Got started in target archery about 4 years ago. A puncher from the get go. It was working for a while. Last year during indoor nationals, experienced my first serious target panic. I was a mess. Thought it was under control this year but went in with last year's shit show in my mind. Was shooting good the first 10 ends then a switch flipped target panic back on and completely fell apart last 2 ends. The thought of the panic was so crushing, I couldn't shoot day 2. I'm so mentally exhausted. Ordered Joel's book & we happen to have the release you've been shooting in our release stash. Time to turn this around. I found both interviews so helpful & motivating! Thank you! I'll report back on my progress.

The signature test really exposed how plain stubborn I was. I spent way too long on it discovering how strong my will to do everything but what was intended. Very enlightening.

After watching and listening to this on Spotify quite a few times I decided to commit to the ShotIQ system 100%. I had dabbled with it a few times in the past but never committed.
A lot of this and the last podcast with Joel resonated deeply with me. I just had to go for it and use the #ShotIQ system. My shot anticipation has been getting worse for the last few years.
I got to our County(State) Indoor championships a week after commiting to Joel's #ShotIQ process. I shot controlled shots from start to finish. I stuck to the process and let the score take care of itself. Took the win in Barebow class but the most important thing was that I had no anxiety, I didn't lose my shit I shot controlled shots, I knew what happened on each and every shot, no blackouts. I now have the blueprint as I remember exactly what I was doing. I was like a ship without a rudder in a storm before using ShotIQ in my shooting.
Thanks for your podcasts mate! All the best from the UK.

Subconscious movements occur if you are afraid of a shot, and if not, there is no reason for them. I love to shoot and have fun why will I twitch when I shoot? I practiced a surprise shot, nothing good happened. It's still better when I know exactly when there will be a shot.

What release is Joel talking about that has a safety on it?

This guy had zero business bow hunting. 100% unethical to be that incompetent and keep going that long without fixing the problem or going with a rifle instead.
