Tried the challenge twice. It is brutal. Xitheros stance I, gives him struggle for every offensive card (red and blue). He unleashes at the start of round one since Karah had 3 in total and Heleren had 5 in total.
I got the game on Black Friday offer, and I can't wait to play it. I hope most fights are more doable than that guy! It seemed like you really needed an entire tier more of damage to outpace the incoming damage
These are the monthly challenge scenarios, not the base game. The regular fights are much more winnable. Check out my first video where I play the first fight in the game. I hope you enjoy the game and thanks for watching!
The monster had turned to face Heleren, so Karah was attacking the side of the monster, not the head. Those attack regions are in relation to the monster. Thanks so much for watching the playthrough!
That's a great question. I'll ask Reggie Games if I can share what they gave to me. It wasn't for every class and every challenge but it would be something. Thanks for watching!
I think these challenges are for the best of the best -- kinda like the highest difficulty levels for Spirit Island. It is expert mode and I am a novice who enjoys the game, as are most of the content creators I assume. So just because we don't stand a chance doesn't mean it is impossible. I approach the challenges as "see how much damage I can cause" and that is my score. Having a kind of a suicide mission like this does add a different vibe to the gameplay -- it feels like a survival scenario, which are my favorite genre of games. So it might not be for everyone, but I really enjoy them. Keep in mind, I'm being paid to make these videos. Thanks for watching!
@@TotallyTabled it's your job, I have no issue with biases or whatever. Also, I've seen plenty of your videos to have an idea of your tastes. On the game you have a point: they are probably designed as the highest difficulty possible and most people showcasing it are not veterans of the game (I still find it difficult to imagine gamers who play 1 game enough to know the math behind it). That said, MvM did win this scenario! Off camera, but they did lol.

Great playthrough. Question, could Karah do any damage to the monster in the first round from the front?

@@TotallyTabled thank you
Is there a way to get load out recs for every challenge and for every class?

Thanks Shaggy! @@TotallyTabled
This boss is hard, I failed miserably against this guy. Totally get why its part of the nightmare expansion 😅
Whenever I hear nightmare mode I think of the impossible Nightmare difficulty in Ghost Stories. This might actually be harder! Thanks for watching!
I've not seen a single video on people beating one of these. Are they even possible?
I was thinking the same thing lol. Not really a challenge. More like a slaughter lol
