How very interesting, that is precisely my own feeling upon the matter. My grandfather was a black watch colonel and sandhurst graduate, serving in many WW2 and post war conflicts, including burma, and I have a strong affinity for sabre fighting. The movement seems very natural and highly effective.
Since there are two persons, perhaps it would be good to have one person stand to the side whilst the other is head on, to show different perspectives..
+Dan Carlson If you go on the HEMA Alliance page on facebook you may be able to find a group close to you. The best option is always to study under and experienced teacher.

I prefer to engage either in Medium or High Segund, I like to be able to be ready for an attack coming from everywhere.
Considering that it's covert and not sword to sword, it's kinda moot point.
Kinda hard to pick up on context in writing. ;)
i think the 40 degree angle guard facing center towards the solar plexus is a standard guard for sabre dueling

+Dan Carlson Wiktenauer and the Schola Forum database are the best places to start.

Which is the one he starts talking about at 2:19? I cant figure out the name
Quinte, 5, Italian I think. This is probably the most used number system for guards.
It's actually *quarte*, the fourth position. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parry_(fencing)#Classification
Sorry. Too much echo.
