Long before the Maldives are actually underwater, salt water will have encroached into their remaining fresh groundwater (97% of the archipelago already has none) - it will not be feasible to either manufacture enough by desalination and other means, or import it.
Also, any future sea-level rise greatly increases the already grave threats from tsunamis and hurricane storm surges.

Lots of controversial "facts" in this one. Especially the Belgium part I know is not very accurate. Living in the Netherlands, close to the Belgium border, I can say with confidence that Simon's script had very few facts in it.

No no no, this is a video where he gets it all wrong. I've even sent mails to his team about it but they refuse to edit and reupload coz it messes with their views. Money over truth. Simon and his team have shown me their true colors.
I guess Daniel and Spencer didnt read the comments under that video, or they did and wanted the controvesy 😂

This channel has been annoyingly anglocentric, anglo as in English and not British, for many more videos.

The sand thing is not as easy as it seams. Because we have a huge sand crisis. Especially Dubai is buying (and partly stealing) as much sand as they can get. The problem is, that desert sand is not very usful for industrial projects (thats why theis artificial islands fails in the first attempt). Maybe a reaction to a video about the sand crisis would be a good idea.

The Flemish separatist sentiment and movement is much stronger than the French speaking separatists. Not only have the Flemish been oppressed and exploited by the French speaking Walloons for hundreds of years and until very recently, they have to pay for the Walloon people that still show little respect. Wallonia votes very left, and the Flemish pick up the bill of all the welfare for example, including the many in Brussels, while the federation is an administrative mess that prevents proper governing of the country.
If England had treated Scotland right there would not have been a separatist movement, if the Walloons had treated the Flemish right neither.

@@christophe0408 So the part that is on financial support by the other part is left wing? What a surprise.

Not all information were correct. Belgium for example: If the country cracks it will stop to exist. The wallonian part will connect with France, the flamish part with the Netherlands and a 3 part will connect to Germany. Other point: Transnistria is occupated by Russia. A small part of the population claimed this part and Russia send troops. It is not longer a democracy. At 24:11 The Maldives are 1.8 meter above the sea level. Most part of the Netherlands have a negative high. For my point of view the USA will not exist in the future. Trump will separate it in different parts with his own kingdom in Florida..😂

Wallonia and especially Flanders could very well exist on their own. Flanders has a strong economy, wallonia doesnt -> Conservative and liberal politics vs socialist dominated region. A split is unlikely, a move to confederalism more likely, but if it does happen only a few want reunifcation with the Netherlands. I would not mind it, but i think i am a minority. And even then i think we have bigger problems to take care off first.

The Netherlands has no interest in accepting Flanders as part of the Netherlands. It would cost a lot of money and effort to bring Flanders under Dutch law and customs, and the Netherlands wouldn't really gain much by that investment.
The countries split almost 200 years ago and both developed their own history and culture. I never met any Dutch or Fleming that desires Flanders to be part of the Netherlands.
If Belgium would ever split up than Flanders will become an independent country.
Also the channel shows that it is very ignorant about Moldova's political and demographical situation.

Too many stupid comments here! Flanders is not going to join the Netherlands because historically they have never agreed (Protestant and Catholic). Wallonia does not want to become French but to remain sovereign in case that happens (but there is very little chance) I am Walloon out of the question that I become French and for but compatriot it's the same! Brussels will continue to belong to the Walloons and the German-speaking part too!

Britains on its way out. There'll always be an England but Britain is done.
