A great pleasure for me.. thanks ... Dave from Coventry
When Stan said "you are brilliantly insane, and insanely brilliant". I couldn't think of a higher compliment if anyone said that about me. Keep it up Francis. Thanks for your videos
Not a huge train enthusiast but I can't help but continue to watch these videos by Francis. Just brings joy and happiness that I need to see :) thank you
Brilliantly unique train chase! The tandem bicycle section was particularly thrilling (and challenging!)! Francis and Stan make a great team! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I've just done the same thing. And those class 97 drivers were buzzing off Luke/Francois as much as he was off them. And the Mach loop included. Great video indeed
I confess that when I first saw this guy I thought 'What a dweeb'...now I am a total convert, and he brightens my day with his boundless enthusiasm. I truly hope his recognition grows...and maybe gets his own programme. Well done mate!
I can relate to the excitement.... often when I'm waiting for my train one comes rushing through not stopping ( with appropriate announcements)....I just hold my breath and feel emotional...it's great . I'm in my seventies and as a child remember very well the steam engines. Best wishes to you both . 😊
Good evening. I found your channel yesterday evening. I must say, watching you enjoying every moment of your hobby. Seeing how happy you are. It's so lovely to watch. It brings a huge smile to my face. Keep enjoying yourself.
Really glad you enjoy the Class 97 named after us! You should come visit our little Railway next time you're in the area - we have what we call our own little 37, No.9 - Alf! A beast on the 2ft 3".
The locomotive that know as the class 97 is actually a couple of class 37 locomotives that have been re classified as 97s after their renumbering schemes by network rail /railtrack for private use
Kept seeing Francis on my instagram reels, i had no interest in trains before but this guys enthusiasm and genuine pure joy for seeing these trains is contagious
Of all the things I've watched this year. This has to be the best 18mins of film. Your quite literally living your dream and loving ever second of it. 😀
Thank you both for making and posting this video. I'm a 60 something year old train spotter. Grew up watching the class 37s. I really enjoyed watching you both. Love all the tones you guys got.
This video has it all. Class 97s. You can’t beat that sound. Some of the greatest scenery, in my opinion, in the British Isles. A loco horn that gives a close imitation of the first line of “On Ilkley Moor baht ‘at” Most importantly the sheer joy you bring to all your videos. Thank you.
This is one of THE best videos on the whole of UA-cam! I remember the feeling in the chest that you get from a diesel locomotive on acceleration. Having them alongside when you were in the car must have been magical! I’ve laughed so hard watching this it’s amazing!!!!😂😂😂
Like two pea's in a pod! Brother's from around the world. What an amazing journey you both had, and for bringing us along. I am not a train enthusiast, but you Francis bring so much entertainment to the thrill of train spotting that i cannot help enjoy watching. I remember hearing of the accident on the news when it happened. A sad day.
What a 'brilliantly insane' video! Thank you so very much boys! And I love the way the hooters sound like they're having a conversation with you! So thank you to the train drivers too! Merry Christmas to you all!😀🙋🙏⚖️🙏🧑🎄
I found this yesterday and I'm addicted to him he so enthusiastic about trains and is most nerdiest thing I've ever watched but it's brilliant keep up the great work
And absolutely full credit to the driver - he absolutely knew what Francis and Sam were doing. Look at the way he was, albeit professionally, playing along with them. Kudos and respect to the driver.
9:14 excellent! I guess they spotted the car! The drivers look like they had just as much fun as you and Stan did. The short videos are great, but these longer videos are even better. Edit: just read the last bit 😞
Harlech has a special place in my heart, my dad nearly killed someone when he decided to buy me a 2 handled kite and go to the beach. He managed to get it in the air about 50 ft and then it nosed dived right in front of a couple walking on the beach. The next year he bought me a fishing rod and went out on a rock to cast it, wave hit him and he lost his wallet. Those memories are 38 years old and still vivid. Thanks Francis for showing that part of the world
How this isn't a netflix series ive no idea. Quiet simply the most magical thing ive watched in a very long time. The pure joy they both bring is just brilliant. 2hen they were cycling next to they trrain. 😂😂 At night im sure they fight crime.
Francis your videos are amazing!! I love your enthusiasm! You should come to Canada! We have old night star trains still in service working along side the last iconic Budd steamliner rolling stock in regular service in North America! As someone who has traveled across Canada by train many times I would be happy to help!!
What a joyous piece of filming. Chasing the 37s on a tandem. Epic and Stan had a great time too......loved it. This took me back to my innocent carefree childhood.
Francis… Thank you for being you mate… You have restored my faith in people… I am a nobody compared to you, but I felt the least I could do was subscribe and say thank you.
Aww man id love love love to spend the day with you taking pictures and chasing trains. So much joy and happiness it fills my heart so much/1 Good on you for everything you done
Possibly the most mildly insanely wholesome 18 minutes that I have ever witnessed.
Watch the video with Chris Harris if you haven't already, that was an amazing video with so much of Francis's passion shining through again
@ who peed on your chips?🤣
Do people actually get jealous of someone else's happiness? @@HoolyDooly-si2zz

Francis is the most enthusiastic person out there, his energy alone makes you smile even on a bad day. If every human had his way of life this would be a wonderful world.
The train drivers must have had a laugh and lots of enjoyment watching these guys keep up with them at every stop
Didn't think I'd enjoy this video but I must say I've laughed all the way through 😂😂

I’ve just realised at 13:30 that I was smiling all the way through this video. You really feel you’re with him on his journey, such a good narrator.
