Moving from a 1300+ square foot condo to a 1000+ condo. Terrified as I had lots of cabinets and pantry and soon, only a few! You have relieved my mind some with so many great hacks. I will have to let you know if I survive the stress of putting my tiny kitchen together!
I really like your idea of putting pots and pans in an upper cupboard. I too have arthritis and it does make such a difference how my hands feel. I am new to your channel and I subscribed. Thank you for your words at the end 😊
Hello Shannon & Happy Friday! As I watch your organization videos I not only get ideas to rearrange my own spaces but our youngest son just bought his first house and I’m using your ideas to get him started off on the right foot. Have a fantastic weekend & Happy 4th of July next week! ❤
Thank you so much since small kitchens mean so many different things to different people any ideas is always helpful (my kitchen/dining room/entryway is 16x10 😂) I’m always needing ideas love your videos so cute and helpful 💕
1:34 i use these handled baskets in my spice cabinet above my stove… i spray painted them and labeled them to organize my spices etc by type and applications
Plastic containers-I try to have one kind. Rubbermaid has the smaller ssndwich size and the square size, same lid fits both. Just recently, I bought hefty plastic containers from Sam’s-clear lid w/sturdy base. I like my cereal “decanted” into tupperware (sale) or rubbermaid storage, keeps cereal fresh since kids kept tearing up the boxes. I can see how there is. And can be stacked if needed. Like your practical ideas’
This was such a helpful video. I am in the process of decluttering and organizing my kitchen, so decanting is on the to do list. To the Dollar Tree I go!! Thanks
Like you I have severe arthritis. About a month ago, organizing my cabinets, I came up with your same idea to put my pans in upper cabinet. Best thing I’ve done!!! Your videos inspire me to tackle more things in my home. 👏
Another Idea for storing pots/pans is to use the over-the-door hooks from Dollar Tree. The metal white ones with six hooks are actually quite sturdy, and I hung one over a cabinet door a couple of years ago. I hang four pots/pans on the outside of an upper cabinet door. Now, they are Pioneer Woman pots/pans, too, so they are not old flimsy cookware. This really works well to save space and prevent bending so much for my arthritic back. I wasn't sure about it initially, but it has done just fine! As long as you have a cabinet door securely attached, you should have no trouble as the over-the-door organizer distributes the weight. This also allows you to display your beautiful cookware! God bless us all with arthritis, LOL! It only means we've lived a little. Have a great day, y'all!
My problem with "decanting" is that companies spend big bucks on packaging so it takes less space on the shelf and it is cost effective. If I remove items from their commercial packaging I lose expiration dates, instructions for mixes, etc, at the expense of shelf life. I know that I can store things for better shelf life by removing them from their containers but then I don't know how much of what mix requires what additions to cook as required unless I measure the contents of each package before putting it into the container. Things store longer in plastic than they will in waxed paper, longer in glass than in plastic, longer with air removed from packaging than when not, but...Holely Moley...
Lauren great question! In this case I stuck them just to the side of the container. You can also tape them to the outside back of box or keep them in a special folder. Thx for watching!!
Another way to get those labels off is hit it with your hair dryer 😊 Also, Do not buy any containers until AFTER you’ve downsized, decluttered and tossed! Buying them before is the #1 biggest mistake we make and why we fail! So downsize like she said BEFORE you go shopping. This way you’ll know exactly what you need! Take measurements too and keep them in your phone’s Notes App
Thank you for helping people. // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2). The Messiah died on the cross, & Resurrected three days later (presenting Himself as First Fruits to the Father). Please ask Him to be your Savior. He is the ONLY way to Everlasting Life.

Hi Shannon! Where did you find the lights for under the cabinets? Are they motion?

What takes away my arthritis pain is a keto/carnivore diet. I hope it works for everyone!
Caroline great tip!
Hi Shannon, love your channel. Where did you get the containers on the fridge that say foil, plastic, & parchment?? Love them!!

Great organizing video, thanks. I got your labels, but I'm confused. What is "C H O R D S"?
Lynne thanks for watching. I use this label for extension chords storage.
@@shannonskiptomylife I think it is spelled "cords".

I have to say, 3bdr house for two is not ‘downsized’ home
Depends of square feet.
She downsized from a 6 bedroom home to the "tiny" 3 bedroom home. I'd kill to have a 3 bedroom home!!! She'd be shocked by the closet I live in!😊
