I grew up in Jakarta and my mother had an entire greenhouse full of orchids. They were so beautiful, and she could find so many different kinds. Now my family lives in the Northeast USA and my mom still has a few orchids, but they just don't do as well. Indonesia is truly a magical place for growing tropical plants. Next time I'm back visiting my grandmother I'm going to have to stock up her apartment with all of my dream plants!

Yes! Excellent observation. I loved when he said that all plants are beautiful and have a place in the world. (Sorry if I'm not quoting him correctly!)
Denphals are not Dendrobium x Phalaenopsis hybrids. They are named after Dendrobium bigibbum, which was formerly/synonymously Dendrobium phalaenopsis. It's the parent plant that all Denphal hybrids have in common (though most at this point are multigenerational complex hybrids), which is why they all have the same cane/leaf structure, and why they all flower out the top of the cane. If you look at pure species Dendrobiums, they are all different shapes and sizes actually. Dendrobium Nobile and Dendrobium Kingianum hybrids are two other big parent groups that dens come in, and have different structures reflecting their respective parents.
I'm currently watching this video now and I really envy you coz you were able to have an amazing tour inside that nursery. I'm having a mixed emotion right now. Makes me want to fly in Indonesia so I can see these beautiful plants myself. I'm from the Philippines by the way.
What a wonderful nursery with so much varieties and big plants, big tree fern, big homalomena, OMG thanks a lot for this lovely nursery visit also for introducing anthurium polyschistum. Lots of lovely variegated plants too!!! Wow. Happy that u got that beautiful musa and I think anthurium polyschistum 😊

Whoaa thank you that would be a dream
Need that Zamia! I also don't mind walking through an orchid nursery without blooms. It's just like all the other plants!
I loved this video, I would love a follow up when up when you figure out the names etc. But it was great 👍
Your nursery tours are my favorite 👍👍
Thank you 😌
Really enjoyed the tour. The varieties were mind blowing. I only wish that you had taken a close up of the plants that you bought online. I'm curious on how they look.
I actually took closeup videos but forgot to insert them. Ahhhhhh
hi!i love your videos.they are so inspiring also scary sometimes when you propagate rare and unusual plants.i wish you show more of these plant nurseries.i too spend a lot of money on plants even though i plan not to.i would really appreciate a tour of your green space.
thanking you
The plant at 33.17 is pellionia repens, love at first sight for me, was so happy when i found cuttings of it.
It is so beautiful.. like tie dye fabric from the 70s
Yes that's right. I remember this plant from Summer Rayne, another youtuber that I follow. Btw love love this tour Sean, I am right there with you spirit saying helloooo to all the plants.
thanks for making this video! I love going to the nursery. Don't cut off the orchid spike, it will bloom again or when the flowering is over, you can apply keiki aste to the nodes on the spike to induce keiki growth there.
Thank youuu. The flowers on secondary spikes are so tiny though... but Im all for the keikis! 😀
One of my favourite videos from you!!!!😍
Whoaaa thank you
