How to check the variable valve timing system on a Kia Seed 1.6L 2013.
On the oscilloscope screen, we observe signals from the connected sensors and VVT solenoids:
Channel 1 - "Inlet (intake) CMP" (Inlet camshaft sensor);
Channel 2 - "Inlet (intake) VVT" (VVT inlet solenoid);
Channel 3 - "Exhaust CMP" (Exhaust camshaft sensor);
Channel 4 - "Exhaust VVT" (VVT exhaust solenoid);
Channel 5 - "CKP" (Crankshaft sensor);
Channel 6 - not used;
Channel 7 - "Sync" (Synchronization probe);
Channel 8 - not used.
We run the CSS script and analyze the diagrams.

Almost all vehicle engines operate on similar principles and are arranged about the same.

Why are the Channels for the VVTs measuring Volts, eventhough they are connected via current clamps ? Thanks for Answering ;)

The channel name should have been set to "CTi-M"
