- The Florida Gators football team are starting their season this Saturday against the Utah Utes in head coach Billy Napier's first season in Gainesville with new starting quarterback Anthony Richardson at the helm. Could Billy Napier and the Florida Gators with Anthony Richardson as their starting quarterback upset the top-ten team in the Utah Utes led by Kyle Whittingham and Cameron Rising?

Great content. Keep them coming. Go Gators .🐊🐊🐊
Appreciate you Scott! Go Gators!
I saw utahs depth chart and it looks like their secondary is undersized I’d say Justin shorter should be utilized a lot. A 6-4 receiver covered by their 5-11 dbs isn’t a good look for Utah. Think their tallest db was 6’2 idk just something to consider
Agreed, the weak links on this Utah team are undersized (or tall/skinny) DBs and average WR talent. Those places are where the Gators can take advantage of the Utes.
Big boy football time
Let’s go gators!🐊🤟
LFG Gators!
for the football fall season pigskins flying into the season. 2 teams squared at the shoulders bringing in the heat from the deep sweat Deep South gators boys from loud stadiums. and the rocky mtns boys players with grit and tenacity. will be one for the books with the record keeping and stat statements.
Ready to run through a wall
And AR is 240 lbs that’s a linebacker running at you🐊🐊🐊
Yep...Diabate getting....
💥🚛💨
@@hardwiredtoselfdestruction3401 yeah and Diabate will over pursue and miss the tackle like he always done🤣🤣
Barton is technically starting but Utah very rarely plays 3 lbs. you will see him more in rotation with diabate and Reid than that third spot
Go Utah! I'll be tailgating all weekend...where should I go and do while in town?
Social at Midtown is always a fun place! Good luck to your Utes but as always #GoGators

@@chrisbuddy87 You know what they say “work hard, play hard” and I definitely plan on working hard sooo
Utah seems to always struggle vs. mobile QBs and the deep pass. If Florida can punish the Utes in these areas, Gators could win. If not, the Utes will have a good shot at taking the W.
It’s not just Utah that will struggle vs Richardson it will be majority of the SEC. Only team that I seen that can matchup well with Richardson athletic abilities is Georgia but even they are replacing that defense from last season. Richardson can rush for 1,000 yards if Napier let’s him but since Florida has zero backups behind him he wound be let loose that much
Go Utes - Can't wait! - my prediction - will come down to the final drive of the game. Instant classic, and build-up for next year's rematch in SLC will be fire!
- Utah doesn't throw the long ball because Coach Whit is a low risk / high probability player. over the years, his "run the ball up the middle", and "dink and dunk" offense is boring, but effective. Coach Whit doesn't want to beat teams any other way than straight up (except Oregon in 2016? - full of trickeration). we only have one chunk play receiver - kid from TX.. the rest are all wired for plays 5 to 10 yards. The 2 TE sets are lethal.
- to offset the heat / humidity - my prediction is Utah will try to dominate possession, slow, deliberate drives to wear out the FL d, so it's fair game come 4th Qtr. Utah is good at this
- In Coach Whit's press conference yesterday - he referred to the FL QB as a "cam newton" level player - that's a heck of a compliment from Coach Whit.. rarely does he call out opponents by name. I'm pretty sure the QB dual threat is on their radar... but your analysis is correct - the last 10 years, UT has struggled with a good dual-threat qb... Marcus Mariota chewed up the UT d and spit it out... I bet this AR dude is even better.
T it up! lets watch some football!!
Loved reading this man! I audibly laughed at you saying Utah is going to try to dominate possession when I know Florida is going to try to do the same exact thing lol
Brandon says Florida has Dynamic QB , Superb RB’s , Athletic TE’s , Explosive Defensive players, Excellent HC etc.. Then says Florida will win 7 games in 2022… LOL
Dynamic QB =/= good. Athletic TEs =/= good, explosive defense =/= good. Gotta put it all together
As always, good takes and a lot of interesting info. The more I see of Utah's experience/depth, the less impressed I am. I had a few courteous exchanges with the Locked-on Utes guys and took them to task for saying that Utah absolutely had a better starting 22 than UF. After contesting the validity of that statement with some success, they came up with "Yeah, you may have more talent, but we're champs and you're has-beens. We play above our talent level, and you play below yours. We're gonna bully UF on both lines and run it down your throats. Blah, blah, blah. I'm done with their bullschytt. We are CONSIDERABLY more talented than they are. We have not fallen off the face of the earth and it will not take any miracles to beat a team like Utah at home. There are questions for both teams, but we have more answers that don't rely on the other team being ill-prepared or too green to compete. UF 34-17, and the game is not as close as the score.
McKinney was the reason for issues with mobile QBs, and was replaced by Cole Bishop and that was the huge difference. Strong safety was an issue. Anthony brown had 0 success as a mobile qb with Bishop starting. Twice. Utah has the personal and I guess the gators are impervious to the heat. And good luck with those quick slants against the 6'7" 300 pound defensive tackle. Half of Utah's starters are from Hawaii, Texas, Florida.
There’s a difference in Florida humidity than anywhere in the country. Louisiana is the only other state I been too that can matchup well with Florida’s humidity. It’s different trust me
