  • Annual Service on Ford KA
Service on Ford KA built between 2003 and 2008.This Video is to help you if you have a Ford KA and the vehicle requires an annual service.
    The following items were replaced:
Sump plug, Spark plugs (x4), Cabin Filter, Oil Filter, Air Filter and Engine Oil (4.35L)
Note Difference between Minimum and Maximum is 0.75L
Order of replacement and instructions: 1. Jack the car up at the front, hand brake on, Choc the back wheels. Axle stands to both sides. 2. Open oil filler cap (bonnet up) Place tray under the car with ground sheet. Undo sump plug with 13mm spanner. Leave oil to drain. 3. Do Engine Air Filter. Remove square intake box (push fit) undo (loosen) jubilee clip, release hose to engine cover, pinch plastic case at front, remove air filter container box complete, unclip x4 then replace filter then refit in reverse order. 4. Do Engine Oil Filter using filter removal tool and another container to collect filter. Leave to drain. 5. Replace spark plugs one at a time to avoid mixing up the firing order for the engine. Use Spark Plug removal tool. Put in new plugs gently, nip up but do not over tighten new plugs. 7. Refit oil sump plug then fill with oil one or two litres at a time up to the 4 litre Minimum Level. Allow time to settle.
    8. Change cabin filter by removing screws x4 from passenger side (UK) or drivers side (Europe) 9. Lower the car back to the ground then run engine 5 minutes, check oil level on dip stick, should read Minimum Level (4L) then top up with 300ml of oil then check again after running engine another 5 minutes. Finally check oil level again to confirm level is 4.35L midway between dipstick markings. 10. Check all fluids, tyre pressures, tyre treads, battery charging 14.1V to 15Volts with engine running.
This Video also includes information and instructions on fitting or replacing bumper clips if they are broken.
This Video is to help guide you along the way, but if you are in any doubt please consult a qualified mechanic.
This Video applies to the Ford KA only, Duratec OHC (Overhead CAM Engine) built between 2003 and 2008. I hope this information proves useful.

Hi hope you find my comment 😅 where do I find the AIT sensor on the ford ka rocam engine

According to the Haynes manual the Rocam (Duratec) engine does not have the IAT (inlet air temp) sensor. IAT is mounted in the air filter housing on the l/h side of the Endura pre 2002 OHV engine air filter cover. Duratec's have a TMAP sensor that combines both the IAT (temperature and manifold absolute pressure) located on the inlet manifold.
Hope this helps thanks for your feedback.

I had my vehicle diagnosed and got a P0113 code ( sensor Curcuit high input ) 😢. Any advice on how to Solve this problem? Thanks for the reply

According to what I have read the code P0113 for high sensor input is likely to be an issue with your TMAP sensor (models from 1999) located near to the idle air control valve but obscured by the inlet manifold even with the air filter assembly removed. As I haven't (as yet) had this issue I can't advise further but if the Haynes manual says for best access the inlet manifold should be removed this is NOT a DIY job. Take a look with the air filter removed and see if you can locate the sensor near to the idle air control valve but if the Haynes manual says it is difficult then best pass it to a trained mechanic IMO. Let me know how you get on best of luck
