My grandfather bought a brand-new 2007 Mazda Mx-5 back in that year. He bought it with the soft top in copper red. It was a beautiful car. I miss it.
The features it had was keyless ignition with smart keyless entry, heated seats, AM/FM BOSE radio with CD player and 6 speakers. The transmission was a 6-speed automatic with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
Quite a vessel, this. Appreciate you taking us with you out on the high seas and back again to port.

This seems to shift faster than my 06 NC auto
i have the same car. 06 miata grand touring. When you’re in ‘Drive’ does your gear indicator just say ‘D’ or does it tell you what gear youre in still? because mine still shows the numbers when im in drive and not manual
@@zedxmike7214 I also have a '06 grand touring, it shows the gear I'm in even when i'm not in manual mode.
Im curious on how safe this vehicle is? Please maybe upload a video on how safe it is and if you can find a test crash and review it
This was the first MX-5 to incorporate side-airbags has very good ratings from most of the big crash test organizations. From 2009 onward, traction control was fitted as standard (previously an optional extra), which can be helpful in tricky situations where correcting oversteer is difficult or not possible.
I noticed when you’re in ‘Drive’ the gear indicator just says ‘D’ i have an 06 NC Miata grand touring and when im in Drive my gear indicator still tells me what gear im in even when im not on ‘M’ is that normal?

As a Miata owner, I'm inclined to say an automatic Miata should be sent to turbo hell, but honestly, the NC automatic is surprisingly good
But I would still get manual
i own an automatic nc. in traffic, it really is a huge step up. i had a civic before this one and while i miss driving manual from time to time, the paddle shifters let me get torque when i want it and let me coast in bumper to bumper traffic. if i lived in a rural area or out in the countryside, yea i would want a manual no matter what it was. different use cases i suppose

An automatic in any miata is a sin.
It's not only a sin, but to add further insult to injury, the paddle setup on the wheel looks absolutely hideous.
Okay.. Well i got a fantastic deal on my 2014 and i love it. I got into a miata because of the elitist attitude towards a rather simple driving machine manual or not. So i should be thanking guys like yourself.. But i won't.

Mazda automatic isn’t bad.
Like any community people need to stop gatekeeping. Manual or not, we all love to have fun driving, we all love to smile, we all love mx-5s, we love to mod and tune, it’s always the answer. Why the toxicity. Just because I can’t stand seafood doesn’t mean I look down upon people who like it, cmon guys. We’re better than this.
