- Another session out on Anglesey, this time fishing a beach mark. I was hoping to catch my first small eye ray, but with onshore winds, the conditions looked perfect for a nice bass. A couple of hours in to the flood, I spotted a nice bite, which resulted in a new personal best and not one I was expecting at all.
Hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for watching, take care and tight lines.
Alex
Braving the elements there Alex. Well done on those fish, I think we were all smiling along with you at that sea trout, well done 🤩👍🎣🐟
Thanks Danielle, I'm still grinning now 😁
Cracking sesh,,well done pal nice bass and a bonus sea trout,,SEWIN
Cheers Wayne 👍🏼
Great to see you rewarded for some proper uk hard fishing!
Thanks!
Great session! Nice Bass and a very nice Sea Trout. Well deserved especially in cold wet conditions with a boot full of water.
Thanks mate, it's nice when the efforts are rewarded 👍🏼
That is one hell of a Sea Trout and could hear your excitement as you reeled it in and well worth the trip for that alone.
Buzzing is a bit of an understatement for sure
Congratulations! I was almost as excited for that as you were. Well done Alex.
Haha I had to edit out loads of jumping and shouting 😂
@@theawfulangler I fully remember the time I caught my first legal keeper sized striped bass. Just a long string of bleeps! My husband was on nights at the time, but I dashed home with it and woke him up sticking it in his face.
Congratulations stunning sea trout you deserve it fir your efforts nice bass to love the videos thank you for showing us all❤
Glad you enjoyed it mate, thanks for watching 👍🏼
Cracking session mate 🙌🙌🙌
Thanks John, hopefully see you on the island at some point

Thanks Christ 👍🏼
Very nice fishes. Wishing you and your family a very happy year. 👍
Thanks matey, same to you and yours 👍🏼
Beautiful Bass Alex and a lovely Sea Trout. Fantastic conditions too. All the best.
Yeah the conditions were spot on 👌🏽
Awesome Alex, that`s why we get out there, your smile say`s it all, I would swap blanking for months if I knew I was going to land a Sea Trout like that🎣
I keep saying it. The poor sessions make the good ones that bit sweeter!
What a reward for braving the conditions! All you need to do now is go and catch his big brother!
I don't think I'll be catching a bigger one any time soon mate 😅
Amazing result on that sea Trout Alex 🎉👌🏻. Well deserved fish mate
Thanks matey
Great vid . Many thanks . Great surf on the incoming tide , perfect conditions .
I'm glad you enjoyed it, mate. I was hoping the conditions would provide, and they did. Love it when a plan comes together
Cracking session mate lovely bass and I think you were fairly pleased with the seatrout did the trout go back looked like it was bleeding pretty bad, can't be helped sometimes.
Pleased is one way of putting it 😂 she was well spent and bleeding a little, but it's illegal to keep sea trout.
Congratulations on a great session and well done for returning your sea trout kelt.
Absolutely cracking double 👍👍
I was stoked mate 👌🏽
Congratulations Alex well done.
Cheers Graham 👍🏼
Fantastic fish Alex, made up for you, great watch as usual
Thank you buddy 👍🏼
Congratulations on those fish! You really deserved it given how bad the conditions were. Worth the wet foot!
I hate the wind, but this session has me considering braving those conditions a bit more often.
Seriously impressed with that fish mate 👌🏻✌🏻 well worth the terrible weather you endured to catch it 👍🏻
Cheers Liam, I was slightly excited!
Ello 😀 clonker of a sea trout, a nice suprise. Cheers Alex. 🧔 👍
Cheers Bob, very welcome surprise indeed!
Nice one alex on your sea trout. Ive never had one as of yet. All the best from G.Y
Congrats on the sea trout Alex
Cheers Mark
Cracking Sea Trout there Alex, there's absolutely loads of them about.
I've had plenty through summer on the lures, but never that size or on baits
Nice 1 Alex,bet u wasn’t expecting that 👌🏻
No not at all mate, but a great surprise!
Cracking trout buzzing for ya 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Thanks Rob 👍🏼
Great video again mate 🎣👍
Thanks 👍
entertaining session well done mate
Well done mate, nice sea trout.
Cheers Dean
Alex well done. The Bass for starters was great, but the Sea Trout (Sewin) tops it off. Awesome. A fish I have been dreaming of. Congratulations on another species.
I've had small sea trout before, but that one will take some beating, that's for sure.
Top fish mate 👍👍👍
Cheers Gaz 👍🏼
Well done on your pb mate and another one for Tommy's 50
Well done brother! I'm made up for ya!!!😊
Cheers buddy 👍🏼
Cracking session Alex 👏🏻 , hats off to ya for the effort, hope you got a shot of the trout on the species card 🤣👍🏻, I pump worm then fish on them type of beaches so hard work especially filming aswell 🎣👍🏻
Cheers buddy! Yeah its all well and good fishing storm beaches, even dropping to one rod when needs be, but add a camera in to the mix it's hectic 😂
Lovely sea trout Alex.....had my pb of 3lb 10oz from Cymyran a few years back....one of my fav beaches ,had other p.b`s of small eyed, bass and turbot from there....mid Sept through October is prob the best time for small eyed from there.....darkness is much better.
I've done well on the lures through summer. But I'm just learning to fish the beach, and so far it's producing the goods, so I look forward to what it could produce this summer.
Nice catch Alex, I love how you guys target Rays, we get huge black Rays that are a nuisance. It's a struggle to get your line back, some are 100kg or more. It's a first world problem.😅
Where in the world is that? Sounds epic!
I grew up near here, there's a little river runs down the beach that sea trout migrate up. Sea trout start shoaling around the coast this time of year before they run the rivers.
You surely fish in some tough condition weather wise, but your sea state in the main seems calmer than N.Z. Good on you.
I think we suffer a lot more from winds / surf than you guys. But you guys see a lot more swell. That was my take anyway when I fished NZ
Congrats on the Sea Trout. You must be next to Valley. Have so much footage and pics of the Hawks, Red Arrows, Typhoons and a few others taking off and landing there.
If you're after stingrays then anywhere along Clacton coast line produces well every year including the pier.
I've spent many a day through the summer holidays, watching the planes in and out of valley. I even got to do a week on Base with the cadets, and had a go in the hawk sim. Great experience!
Nice one Alex! not gonna lie from the little clip in the intro I thought you had nobbled a 3lb whiting🤣😂 Belting sea trout that buddy congrats!!!
Thanks mate, but a 3lb whiting would be a good catch!
@@theawfulangler oh absolutely it would!, I've been watching Mr Hand pulling them in in Norway on the shore hunter channel recently!!!
2 great fish in what looked like tough conditions, I had my first sea trout last year on a lure
I've had plenty of small ones on the lures, but i don't think I'll find one bigger than this for quite some time!
Nice job. Thanks.
Thanks Bill 👍🏼
Another cracking video mate thanks! Thats gotta be rhosneigr?
Well done pal get in
Brilliant...One last cast..lol. Two hours later...we've all done it...
Wow.
I'll be waiting a long time to beat that
Nice session thought it was a salmon but what do I know 😂
I must admit, I keep looking at the pictures and questioning it with how slender and streamlined it was.
Hi alex .. what a class video bud , over the moon for you getting the sea trout ! Can i ask you what you think of the kyori ? Ive watched your vid on comparing the diff rods in range and it seemed to cast well and i think you said it felt good .. have you fished with it ? Im thinking if getting the two piece model .. i love my fury 435 srs tt rods but i like the look of the two piece kyori
Pity about the Wellie full but nice fish none the less.
I would of kept both sea trout and bass for the pan
I'm still working my way through the Cod haha
Was it Llanddona beach
I know in some places now fishers are using drones to take their baits out.
That's cheating though surely? I've met a few folk who struggle to cast for various reasons, but that's the only time drones should be used in my opinion
@@theawfulangler I guess for the BIG saltwater fish off Florida you have to get the baits out there.
I'm gonna watch this in a bit with me dinner, I'm heading up there in few weeks fir a weeks fishing, no idea where to head yet so this is perfect
The fishing opportunities are endless up there 👌🏽
@@theawfulangler i hope the fish are endless aswell when i get there lol
@mat_allthegearfishing haha don't we all!
Da uma força pra ysadora pedi pedi
You killed that sea trout, the blood was pissing out.😮
Looked like sandy water pissing out to me
I thought it was blood .should of just kept it for the pan
Was going to comment, looked like blood to me but you can't always tell on video, obviously don't know the date of the session but if in Feb bass have to go back dead or alive.
It was bleeding, but it can't be helped at times. This was filmed in mid-January, but both fish went back no bother.
